Wow, respect. In my country (Belgium, Europe) there are no trucks for this type of collection. Residents are forced to take them to a recycling center themselves. There are one or more per city. The trucks only collect non-recycling waste bins (gray bins), plastics (blue bins), food waste (green bins) and cardboard boxes. For the rest (armchairs, wood, metal) must go to a recycling center.
Well... in stupid Russia where I live, the garbage is almost not sorted. And the residents collect the leaves in heaps and set them on fire, but they don’t burn because they lie in a dense layer, they smoke for hours, and everyone breathes it. The whole city is covered in fog from this smoke. Some idiots try to burn garbage, but it doesn’t burn, it lies in a dense layer, and the plastic smokes for weeks, well...🤦♂
From a German perspective this video seems surreal. Dont people have, like, compost piles at their homes, why would they throw away perfectly fine compost?😅

Tip for the plum bottoms is to feather the packer with the handles by pushing in the carrier panel handle then pulling the packer handle almost all the way out. It’ll allow for 1 man operation of the packer.
You "can" but not allowed. Same with splitting the handles. If you bypass those buttons, big no no. In order for those two buttons to function, the driver has to press and hold his.
@@southpineshooligan I run the hopper while I'm riding on the back all the time, technically it's against the life preservation rules but it's so much faster running it while riding. Plus you learn to run the hopper in certain ways so everything doesn't fall out or push everything out of the hopper. This guy would be fired if he worked our division
@mike_Oxlong-c4f Believe me, so did I, I would always cycle on the move. It's so much more efficient and easy to do one-handed. But I also got pissed when a truck couldn't be split. It's so annoying having a driver who a) doesn't ziptie his button down and / or b) doesn't pay attention to when he should be holding his button down. As a thrower, you're doing all the work. You shouldn't have to wait on some asshole sitting on his ass not paying attention.

This video was shot in Canada, likely around the Toronto area. The collection of yard waste is done separately from regular garbage and the trucks are emptied at an organics facility that will compost the collected material. Sorry to be long winded here. I hope this helps.
Amazing to see how other places and companies do it. I’m a driver on a yard waste route, we only take bags. We won’t empty out cans/totes or take wood other then small branches.

Composting takes a lot of time. Typically more then just leaves too. Slower over winter. Most people want their yards looking good, and high quality compost.
I wouldn't stand for it wasting time and energy you bust your tail are they chasing the Duggar and tail end I did 3 years behind a Same truck trash and yard debris for Harris sanitation in Florida keep pumping along I know it's hard up there you got my respect

Cuts at 17-1900 revs on most trucks, comes back when they go back down. Theres also a 3rd button in some cases the driver needs to press which can be a factor
Why don't two people go behind? Here in Brazil, we walk more than three people and it works and comes faster. But there it's a little better than here, where you pick up even the leaves that fall here in Brazil 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😃👍

Here in Norway we dont put leaves/grass or any of that type in the waste truck but you shouldve been 2 people on the back doing that stuff 1 on each side of the road. But like this is way too much for you and i can see you are rushing it hopping on and off even on short stops. Plus that presser (idk what its called) is soooo slow like wtf

The sweeper blade is slow, not sure what’s up with it however this company has 1 person on the back and only collects one side of the street at a time
