Amazing video! I am a garbage truck enthusiast from America and I find Australian garbage trucks fascinating! This driver is efficient, and I enjoyed the hopper footage! Friendly vibes from USA 🇺🇸
I really found this POV extremely satisfying and I think recycling was a great choice for this POV. I agree with you that the lifter and packer worked together much better than I have seen and it was quite a challenge with so many boxes not being broken down. I hope there are more videos planned with this POV even though it must be nerve wracking waiting for your gopro to fall into the hopper. Excellent video, well done Hayden 👍👏
Without the well experienced driver behind the wheel, your regular driver would take a good chunk of the day to service an area like this. Good stuff Hayden, would be keen to see moee
Over here in the uk , who have a better system with the front n rear end loader collections, with 2 at a time going on, that street at 5:27 would be done in half the time it takes that truck doing 1 at a time
SPAK handled the recyclables quite well. The one garbage packer that will never have problems with recyclable items! It can also handle regular garbage too! I've seen videos of it packing lots of different items!
Nice video, good to see the unit lines getting done with a top operator. 1:00 is the garbage in this street serviced by a rear loader? I was having a look at it on google maps and saw a RL there.
I'm glad you've captured this, those first 6 bins prove that all that racket after them, is to save at best 2 seconds on the whole pendulum cycle. Coupled with the typical emptying while packing, rather then the quicker emptying while retracting. Before you lot go and protect the truck killer from "Mr Negative", all of what I am repeating I learnt off real old school Garbo's, that worked with their equipment not against it.
Don't they want to recycle some of the garbage or have they developed a different way of sorting it out. Just seems like general waste all into one wheelie bin!!!
Pretty sad to see just about every bin was contaminated, polystyrene, packing peanuts, plastic bags and some bags full of rubbish. Come on Australia, do better!
Just seeing the sheer amount of rubbish we throw out is overwhelming to say the least my hats go off to you guys

You're very welcome, Hayden 👍 especially satisfying from that angle.

Go book!
@2:26 was wondering where my TV remote went 😅
is this with a magnet or a jaws? if jaws can you show me where you stuck it?
magnet, just on the roof above the hopper on the edge facing half the lifter and half the hopper
Alot of bins for one place
Who is taking all the bins out to be picked up ?
i think in this area the residents do it but i could be wrong, i know in the other unit areas veolia have runners that pull the bins out
1:26 bird took a huge shit in that bin💀
Can u do one with rubbish please?
1:11 What is this?! A Training Camp for Special Refuse Forces?

Why is there so many cans?
Because some people are just too lazy to cash them in.
Nobody uses trash bags
