This year I am more interested in the WEC than in F1, although it has the BOP, I find the WEC much more attractive today than F1, plus the fact that there are so few races compared to F1. It makes the expectation in each of them grow. Also for a motorsport fan, seeing different engines, twin turbo, single turbo, different displacements, all-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, different sounds, make today the Championship chosen by the Brands to participate in. Even in 2025 we will hear a V12 on the tracks in a TOP FIA category!!! This is unbeatable!
For me the Lamborghini excites me the most, but the BMW program also does, i think BMW will be competitive and reliable because it raced last season in the US.
Interesting to see what can Isotta Fraschini do, it would be good benchmark to have Vanwall on the grid to see if they are much faster than them or if slower, then much much work to do
The entry is nteresting indeed, but it's a shame it doesn't look as slick or refined as the other hypercars, it doesn't feel unique, just like another regular LMP2/3.
Well Isotta Fraschini is exciting because it's an LMH car but it's also cool that the Lambo is running a Ligier chassis and the Alpine is a great sounding car so I'm excited to hear it running in person at Spa. Lots of exciting entries and I think we should see some tighter competition this year.
The old Alpine A480 cracks me up, an Oreca 05 based Oreca 07 LMP2 car built up to LMP1 specs for Rebellion, then detuned back to the pace of pre restriction Oreca 07.

I am a big and longtime F1 fan, but these hypercars are absolutely in their own class of beauty. WEC is much better racing than F1. And when you other factories join Toyota, it is exciting.

@kpl4174 sorry, dude, but when FIA mad the final list of participants in Hypercars for th '24 season, Vanwall didn't make it. Even with their announcement of switching to Pipo engines, they said no. Maybe for '25, if they can get the car straightened out.
I do hope their prototypes are more reliable than their GT3s. The reliability of those cars have been awful for a 2 or 3 years and they have lost teams because of it.
@@guybeingaguy I never said that. I said they have plenty of experience making powerful engines and fast cars and that it'll be interesting to see how that experience transfers to hyper car racing.

The problem continues to be twofold: in profile, fans can’t tell the difference in the cars. They all look spec. 2nd, neither IMSA nor the WEC/FIA let them race. All finishes are contrived with the absurd yellows, pit rules, gathering the classes, etc. Teams cannot have strategies anymore. Love road/sports car racing but the sanctioning bodies need to get the hell out the race. Too many damn rules and regs
In part i agree. Mostly with the class gathering on yellows. At the start of the night Peugeot had almost a minute of advantage in the leading, with the chance of the faster Toyotas, Ferraris and Caddys to catch up if conditions on the track improved (it rained, that gave some advantage to the Peugeots), after the 7 Toyota crash, thanks to the class merge, all that advantage was lost, allowing the other teams to surpass the Peugeot and leaving them in fourth place very quickly, forcing them to try to keep up ending in the crash at the first chicane, plus ending their chances. What if those new merging rules wouldn't had happen?. The night in LM last year was amazing but it could had been better if the Peugeot mantained the advantage and the others worked hard to catch up. Instead of two brands it could had ended with four brands battling for the win in the morning hours.
WEC is not like F1, which can run 23 races in one year. Maximum amount of races for WEC would be around 10. Keep in mind that not all tracks are suitable for WEC LMH. Barthurst in Australia would be nice but not doable due to it being so narrow, and some tracks do not have enough of pit boxes for the teams, especially since LMH category is growing massively
@@guybeingaguyWEC has as much as racing as F1 with the current amount of races. All finishes are contrived with the absurd yellows, pit rules, gathering the classes, etc. Teams cannot have strategies anymore. Love road/sports car racing but the sanctioning bodies need to get the hell out the race. Too many damn rules and regs
That’s mostly due the fact that most of the manufacturers are choosing the cheaper lmdh rules set.
Bro you blind
I can tell the difference easily
So don't watch. There are millions of us who love this racing as it is.
52 weeks in a year and the WEC can only grace us peasants with 8 races?
WEC is crap!
French arrogance on full display.
@@kpl4174 I only go to the extreme of blocking someone when they post something REALLY REALLY REALLY stupid.
CONGRATULATIONS!
@@guybeingaguyWEC has as much as racing as F1 with the current amount of races. Keep in mind a WEC race is at least 3 times as long as your normal F1 race, even though teams have way less money compared to F1. There are also many different endurance racing championships that shouldn't clash else teams / drivers can't do both.
I can´t wait for the season to start.
Btw, on the entry list BMW WRT have 2 drivers. Sheldon van der Linde on the #20 and the brother of Laurens (porsche) Dries Vanthoor on the #15. Will we see the brother's fight on track? 🫣
Indeed! BMW do have those two drivers and Robin Frijns also confirmed for an LMDh drive. But unlike Lamborghini or Alpine, their lineups have yet to be fully confirmed. Glad you’re looking forward to the season! It’s set to be incredible 👏
I think marciello is a safecall for the lmdh since He joined BMW
@@pacmaniacer I'd be shocked if he wasn't. That was a big coup for them getting him away from Mercedes. I wonder too that if Valentino Rossi has a successful 2023 in GTs, if they may move him to the prototypes in 2025. That would be BIG for WEC and Prototype racing worldwide if it happened.
@@williamford9564 AMG missed the Point to get in the hypercar Ära. Its booming right now. I would Not be surprised If Ford and McLaren would Join the Party 😉
@@pacmaniacer Mercedes doesn't have a good "relatiónship" with Le mans or prototype racing alltogether.

The GR010 destroyed it for the entire 2023 season..you were lucky that BoP helped Ferrari in LM.
