Tbh, I personally like the first draft the most (the one with Eze and Solanke). Maybe, it's because I have a very similar team myself with Eze and Solanke (total of 8 players in common), but I'm not on WC so that makes me feel that my decision to postpone it for a few game weeks is okay :D I'm obviously lacking Trent and Saka in it, but have Salah, so hopefully he can repay in the nearest matches)
Two things for me to consider on my wildcard this week 1. Is Tavernier a better option than Semenyo? That 0.1m difference is essential to me and may force me to buy Tavernier but he also seems to have great underlying numbers 2. Is Havertz an avoid? While arsenal have great fixtures, the loss of odegaard pushing havertz deeper makes him a less appealing option as he seems to have less of a goal involvement. Difficult to decide however as he's played against Tottenham and Man city without odegaard so far only
I think sometimes you have to take a step back and say, am I really wildcarding into double Everton attack?! DCL will be injured in 2 weeks to compound the misery.
I’m thinking about risking it with Foden. He looks like he’s just about ready and he would be an amazing differential especially if he’s anything like last season
one great addition you can do is to add your team value below the remaining budget line. just for reference. it will help ppl out with their tinkering and such.
Dropped Pedro Porro, Jota and Szmodics for Gabriel, Diaz and Partey. I liked the look of Reiss Nelson but I think it’s too soon for him to start regularly over Adama and Partey is nailed minutes whilst arsenal could easily keep 3 clean sheets in next 3 games.
Bruno’s play has been quite bad in the last few games. I wouldn’t be shocked if he was subbed early sometimes or even dropped with a fit Erikaen, Zirkzee and Mount coming through. Sounds crazy but it could happen.
I think Wolves having a bad defense is very debatable. Their organization is spot on, but I think they have been really unlucky with their lapses in concentration towards the end of matches. Plus, Wolves have faced Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle and Aston Villa in their 1st matches which is a bad draw in any sense of the word. Other than the concentration issue I think O'neil ball will cook in the coming weeks.
I have Flekken in goal, Trent, Porro, Son, Mazroui, Fernandez, Rogers, Haaland, Semenyo and Jao Pedro. My only headaches are Jota and Isaak and Mosquera. Chances are Jota could play next gameweek, Mosquera could be benched anyway, therefore I will have to deal with Isaak - I can't see myself wildcarding as my team isnt that bad. I have only one free transfer, so I might even take a -4 if it saves the wildcard.
SUPER happy with my team for this week!!! Blew my WC GW1 due to Solanke, Barco, Quansah and Palmer flag. (i think FPL towers should refund my WC given the no price drop nonsense on Solanke lol!) Still worked out ok in the long run, 101.7 team value now. RAYA, Valdi. TRENT, GABRIEL, PORRO, Faes, Greaves (good rotations/cover) DIAZ, PALMER, MBUENO, SEMENYO, ROGERS HAALAND, JACKSON, Pedro 3-5-2 just need to drop Porro to Lewis at some point to fund a 4.5 keeper when the opportunity to BB comes up.
I wildcarded in 5 because my team looked awful and got 70 points and have gained a mil in team value which I like to try and do early in the season. Salah and smith rowe to saka and Diaz looking likely, Diaz is a bit risky but he’s in such good form and if it doesn’t work I can do solanke to joao pedro and Diaz to palmer/son
Too many wingers at Liverpool, diaz could play a CL game and get rotated out for gakpo or Diogo jota for league games or could even be rested so he doesn't get injured.
4 games in, this is what i learned.. Tribble arsenal defense with Taa added, is set and forget. Haaland up front, is set and forget. Chelsea will be scorring goals, and palmer is set and forget.. Use transfers to rotate remaining 6 spot between cheep enablers, with good fixture and run of form.
I commend your Fernandes loyalty! It’s interesting you compare him to Luiz Diaz where you are worried about his minutes yet he is returning but you’d rather keep Fernandez who isn’t returning because he plays 90? 🤔
With Rodri out for long term, do you think Lewis becomes an option as they should need more players in the midfield where Lewis operated early on this season?

Diaz is most likely nailed, you don't bench a player who plays better than Salah at the moment, his minutes are managed until the 60-70th minute and that technically means that you don't need to rest him / let Gakpo start instead... Gakpo can start instead of Jota / Nunez and not Salah. also Salah doesn't have those runs in him anymore, not dribbling like he used
I think we should look at the expected stats from the attackers we target, but also take the entire attacking ability of a team into account. Some players play for teams that are so bad that we just shouldn't touch them. Palace, Newcastle, United. The players look ok individually, but I am not buying them before the team improves. I have doubts about Everton, great fixtures but a bad team. At least they are cheap. It is also why I slightly prefer double Arsenal defence over double attack, their attacking output is not great yet. I do like the Spurs attack, Solanke and maybe Maddison are interesting. Chelsea is a weird one, if you drop the wolves game it is not that exceptional. When you combine that with the fixtures I find it difficult to justify Palmer or Jackson. This wildcard is hard to get right.
I have watkins now, just depend on his stat and decide whether downgrade to solanke in gwk 8, but villa still get fulham and bournamouth which is attractive for watkins

I see people say a team e.g Liverpool has difficult fixtures so will take those players out, but a team on good form will not struggle as much as you'd expect in those matches. Opposite is true with Everton for example having great fixtures coming. However, their form may be gash so having easy fixtures may not help them. I'd avoid Everton.

Check price changes on Hub (link in description) - sell players before they drop if you don’t want them, buy players before they rise if you do 😁 You’ve missed any potential double rises at this point so no need to worry about that.

I'm not having a pop but to say he finishes chances well doesn't sit well with me. I still remember when ronaldo was here he passed it to bruno, one on one with the Brighton keeper and he fluffed it. Eze is an amazing price and even the numbers. Ive got rid of him in wildcard week for the 1 fact alone that hes now not taking penalties. That is the killer and almost 7mill for a palace player not on penalties just doesnt make sense. I would rather a man city punt at 6.5 and realistically they can score 4/5 goals against anybody in the league.. i personally went for semenyo in, great fixtures and he has all the same benefits of eze but he potentially takes pennas, is 1.5 mill cheaper. I also think mbueno over eze all day again because of pennas and everything else. Id rather save the money and have semenyo, much cheaper and same posatives for eze and him and then i have tht money in the bank

Going for McNeil and DCL is just asking for pain. I'd take a punt on Mavididi/Semenyo instead of McNeil since they have better goal threat.
I think two Everton players on Wild Card is a bit risky. If they were playing better I would go for it. Am just going with McNeil for now.

@LetsTalkFPL Andy I get it, but I've seen recently he's getting more fancy when he doesn't need to, and that's why the stats looks great but he's not finishing. I'm not having a pop but to say he finishes chances well doesn't sit well with me.
I still remember when ronaldo was here he passed it to bruno, one on one with the Brighton keeper and he fluffed it. There were too many occasions in past seasons for my liking.

Eze is an amazing price and even the numbers. Ive got rid of him in wildcard week for the 1 fact alone that hes now not taking penalties. That is the killer and almost 7mill for a palace player not on penalties just doesnt make sense. I would rather a man city punt at 6.5 and realistically they can score 4/5 goals against anybody in the league.. i personally went for semenyo in, great fixtures and he has all the same benefits of eze but he potentially takes pennas, is 1.5 mill cheaper.
I also think mbueno over eze all day again because of pennas and everything else. Id rather save the money and have semenyo, much cheaper and same posatives for eze and him and then i have tht money in the bank

Iv'e taken a -4 to get from Salah to Saka, Gibbs-White to Mbuemo and Muniz to Havertz. My budget would have been 0,0 mil and I did not want to get a price drop since it would ruin my plans. Vary risky but I'll hope it pays of🙏
