Great review. Nick's encyclopedic knowledge of films is amazing. Thank you both for the dedication you have given to making these. As always thanks for posting. Much love

I figured Joseph really didn't like it, by the length of the video😊

👁👄👁 Joseph staring into the camera while Nick very charitably tries to ascribe meaning to the film's imagery

I so agree with Joseph's idea that this would be better as an installation of vignettes ... which you could discuss later over wine. I do thank the both of you for spoiling this for me. I got to see that if you stop the film at any point, you are looking at a fantastic still photo. (I studied art, then photography at University, so I can really see how terrific these stills are on their own.) But 80 minutes of watching one after the next would ruin it for me. So thanks for sparing me that. Also, love the sort of deadpan closeups on Joseph's face as he's hearing certain descriptions of it. 😆 I LOVE YOU GUYS! ❤❤

Great video. I’ve worked in doctors offices and answering service after hours, that doctors office scene with the priest is so great. At a certain point it really is like “ok your leg is broken but we’re closed I’m so sorry come back tomorrow”.

The Roy Andersson set came out last week in the U.K. I love the living trilogy. I do have a very dry sense of humour though and even then, you have to be really in the mood for it. Like you said, they aren’t the sort of movies you’d watch back to back with any of his others. Love the attention to detail in some scenes and the general absurdity going on (especially in the background). Great review fellas 👊

This movie would be in the artsy category & I would probably watch it. If I’m curious about a book or a film, I’ll probably look for it till I get the book or rent it. I like a majority of the film & tv event reviews on this channel...that’s why I click on most of the notifications like a “Jeopardy” contestant😉💡

I've been to some art installations with many short vignette that spark discussion later. And, I enjoyed most of them. But I wouldn't want to watch an 88 minute (very dry) movie about them. Some pieces just work better in different situations. It doesn't make them any less or more. (Context matters.)
Thank you for saving me from something I don't believe that I'd enjoy. Those deadpan looks get me every time. The two of you are so adorable together. 💜

I've only seen one other Andersson film (You, the Living) and I like both that, as well as this film. But he's someone I also would have a hard time recommending, because he's definitely not for everyone, haha. It's a film that I think can be just appreciated for its craft, even if someone doesn't necessarily like the movie. And I'm not surprised when I hear someone say they don't like a movie of his, but I enjoyed this for what it was. I still gotta check out his other films. Great review as always!

Love what you guys do. I'm not gay , actually a conservative republican but that doesnt come into play when i choose entertainment. Everyone has a right to do their own thing so keep doing yours. You guys are entertaining and we mostly agree when it comes to quality films.
