This camera never ceases to amaze me, thats a big distance and we can still see some detail on the mountain and, i'm guessing that was through glass, which if was would be quite thick i imagine....
Oh yes, you can probably see the lights reflecting at the start. I honestly think it has one of the best views in all of Tokyo but when the sun hits it’s a battle 😂
Hi Gerard, in automatic I always zoom in first to let the auto focus find its sweet spot and then I hit record. That way it holds its focus point and you can zoom back and forth. If that still isnt helping you might want to give the manual focus a try.
I once had a Nikon P1000, the zooming on that moon is real, but it could still throw some moon detailing AI stuff like what samsung did with its phone but I could be 100% wrong cause the zooming on the P1000 is legit, you can see clearly for about 50 kilometers of zooming. I once saw online were a guy zoomed from his hotel to Mt Fuji which was about 94km and that's saying something.
Nice one my friend . .You did well to get that distance! We have just moved to the Norfolk Broads area in the UK, and looking to make more use of my P1000, not necessarily for the zoom, but more generally for all the other options it's capable of . .Makes a change from recording my music vids! According to the Earth Curvature Calculator there is 2,243 feet of curvature.
