When I tell you this week was one of the most exciting of my life (or at least 2023), believe me! When it was announced that a theatre adaptation of A Little Life was coming to the west end, I was first in (the theoretical) line for tickets and this week, the day finally arrived and it was time to head down to London to see the A Little Life play - I'll let the vlog fill you in, but let's just say it was incredible - enjoy!

    Yes!!! A HP reread!!!
Sounds like One True Loves is a continuation of Cast Away if Tom Hanks hadn’t told her to stay.

I saw A Little Life on stage last week and filmed a vlog too! I agree that it's so hard to give a succinct review because there is just so much to say about it. Glad that you enjoyed ❤

I agree that curtain calls can be a very emotional part of any live show for the audience and the performers. When an artist has portrayed a character so well and with so much vulnerability, when they present as themselves at the end of the show, it is almost a MORE vulnerable moment in a way. It's like they are saying, "I've just left everything I have on the stage for you. This is me." I have a family member who is a performer, so this really hits home for me. I'm so glad you discovered that doing things by yourself can be fun! 😊

sometimes you're really tired but excited too so you're not aware of it and you get on the train and take out your book or your phone and the next thing you know you're ten miles past your stop with a some drool dripping from the corner of your mouth and it's too cold to walk and the only thing to do is call home for a ride but there's one open shop on an otherwise dark street. . . .

30:15 I think you perfectly expressed here the feeling of being transported in the theater, and the level of empathy you feel, not just for the characters but the performers themselves. Only people who love a play know it👏🏻

I've had many solo trips to London specifically to see a show. I couldn't recommend it enough. I'm so glad you loved your trip and the A Little Life adaptation sounds amazing. I can't tell you how many times I've welled up at curtain calls so you're not alone!! Can't wait to see what you see next.

I'm so happy the solo trip was a success! I also have a tendency to only do things when I have people with me and I know it's not always healthy, it's so nice to have this reminder that going out of our comfort zones can bring a lot of joy and growth ❤

We had a couple of cinema screenings of the play here in Finland just beginning of October, and it's interesting to hear about the experience live. Because in cinema form there were times at least half of the 400-body audience were sobbing in chorus, myself VERY MUCH included. 😅
I haven't read the book, and initially after the screening I was certain I never will, but ever since I have been in "A little life" -UA-cam spiral. I may have to get my hands on a copy as there's a book fair in Helsinki next week. 😇

Loved the vlog, you go girl! I am guilty of this dependency thing as well, I need to start doing things on my own, it has always felt good in the past!

I loved this vlog! I think I’m the opposite, I’m so independent that I forget, hey, I bet someone else would LOVE to do this with me 😂 Heading to London for the first time in July. I’ve flown into Heathrow before but went on to Poland and the Czech Republic after that so I don’t think it counts as visiting there 😅

I agree jewelry can really elevate an outfit‼️ Yeah I have mixed feelings about the new Harry Potter series. I have a bit of codependency issue to mostly I have ADHD and autism so a lot of time I need someone to help me‼️
Ps: I finished all my April reads which were all excellent‼️ Up next I got 64 pages to go in An Arrow To The Moon which is a modern day Romeo & Juliet story with mythical elements‼️ Last but not least The Downstairs Girl which about Jo Kaun who lost her job as a 👒 maker and now has to work as lady’s maid to the bratty Caroline‼️
