Yes! It's part of the human condition that we reveal different facets of our personality to different people. I tend to keep myself to myself usually, unless someone curious asks in which case I will give info about myself based on my perception of how conservative or liberal the person I am talking to happens to be. I have lived, and will continue to live, quite a varied life with many adventures that the more conservative minded might take offense to, so I prefer not to scare people away if I can help it! There is a however though - I absolutely will not hide any part of my life from anyone who asks. So I won't keep secrets from people, but then I just won't offer up things that could be considered more personal. I tend to mirror the person a bit as well. So if I have the company of a conservatively minded person I won't tell them things that are likely to upset them significantly (at least until I know them a bit better at which point I become a "take it or leave it" person where I expect them to accept me for the person I am and the things I like. If I am present with someone more liberal then I am happy to share the things of my life that a more liberal person would not get offended over, again though this is until I know them better and become that "take it or leave it" person. If I remember my psychology learnings correctly, we ALL present different faces to different people. The more self-confident will have less faces compared to the less self-confident who will present with many different faces to their personality.
Very nice
