    I just bought this battery pack roofing nailer, and used it today on a job. It worked great. I bought an additional two 6ah battery packs because l didn't feel the one that came with it was had enough operating life. (that cost an additional $180) so it's a $600 set up that would go about 10 squares without a battery charge with 3 battery packs. It's a little heavy, but with one 6ah battery l put on about 4 squares in about 3 hours. It's a little slower than air, but great for someone who's not super fast nailer. It can also be used to install concrete flooring board, for siding installing fan fold house wrap J channel steel bottom starter corner post (everythingbut nailing the siding on), great for 4 bundle valley repairs, 3 bundle redo chimney flashing jobs, 2 bundle pich break tear out repairs when doing a flat roof. I think every roofer should have at least one of them. Spend the extra $180 and get a longer lasting two 6ah battery packs. Time is money spend the $420 with tax for the nailer the $180 for the extra battery packs and you can save time and storage space. If your a roofer you got to have this nailer.

      You can use a flex volt battery, I use it on my framing gun.

      That sounds like it should also work. The main concern i can think of would be the weight, since folks already complain that this unit is heavy with the regular battery. But it may be worth looking into. Good Suggestion.

    May end up picking one of these up for medium sized repairs and chimney repairs. I'll probably wait til price drops a bit. Also eager to see who else comes out with one to compete with this

    Do I need this gun if I'm not full-time roofer but want to help[ with roofing work from time to time using a good framing nailer. I appreciate your 2 cents about dropping it from the roof. Lol good to know about!

      I would say it depends on if you are going to use it on big jobs or for repairs. I feel confident in recommending for repairs. For big jobs, only time will tell.

    Honestly most guys have multiple batteries so don't see any issues there if it gets rid of hooking up compressor and hose. Just resheathed a 1500sq ft roof with the Dewalt 21° framing nailer. I'd do it again the same way just to have the freedom of no hose. Sadly I couldn't find this roofing gun to use on the shingles

    • @RENOS4PROSJOES

      Agreed. If you are someone that is already invested in Dewalt battery powered tool platform, I can see how this could be a no-brainer. Cheers!

    I dunno what shingles you use, but the bundles are 70-100lbs... if they cant move the compressor they shouldn't be lifting bundles.

    • @RENOS4PROSJOES
      @RENOS4PROSJOES  4 роки тому +3

      Agreed. But you can break a bundle down and move them in more manageable numbers. The compressor, not so much.

      Get electric dipped such as metabo exteriors and they will work fine, but screwing will always be best

    I watched a while. I'll watch more later. 36 minutes is a long video for youtube. Just saying. I'm going to get one as soon as they are available. I wouldn't use it for a large roof, but for 10 sq, definitely. I do like your presentation, so far. They aren't available until September 29th, 2020.

      They have restocked a few times, but they quickly sell out. This video is an unboxing demonstration and cost comparison between this tool, and a standard roofing setup. Regarding the length of this video: I guess I could have split this content into 2-3 videos, but decided to a make one comprehensive video. Cheers.

    • @johnnylawson69
      @johnnylawson69 4 роки тому

      @@RENOS4PROSJOES Don't take my "length of video" the wrong way. I'm sure it's a good video and of appropriate length. As someone who has installed way more shingles than I ever wanted to, I just didn't need to see more.
      I thought the video was good. Looking back, I can see how my comment could be misunderstood.
      Keep up the good work.
