Kapil Dev - he is a patriot. The best captain that India has ever had. I dont know why he hasn't gotten any Bharat Ratna or other civial awards?
He was awarded Padma Bhushan upon completing 400 test wickets in 1992. If only he got a chance to retire on a high since a bit of break could've enabled him to deliver strongly on tough tours like South Africa or Australia, he'd definitely have got Padma Vibhushan too.
India is blessed to have great players like Kapil, Ganguly, Sachin, Dravid and Dhoni (others too).
I dont see a reason to say why Ganguly should be rated higher than Dhoni or vice versa.

But for a team and that believe "Yes, you can win..you have to", we always need to bow to Dada for that. Thank You Dada, may be didn't win WC or Champions Trophy in the FINALS. But you are the one because of whom, India is India today. Took the reins in 2000 and took us from the 8th spot in Tests to No.3 and made us proud. 2011 wins owes a lot to you.SALUTE YOU!
