At last!!! 😃 Someone MAKING MUSIC in a synth video!!! Not just bleeps and noises just trying to demonstrate how clever the demonstrator is!!! This IS music!!! Thanks!!!
Those videos you are referring to are where someone shows you how the waveshapes sound or what the filter is like. They are made more for people like me who are actually interested in the synth itself and its parameters. If I'm going to buy one I want to know the details.
@@mariusleicht Thanks Marius. I'm deep into making an ARP documentary at the moment btw. Interviewed the people who invented the original Odyssey as part of that. :)
Great! Looking forward to that. There's history to the ARP Odyssey I have as well. Got it from a former employee of Vermona, the company making music electronics, organs and Synthesizers in the former GDR. He had it sit in his garage for decades and the story goes that back in the day someone has been sent through the iron curtain to Western Germany to buy an ARP Synthesizer and bring it back for the engeneers to analyze the circuits for the electronic design of the Vermona Synthesizer (which I also have). And this is the very unit they got for that purpose.
@@mariusleicht Wow - that's a great story! The hand built nature and the history of these old instruments is part of the experience I find. In his interview Dave Friend gave an account of visiting a factory where they were reverse engineering ARP synths under almost lab conditions and that will appear in the documentary. Didn’t realise that happened in Europe too, but makes sense. Very cool you have a mark I too. I'm recording with one next week as I have the mark II and wanted to get some audio / footage of the first one with the 2-pole filter.
Used to own a 2800. It was the most natural sounding synth ever. With careful patching it could emulate real instruments like no other. Not that there's anything to do with this video.
Hi have both the Odyssey and 2600 from Uli 😃😆And they is true to the original Sound Massive and good, also have the Poly D and it is also fantastic If i compare it to my Mini Moog Model D it is as close as it could be, Wish ya´ a great time with your Odyssey Love cheers🎹💚
I keep returning to this video, absolutely mesmerizing!!!! Any chance of getting the Behringer patch-settings? I’m driving my wife crazy trying to emulate yours 😊
Manche trinken Whiskey aus irgendwelchen Gründen mit Soda. Baahh!! Pur ist am besten. So auch dieses kurze Jam-Video. Synthesizer pur. Das schmeckt! Mehr davon ....
I have to ask: I noticed you have taken the caps off the sliders on both synths. Is there a reason for that or just an aesthetic choice for you? Great piece by the way, as always!
Thank you for the compliments. I took the sliders caps off of the ARP when I took it apart for repair and left it that way for a long time. Placed the caps back recently when I took some photos of it for my website. The Behringer doesn‘t have slider caps out of the box, it‘s got leds instead.
alla fine.... com'è questo Odyssey di Behringer? Perchè io onestamente di Behringer non mi fido. Ho già preso una fregatura colossale con Model D. Una vera porcheria.
That‘s right, it‘s not even in the same ballpark. The Behringer has its sweet spots. But when it comes to high filter resonances or heavy modulations, the ARP is a completely different beast.

Uncredible beautiful! Thank you!
I keep coming back to this video. It's such a beautiful performance. The synths play off one another perfectly. Thanks again.
synth monk confirmed!
Always enjoy your uploads Marius. Both Odysseys sound great, especially with a splash of Space Echo. 👍
Thanks a lot! Same for you, I'm a subscriber of your channel and absolutely dig it.

Klasse Sounds, starke Performance, Traum-Equipment.
Been waiting to do a low quality ripoff version of this video with my 2 Mono/Polys. Just need to let my hair grow another couple inches.
Danke Marius.
So incredibly awesome man!!
Great Piece! And what a nice cat 🐱
Wonderful piece! However, your cat chose none of the synths in the end =))
Das war großartig. Dieses verdammte Echo
AWESOME LOVE THE VIBE!
❤❤❤
Wonderful melody!! What kind of scale are you using?
That would totally kill my back.
Very inspiring!!!!
Damn. I felt that, and judging by the performance, so did you. Thank you for sharing.
Signal path?! Delay/reverb tends to obscure differences …
Der inspector katzen ;) great performace
Hope someday behringer does a white case one. The korg fs is so expensive...

Is there any chances to get these tracks available on Tidal? UA-cam does not allow to enjoy the full quality:)
I'm getting Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds vibes from the white synth
It's making the Martian sounds 🤔
Looked it up, apparently he used an ARP Odyssey

the sample and hold on the Behringer doesn't sound like that

you definitely know how to target your audience
Not THAT is music!
From the first angle you look like a college girl or something lolol
He is bald but he has hair
