    Mam here depolarisation occurs due to blockage of pottasium channel thus prevent the efflux of pottasium .(cells are bag of pottasium)-thus increase of pottasium intercellular ly …..bt mam saying its reversly…..Can u clarify that

    As per KD Tripathi, Beta cell membrane depolarizes and opens up the Ca2+ channels only when K+ channels gets blocked by ATP and outward flow of K+ restricts. this inhibition of K+ outflow rises the intracellular K+ ions and this increased K+ inside depolarizes the membrane.
    But you are saying its fall in intracellular K+ concentration that depolarizes the beta cell membrane.
    All other references are supporting the statement of KD Tripathi book. please review.
