It's a fun, energetic parade that includes dancing, aerialists, tumblers and features many of your favorite characters including the Minions, Spongebob and Squidward. The parade is performed daily, usually around mid to late afternoon so check Universal’s showtime guide for exact times. Inkiad Kabir universal is a far smaller area, so in order to make it possible for people to easily move around the park they have to keep it short

Its amazing how subpar this is to disney, disney really puts time into this i dont think they need a parade but depending on what universal owns one could be like a kids parade dora and all that, one could be animation shrek, and you could do a live action transformers fast and furious parade
I would want to see Popeye, Bluto, Olive Oyl, Woody Woodpecker, Winnie Woodpecker, Betty Boop, Rocky and Bullwinkle on a Toon Lagoon style float, giving a tribute to the old Universal cartoons!

Where are The Universal Studios Monsters? I don't see much of them anymore. So sad!
I marched in Universal Orlando with my high school band and it wasn’t all that fun of a parade. The only crowd I remember along the route was Shaggy and Scooby Doo. It was a let down. But this year we are marching in Magic Kingdom and I know it will be worth it.
Maybe the Disney fan is coming out in me but US parades don’t gove me the same wonderful feeling Disney parades do

Not just the Disney fan in you. Former UO TM here who used to work the cart right next to the parade route. I remember when they told me I could watch the parade there I got excited because I thought it was gonna be on the same quality as Festival of Fantasy or MSEP.
I was very disappointed then and my disappointment exists now because it is not as good.
No offense univeresal, The universal parades are good, but they just don't compare to disney parades

Hannah Dempsey I know, all I meant was that just because there both parades at theme parks, doesn't mean they should be compared, but it's fine if you like disney parades better, I can't fault you for having an opinion

Just watching this video made me see how far Universal Parades are from Disney. Like Disney has it nailed down. This just seems kinda weird especially with the people dressed as minions but not in costume just walking around acting kinda awkward.
There definitely should have been a parade of minions right behind the first float, followed by the dancers
MrShmily97 actually depending on the day you go, the minions can be pretty amusing
MrShmily97 To be fair, Universal is really more of live action movies and they don't have that list of legit animated characters that are household names. Besides, Disney's characters are just too iconic and it does help that they make great animated features year after year.
gissneric and now that universal owns DreamWorks, they've been incorporating those characters into more and more stuff lately
I agree with this wholeheartedly, but I think the parades at Universal in Osaka are a lot better than this one! It has so much more energy and the crowd is always dancing around and excited too, the atmosphere is so much better! I recommend watching the 2017 Halloween parade, that was great to see!

I expect Nintendo floats added in the future because of Super Nintendo World.
I wish they would make it more for everyone. Like do a float for each genre of film. So the horror float could have Norman bates, Jason, Freddy, maybe even jack on there and the adventure could have a huge t-Rex on there with some mib agents and walking dead. I just feel like they have all these properties they could use more other than just using minions and Harry Potter
jon on snow that would be a bad idea for a parade float, since there are families that don't want there kids seeing that stuff, and the parade is sometimes unavoidable, I have a feeling we will start to see more floats eventually though, there testing out a whole new technological advanced parade at there Japan park, and they have jurassic park, Harry Potter, and transformers, parade floats, if it goes well there, I could easily see it being brought here, it uses projection mapping on the floats, which makes it far easier to use real life properties in the parade
Omg I could literally right an essay on different ip’s Universal could add to this parade. Instead of focusing on just cartoons they could add other series. Imagine a Jurassic Lark float with a giant T-Rex similar to Maleficent at Festival of Fantasy. Then the characters from either the original or World could be on a smaller expedition themed float behind them. Two Mario themed floats. Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Daisy will ride on the first float themed to the Mushroom Kingdom. Animatronic Yoshis and toads will be on the sides. The second float will feature Bowser and all the Mario enemies. Bowser Jr. could have something similar to Vector in the Despicable Me section but themed to the Clown car. A Simpsons float. The Delorean and train from Back to the Future would make great floats. Marty could drive the Delorean and Doc could control the train. Terminator float with the Terminator on it. A float with all of Hollywood’s most popular actors and actresses. I could go on forever.
Average Fanboy 1128 While I would love to see Back to the Future making a comeback as a ride or part of a Parade I don't see it happening, plus universal is going to need to pay someone who could pull off a perfect Marty Mcfly otherwise they would disappoint many fans of the films.
Please make a video about a top ten universal studios animatronics, including extinct animatronics cause there a lot of great ones please

I think the floats themselves look amazing! Me being a huge SpongeBob fan, I'd definitely be freaking out when that certain part rolled past me. I love the Despicable Me movies as well and the Minions are awesome! However I feel you can definitely see a difference in how this parade is done compared to Disney. While I don't like to pit the two together because they are completely different. Disneys parades are stunning, the floats, costumes and the actors really get in their roles. From the ground dancers to the actors portraying the Prince and Princesses, it's just really well polished. I think this parade could definitely be improved on with the length and the ground dancers in particular. The right formula is there, it just needs a few more ingredients to make it really stand out. Also I think the Dora float could go and be replaced with something else. Universal has so many properties they could use and I'm shocked the Simpsons are not included.

But Universal owns great properties such as Ghostbusters and Back to the Future. Heck, I’m surprised Universal didn’t make a rise based on the Universal Monsters. It’s strange that all of these properties are meant for children, when you see stuff like Disney, that’s meant for the whole family to enjoy, not just kids.

Because they stop and do two full 7 minute shows at high energy. Disney may have length, but Universal has added shows and surprises.

I feel like if they had one more large float plus another smaller one, it would really flush out the parade. It's a little short in its current form.
Also the music isn't the best compared to Disney, where all of the characters enthusiastically dance and sing along... it's just so much more magical!

I feel that the ensemble dancers should be given better choreography and more time in between floats to set the atmosphere
To be fair, it was very cold that day this was recorded, but I know what you mean. It also doesn't help that from one unit to the next, they're spaced out really far

CrossfireGaming true, it is a pretty mixed bag, and can affect the enjoyment of the parade, I've gone there and had awesome times watching the parade, then I've gone there other times and have been bored

Between the 3 sections together debuted from 2012, they have lost 10 dancers. They include 2 extra minion dancers, two extra fish, red tall dancer (who sits on the right-hand side of SpongeBob), 2 lovely clams (because they have lips in the center front and lovely eyes in them), 2 aerialists, and 1 extra short flower dancer.
Universal Studios Singapore has a parade that features Harry Potter, Transformers, Jurassic Park, and some Really Colorful DESPICABLE me floats

For me I’d say they should add the old Nickelodeon characters. Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Doug, and Ahh Real Monsters. I think the popularity of the splat and nostalgia would improve interest in this parade.

Your video here was great but that parade was just awful and sad. It had no spark to it and seemed like everyone in it was going through the motions like they were sleepwalking. Disney still does it the best.

I just realized something. Diego and Baby Jaguar were both in the parade. Where’s Alicia? Diego’s older sister? She was a character in the show too! Universal Studios has forgotten a main character.
Most of that parade seemed to be directed to younger kids. Personally I’m not a big fan of parades but I think they should add some more characters for older kids like the simpsons or the transformers maybe.

I know I’m a bit late to the discussion but floats inspired by Shrek and How to Train your Dragon would make great additions. Trolls as well being since it’s popular. I just think Dora and Spongebob need to go.
We were just there this last summer and had no clue about the parades. We are not parade people. This looks cute. Kinda wish we had known although my kids are spoiled by Mardi Gras parades and never want to watch the theme park kind. I really like the pop up did you knows but the type is so small I really have to squint.
