They were given to Israel as guidelines to keep themselves as a holy and set apart nation. Wearing two different fabrics is not an eternal rule of righteousness. Eating pork is unhealthy, and if you think that makes it sin, then eating junk food is also sin and just as bad. There is nothing spiritually unclean in a pig. Nor in shellfish. They are animals, just like cows and lambs. It is not written on the hearts of the gentiles to keep the 7th day without labor. (Rom 2:14,15) They don’t even have the same calendars as us. The Sabbath was given so that men, the men and women of Israel, would acknowledge the Lord their God. If we do not acknowledge the Lord our God, we will not be saved. But God does not mind whether you acknowledge him on Monday, Thursday, Wednesday or any day. “One man esteems one day above another: another esteems every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.” Romans 14:5 KJV The point is that you regard your days as the glory and grace of God to you, and worship him. “Wherefore remember, that you being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus you who sometimes were far off are made near by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of division between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of two one new man, so making peace;” Ephesians 2:11-15 KJV
