I was not only impressed by the city of London, but also by the kindness of the English people. They are very respectful. Not only did he tell me which one to take, but he also accompanied me and made sure I got on the right train. This is what made me fall in love with the United Kingdom the most.

You must be very fit to do what you do. Sleep deprivation is one of the most dispiriting experiences and I am truly amazed at how you keep your spirits up and look for the good rather than the bad. You have to be a special kind of person to turn what would be a nightmare for most people into a positive experience. And maybe a little bit bonkers, in a nice way.

When I went to Adelaide for the Australian F1 GP it took 36 hours from Perth to the Barossa Valley fortunately on a dry coach. It was a further 6 hours to Adelaide. On the way back we did not stop apart from meal breaks.
You made the right decision to have that overnight hotel stay. Your trip from Glasgow onwards, just confirmed my thinking that long overnight bus journeys are to be avoided. The best bit was the ferry!

Hi, Scott. I've got to comment, this journey must have been a complete nightmare but, somehow, you have made it look interesting and somewhat fun! You're a madman but we all love you for it. This journey reminds me of when I drove from Glasgow through to Austria. It was 24 hours of non-stop driving!
I worked in Gibraltar for a while and used to catch the flight from Gatwick every few weeks. The weather around Gibraltar can be interesting. I know at times the flight is diverted to Malaga and I was told it that happens it's up to you to find a way to complete your journey. I've also heard some horror stories about planes trying to land in Gibraltar due to the climatic conditions (The Rock seems to create these).

Last leg sounded interesting ! I stayed in la linea as gibraltar hotels were crazy prices . Thanks as always Scott for taking us "exploring" and "trying" things "just for us" I learn a lot of don'ts and do's from you - IF I get back to Europe again.
We did this journey from Manchester to Gibraltar way back when we visited an aunt in the airforce. The bus had several windows shot out while travelling through Spain, had to wait for a replacement bus. The border between Spain and Gibraltar was closed at this point so we sailed from Spain too Tangiers, the luggage went one way our passports another. Mum yelling follow the passports, too say the parents were stressed. Mum called my aunt who pulled a few strings and we were put on the early morning RAF paper flight. Mum was insisting on flying back saying she didn't care how much it cost and she'd sell the house if needed. Mum flew, dad, my brother and I came back on the bus.
Thank you so much for this...... you deserve a gold medal for this trip. Public transport is a lottery at the best of times but a life experience never to be missed. I live in Bangkok and Ive done the route from Bangkok to Phuket which is only 17 hours on a VIP bus, which has just 22 seats... 11 in line either side , with recliner seats... Asian travellers are very respectful of other passengers however its still a long trip even with 3 stops and a very good meal break ( free)..... you just have to experience these things just to get a reality of life... its great watching please keep going. Plus Oh shit I'd have hung myself with a kid next to me on the bus.. I'd freely leave give up my place on the bus and slept on the street with wide dogs as a preference..... you are a far braver man than me
Wonderful videos - I've watched a couple already and I've done London to Barcelona(1980s), Madrid to London (2019) killer - especially for swollen ankles. Great commentary and you edited everything very well and good pieces of scenery as well as humour ! I am half English/Venezuelan ! 🇬🇧🇻🇪
Hell of a journey but beggars can’t be choosers. Any escape from Jockland, Glasgow in particular, irrespective of the trials and tribulations, is definitely worth having!
I live in Nottingham,it takes 8 minutes by bus to get into the city centre.Due to my hatred of everyone plus the morons/druggies etc etc that get on the bus,i`d rather walk into town.I live in a Supported Assisted Living complex with 26 flats, our new manager has organised a coach trip to Skegness and asked if i was going ?,i told her that The Ukraine,North Korea,Syria or Israel sounded much more promising.
I have to say Scott that it is a good job you do these overnight bus journeys as it keeps reminding me why I decided long ago that I won't ever do one. I've recently completed a journey from Ayrshire to Victoria, BC in Canada utilising surface transport. It took eleven and a half days. I never used a bus and every night was spent horizontal in a bed, six on a ship, three on a train and two in hotels.
Great video, thanks for sharing. We did the National Express bus from Glasgow to Victoria Coach last month. We had a gem of a driver: a lady asked the driver to look after her elderly mother while on the trip. The driver bought the elderly lady coffee and hot cocoa at the rest stops! I've done the early morning arrival at Victoria Coach Station many times over the years. Instead of looking for a cafe that was open, I would have recommended grabbing something at Sainsbury's Local in Victoria Place, which opens at 7: they have sandwiches and baked goods available.
Waiting for the inevitable Glasgow to Shenzhen on national express coach. Scott you are a madman

Another epic journey. i recently did Nottingham to Hannover with Flixbus 26 hours it broke me, in total i was awake 40 hours. I take my hat off to you
Thanks for doing this - so we dont have too !
What you put yourself through Scott for content! That was epic. I didn’t know there were buses that arrive in Knutsford services at that time of day (live near there). Mind you it did not give me any ideas to replicate your journey. I hope you have fully recovered. Thank you for doing that trip.
I can just hear that Spanish busdriver blasting "Master Of Puppets" on repeat throughout the entire ride. 😂
Will listen to it. Anyone but Megashit

Watching that bus go onto the ferry brought back good memories of childhood holidays to France. Thanks man
You use the words ‘coffee’ and ‘cruising altitude’ in your videos so often you ought to make some merchandise. How about a coffee mug with the words ‘cruising altitude’ and you with your hand in the ‘cruising altitude’ position on the front
An enjoyable yet torturous watch. 😊Always good to be reminded that intercontinental coach travel is an abysmal idea. Thanks!
It was a really nice trip with great scenery but the bus rides however weren't it's about the same here in the US take care.👋🇬🇧
Killer journey. 5.5 hrs london to leaving Dover. Wow.
Getting to Leon at 7sm to find its a no go until 8am....what a sack ache!
Another great video....particularly liked the bsck amd forth seat tennis with the chap in front.
Oh the pain and suffering you endure for the benefit of your viewers/subscribers! I hope you realise that we appreciate it
I will second that Scott…👍
You have a heart of a lion doing all these challenges. Enjoying the videos as always.
It would have been interesting to learn how much each bus was and how long it took from start to finish and what the alternative with Easy Jet or Ryanair would have been in time and money !
Ever heard of a thing called the Internet...??
@@2msvalkyrie529 and you mup. pet expect me to spend hours researching that when the guy has it all paid for. You seem to have a lot of time if your commenting on every post .
I fully agree. Without that context what is the point of showing this journey? Presumably it's cheap, but how cheap? Worth the pain or not even close?
Currently on holiday in majorca lounging on my sunbed, what a fantastic watch this was, I'm going to get another cold beer and watch some more.. Absolutely fantastic, please keep them coming.. 👍👍👍👍
Last leg sounded interesting ! I stayed in la linea as gibraltar hotels were crazy prices . Apartment had an entry system via your phone and I forgot that at 11pm 2% on phone battery I was nearly stranded in la linea and the area looked sketchy. Loved walking across the runway into gibraltar it does feel weird.
Yeah, it's an amazing place. Totally surreal.
I love long bus trips.....I once did a one from Nantes to Paris and continued from Paris to Milan on the same day......one of my favourite trips of all time.
Youve never been to Newcastle bus station, it makes a crap hole look very pleasant
The sacrifices you do for us. 💙
That's really hardcore travel.
Thanks as always Scott for taking us "exploring" and "trying" things "just for us" I learn a lot of don'ts and do's from you - IF I get back to Europe again.
How much did the whole bus trip cost?
You deserve a medal for this one Scott
Well done Scot 😂 ❤❤
Christmas was the war still going on
@AlistairAnderson-q1w at the time of the trip the basque separatists were active in wanting an independent state.
Scott, I am glad you stayed a night in Madrid, and slept in a real bed. That was wise. I always enjoy your videos. 🛣
I'd freely leave give up my place on the bus and slept on the street with wide dogs as a preference..... you are a far braver man than me
There is hell, and there is long distance bus travel.
Give me an eternity in flames any day!
No u have no idea what u r saying - hell is the worst of all and u would feel instant regret upon seeing it
@@tucoramirez3333still better than long distance bus travel

I always enjoy your videos. You have a delightful sense of humor, and it is fun to watch you navigate your way around. Cheers!
Scott seriously?? your sanity undertaking such an arduous journey okay as a teenager but certainly not in later life 🙈🙈
I endured a coach trip from Manchester to Lloret de mar in the 80's, I was in my 20's and it was still painful! Couldn't imagine doing that again!
Paris-Bercy is such a dirty, chaotic and sketchy busstop. It's a shame the city doesn't take care of it.
yeh i whouldent dream of going to paris on a holiday it looks quite scruffy and unsafe
Wonderful videos - I've watched a couple already and I've done London to Barcelona(1980s), Madrid to London (2019) killer - especially for swollen ankles. Great commentary and you edited everything very well and good pieces of scenery as well as humour ! I am half English/Venezuelan ! 🇬🇧🇻🇪
what did this cost???
I take the flix bus three times a year, LA to vegas. I love it. You sit back, watch tv, go to the bathroom, then arrive.
Should have got a coloring book ?
Wow, epic journey. Nothing but admiration.
Hell of a journey but beggars can’t be choosers. Any escape from Jockland, Glasgow in particular, irrespective of the trials and tribulations, is definitely worth having!
My longest bus journey was in 1974 - London to Vigo and that was pretty bad so you have my full respect Sir!
Why not skegvagas is the best

I have to say Scott that it is a good job you do these overnight bus journeys as it keeps reminding me why I decided long ago that I won't ever do one. I've recently completed a journey from Ayrshire to Victoria, BC in Canada utilising surface transport. It took eleven and a half days. I never used a bus and every night was spent horizontal in a bed, six on a ship, three on a train and two in hotels.
And the cost???????
Great video, thanks for sharing. We did the National Express bus from Glasgow to Victoria Coach last month. We had a gem of a driver: a lady asked the driver to look after her elderly mother while on the trip. The driver bought the elderly lady coffee and hot cocoa at the rest stops!
I've done the early morning arrival at Victoria Coach Station many times over the years. Instead of looking for a cafe that was open, I would have recommended grabbing something at Sainsbury's Local in Victoria Place, which opens at 7: they have sandwiches and baked goods available.
Sheer purgatory
Hats off to you for that journey Scott - what a nightmare.
