I’ve said the same thing about Jimmy playing guitar, he plays it like he’s making love, sometimes fast & furious & others slow & easy. They each are the greatest, but Jimmy playing the guitar, is absolutely mind blowing.
I’m sorry you’re ill, and hope you recover fully very soon. I am home ill with COVID, and can’t do much but sit up..... and take my only medicine: Music. I subscribed to your channel today, been watching for hours, and feel much better after having done. LOVE the Led Zeppelin music, and have seen them live many, many times. This takes me back there, in the here and now. Thank you.
Zeppelin consists of 4 people; Robert Plant (vocals/harmonica), Jimmy Page (band creator, all guitars, some banjo, and produced all their albums), John Paul Jones (bass, mandolin, all keys), and John Bonham (drummer extraordinaire). There is unfortunately precious little Zeppelin concert footage, but during some songs, Jimmy becomes so entranced he plays with his eyes closed. Jimmy himself has called his guitars both "wife" and "mistress" and has likened them to a "sexy woman". Fans have a saying that Jimmy makes love to the guitar in studio but f*cks it onstage. If you want to see a more elegant guitar instrumental, watch Jimmy playing White Summer from Royal Albert Hall (it's about 12 minutes long). If you want sexy, raunchy guitar playing, watch Dazed and Confused from Madison Square Garden (all the MSG concert footage is from their concert movie called The Song Remains the Same), but I warn you - the video is 28 minutes long but...HOOOEEE! I challenge you to be unchanged/unmoved when completed!
Hi Harri, I was fortunate enough to see Led Zeppelin live when I was 16 back in 1970 and being a 16 year old female watching Robert Plant is etched into my memory LOL. I also saw Robert Plant a number of years ago when he was older and doing a solo concert. Not as wild as when he was younger but still an excellent show. I know you are still going down the Led Zeppelin rabbit hole and there is still a long way to go but another band to check out is Jethro Tull. Locomotive Breath to start with and if you can do a live performance even better. Sending you more healing light. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦 ✌
Helene here: Oh Man...I’m so sorry you have been so sick! I sincerely hope that you feel like yourself soon! Covid? You should watch them do this song from their 2007 Celebration Day......they NAILED it....still had it. Jimmy has said that when he is playing, he does not think...he is just “in the zone” and let’s himself go and feels it. Same with Robert Plant. Fun fact: I agree with you that Jimmy played that guitar like a woman.......one of his ladies has famously been quoted as saying Jimmy was the best lover she ever had.
The Greatest Band ever! And thats a kick ass live album. Be careful though Led Zeppelin don't like people doing there music videos. Could you please do The Ocean from the same live concert thanks.
Definitely should check out, Kashmir live Celebration Day With Jason Bonham the son of the late John Bonham playing drums with Jimmy, Robert and JPJ Kashmir one of those songs with the weight that stays genuine when performed by the guys later in life.
Feel better, Harri... Zep should help that. You might also want to check out Pink Floyd "Coming Back to Life" (LIVE version)... it also will bring you back to life/ normal! Good luck, man- from Canada.
Yaaaasssss! (Hope you feel better soon...gotta pace it and take care of yourself first). P.S. whenever you feel better and have time, if you are interested in guitars, there is a great mini-documentary called "It might get loud" that has Jack Black, The Edge, and Jimmy Page in it all talking about their different experiences and how they developed their styles and love of guitar.
To add to your quote about his riffs and making love to a woman. Its been said, and pardon my language, but in the studio Jimmy made love to his guitar, but live he fuck's the shit out of it! "Sorry for the language brother but it's the truth"
Love this band!!! I’m so enjoying reliving my musical youth through your eyes. These bands are the soundtrack of my life...🖖🏻🇨🇦💥🥰
