J-Hope originally had a second verse he was planning to put in after Cole’s but Cole gave him soooo many bars & that’s literally the person who inspired J-Hope’s artistic identity when he was young and an amateur rapper/musician so he respected Cole tooooo much to shorten his verse at all. He kept it in full and just took out his second verse to fully spotlight J Cole and show his appreciation
I saw you reacting to “Neva Play” and I think you would really enjoy RM’s “Joke” and “Do You.” Also, check out “Arson” by Jhope and “Daechwita” by Agust D (Agust D is the alias for Suga who is the third rapper of BTS). Enjoy! 💜
@@aprildamianchill op wasn’t ranking them they have been introduced to RM and now J-hope op way literally pointing out Suga is the third and last rapper of the group.
JHope is one of the 3 rappers in BTS. But before BTS he grew up as a street dancer and that was his introduction to hip hop. Within BTS JHope is known as one of the best dancers and also the Dance Leader, helping to create, teach, and fine tune the team’s choreo. For years he has also done live streams called “Hope on the Street” of him doing freestyle sessions of his dance and showing off more of his street roots. He has also always been a huge fan of J Cole. Paying homage to him in songs, his stage name is very similar, even his first mixtape he named Hope World. BTS also famous covered a J Cole song writing their own Korean lyrics way back in 2013. JHope got to meet Jcole in passing at Lollapalooza and yell him what a huge fan he was. And that was how they connected for this collaboration. BTS members are also going through mandatory military service in Korea right now. So this dream collaboration for JHope was also the last farewell song to the fans before he joined
Dont forget the Simba music video shout out , and the doble entry of him dancing “underground” while jcole rapping “on the top” and they video passing of jhope going to “the top” to meet jcole there , while him giving jhope the welcome.
@@mev9752 jihope are both the best in different ways/styles. Depends on what you prefer really. I have so much respect for them both they're rly amazing
Last comment but I’ll never get over Jcole calling himself hyung which is a Korean honorific for older brother and even send him a message before his enlistment
That was so... ah it made my heart feel good, such a nice gesture to research the culture like that. I think Cole was touched ever since j-hope first approached him at Lollapalooza being a total fanboy and knowing all his mixtapes, even giving him a handwritten fan letter, it seems like they formed a real connection not just collaborating for business.
Jhope is a rapper and dance leader in bts not to mention he's bts's sunshine he always has a positive attitude and energy he just makes everyone laugh and is such an incredible man to be around.
I’m from NY too (born and raised). BTS is the real deal. They do many genres of music and combine them in one song. It is eye opening and really makes you think about your own biases why you didn’t give the group a chance earlier. As others have said, there are 3 rappers and each has very distinct styles which blend F’ing amazingly.
Mad respect for J-Cole hyung for collaborating with our sunshine, J-hope. BTS members really love a lot of different types of music (rap, old school hip-hop, rock, R&B and even jazz), which influences their own music. Our fandom is so diverse as well but we are all united with our love for BTS due to how their music speaks to us.
This was his goodbye song. He gifted this song to us a bit before he went to the military. And now in like a month, his enlistment is over!! I miss him so much. Thank you for reacting
Yessss I love your reactions for BTS!! Keep it up. Tear Live Performance or Cypher Medley Live Performance next so you can see the boys as a crew. Absolute fire LIVE. Best live rap performers in the game. ❤❤
Bts started out as a Hip-Hop group but evolved and they debuted in 2013 they have 7 members Rm, Suga, Jhope, Jin, Jungkook, V and Jimin theu started super young like teens to early 20s. This is the short Version lol.
Jhope has been listening to jcole since he was a kid jcole is jhopes muse they even met at lalapalooza in 2022 and my gosh he felt like a little kid for sure.
I wish y’all could see the clip of J-hope fanboying over J. Cole after he met him during Lollapalooza. He headlined it in 2022 and it was full of Army. He’s an exceptional dancer, lyricist, rapper, and producer. I believe his name was inspired by J. Cole too along with his first mixtape ‘Hope World’ (which is a banger btw) and he even said that he came up with the whistle in the background for this song! And if you guys don’t mind watching longer videos, I would love for y’all to see the behind the scenes of this MV on BTS’s Bangtantv channel! You can really get a look at how fast their chemistry was on set and how much this truly meant to our J-hope. Enjoyed the reaction a lot! 💜
Jhope and the bts in-house producer pdogg got the idea for the beat after j-hope randomly whistled that tune. Cole is basically jhope's muse and idol. J-hope also has entire Old school hiphop sound album called Jack in the box. Check it out. Also the 3 rappers in bts are j-hope, RM and Suga/Agust D.
y'all should definetly react to BTS's remake of Jcoles Born sinner they did in 2013 and you will hear their rap skills!! - Search for BTS - Born Singer Lyrics (there isn't a music video, but a lyric video or live performance works just as fine!). Loved your reaction btw
Yes! I love this track and how they performed it throughout the years. Probably a long shot but I'm kind of hoping to get an updated version someday when they're back together.
You should hear their first album. Its more to Hip Hop! 💜💜 Please react to some of their songs : 1) BTS Hip Hop Lover - Live 2) Mic Drop - BTS 3) Ugh - BTS 4) BTS Cypher 1,2,3,4 5) Ddaeng - BTS 6) Hold Me Tight - BTS 7)Dead Leaves - BTS 8) RM BTS - Wale - Change 9) Agust D aka Suga BTS - Daechwita 10) Jungkook BTS featuring Usher - Standing Next To Me 11) Jimin BTS - Who 12) V BTS - Singularity 13) Jin BTS - The Astronaut Thank youu! Borahae💜
Little fun fact! J-hope got to meet J-Cole in 2022 when he headlined at chicago's lollapalooza, meeting that started this incredible collab and actually happened because J-hope wanted to give us fans a proper 'see you later' before leaving to serve his mandatory military service. Also this was a great opportunity for J-hope to be finally able and pay his respects to his muse J-cole, giving him free creativity to go off as he did and basically become the highlight on his own song, detail that made us armys pretty damn emotional lmao since we know how much of a dream come true this entire crossover meant to him. J-hope's love and admiration for J-Cole and hip hop go wayyyy back, him and the rest of bts' rap-line (rm and suga) hold lots of respect for hip hop and it's culture, hence the quality of their craft in both bts' music and their solo stuff. Tbh i could write a whole essay about how amazing and how much of a REAL artists they all are but I'd like their music to speak for them. My recommendation to you would be to listen "Hip hop phile" which is a song that embraces hip hop in the best way possible. There they talk about their lifelong passion for music, giving shout outs to the rappers who motivated their interest for hip hop and overall just showcasing how much they respect the genre and culture that ultimately gave them a backbone in their career.
BTS finds you, when you are meant to. The generosity of J Cole (Born Singer on Spotify finally) Snoop Dog, Steve Aioki and Cold Play. 💜 JHope wrote this beat too. ALL PRODUCER LIKE.
Listen to 'Born Singer' by BTS. When BTS members were young, they played heavily to the people who inspired them, like many rappers they sample music from other artists in mixtapes and group projects. One of these songs came by way of their own rendition of 'Born Sinner'. Through the years, as their careers grew, they came back to the song and updated lyrics. A couple years ago they got permission from J-Cole to release the song on their anthology album. They performed it live on an online video for the promotion of their Proof album. J-Hope credits J-Cole as his Muse, and even named his first mixtape Hope World, after Cole's Cole World. BTS started as a hip-hop centric pop group. RM and Suga are the 2 members who grew up with the influence of hip-hop, and performed in South Korea's underground before signing to their label. J-Hope was a street dancer and learned to rap while interacting with the rappers around him while he was training with the label, including RM and Suga. The other 4 members of BTS are singers, and they impress with their voices and style as well.
J HOPE was more than happy to have J COLE shine. When you truly admire a goat in the game ,you never even try to upstage them ,that is extremely disrespectful in South Korean Culture. But J HOPE has been rapping for years with BTS, selling out stadiums all over the world. WHAT J HOPE WANTED TO DO WAS SHOW HIS START ON THE STREETS DANCING TO HIP HOP AND J COLE'S BARS.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉😊
that scene with jcole rapping at the top of a building while jhope was underground dancing was just so beautiful. he was going back to his roots. jhope started with street dancing while dancing to jcole songs
The 3 rappers in BTS; RM, Suga & J-Hope are true rappers, they understand he history of rap. They've been at this since their teens and they are all now in their early 30s so have been rapping nearly half their lives.
This is just the tip of the biggest freaking iceberg ever. You have no idea what BTS can do. I highly recommend you continue to check them out. They have a huge catalog of music of all genres. There is 7 of them and sometimes they put out songs with all 7, sometimes just the rap line, sometimes just the vocalists, sometimes they break up into subunits and sometimes solo pieces. What I will say is all 7 members are insanely talented and each and every one of the could stand on their own and have. No weak link in the group.
BTS is the biggest group in the world not just K-pop. BTS started off as a hip hop group but music has evolved into every genre. Rap is still the heart of most of the songs though. BTS is group of 7 insanely talented men that all play off each other's strengths. There are 3 rappers RM-leader/ main rapper/main writer Suga-lead rapper/ main producer/writer Jhope- rapper/main dancer/sub vocalist/ writer There are 4 vocalist Jin- visual/vocalist/writer Jimin- main dancer/ lead vocalist/writer V- vocalist/visual/ dancer/ writer Jungkook- main vocalist/ lead dancer/ writer They started from a small company and built the company up to billionaire status that's how massive they are. All their music has a deep message and they are all amazing solos too but they are at their best when they are together as BTS
If you’re gonna give the title of writer to all the vocalists, then you need to give it to suga as well who has writen more for BTS then all the vocalists combined…
@@CowsRdumb and obviously I’m pointing it out to you, also suga isn’t a leader. And RM and Jhope are also producers, but all the vocalists have dabbled in producing at some point, and all of the members are dancers and do insanely hard choreography. And this is why most ppl just stick to writing the usual K-pop roles and maybe add that RM is the main writer and Suga the main producer. 👍
Watching this reaction I realised how beautiful the MV is. How hobi is on the streets dancing, which are his roots while JCole is high up on the roof chilling. How hobi had to take a long journey but finally he reaches the same height as JCole and meets up with his idol. On these heights, now hoba has to answer the call from his country. This song is not just for us, its for JCole also. A tribute to Jhope's idol.
J-hope is a hip hop fan. He was headlining at Lollapoolza in Chicago and met J Cole. He always admired him. This song bloomed from there. All BTS sings in many languages. This helps their World Wide success. You may like the J-hope Lollapoolza concert. It was 100,000 people and so fun. Thanks for listening. FYI BTS is 3 rappers (RM, J-hope and Suga, there are 4 vocals - Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook) .
Something about BTS rapline's music reaching hiphop community makes me really happy because the boys deserve better than being stuck in kpop playlists. With that said, if you like oldschool hiphop sound, you're gonna love j-hope. As for this song, not only is it a banger but I also love how much RESPECT was shown from both artists. You have to understand that j.cole is basically j-hope's idol. His stage name is inspired by him, his first mixtape was titled 'Hope World' and now he gave j.cole 32 bars while kept only like 8 for himself, and j.cole returned that respect by giving him an absolute killer verse AND even harmonizing on the hook. And you probably didn't catch this, but the music video metaphorically represents j-hope's journey from when he started as a street dancer, dancing to j.cole's music, all while j.cole is far above him (on the rooftop) and only at the end they meet on the rooftop because j-hope finally reached that level of success. Side note, it's almost impossible to understand you guys when you're both talking over each over. Other than that, I enjoyed the reaction.
So true about being impossible to understand when they were talking at the same time 😅. Was even hoping for subs at some point 😂 But this is what i enjoy in first-time rapline reactors, especially that point (6:41) when they're obviously struck with wonder, caught by the hook, not expecting what they were hearing.
RM did a collab with Wale called Change back in 2017. You guys should check it out. He also collabed with Erykah Badu (Yun) and Anderson Paak (Still life).
BTS made their debut on June 13, 2013 while J Cole released " Born Sinner" 5 days later ! BTS chose this song to release a remake on July 11, 2013 called 'Born Singer" where they describe their expectations and ambition chosing the path of the singer! BTS released it again on 2022 and was added to their anthology album " Proof"! Their version is combination of Rapping between RM, Suga and J Hope and Vocals by Jin, Jimin , V, and JK. ! I would recommend it to you bcz its a great remake! It's more than obvious there is a special connection between BTS and J. Cole because of his great influence on BTS rap line since their teen years and especially on J HOPE who is a die hard fan of J. Cole!! 💜x7
J-Hope was a street dancer before signing with BTS. He was part of a street dance crew in South Korea called NEURON, since he was very young. His dream was to be a dancer and singer. He signed with Big Hit and he became the third member of BTS when they were supposed to become a Hip Hop/rap group in 2010/11 (they debuted as a HIP HOP IDOL group in 2013). RM, SUGA, and J-Hope were the first three members, RM and SUGA came from underground rap, and they taught J-hope rap skills, and he developed his own style. J-Cole is J-Hope's muse, and the reason why J-hope wanted to start writing rap lyics. J-Hope was so good at dancing that Big Hit made him the dance leader. He would learn the dance routines, and he was the one that made sure the members knew the dance routines, and he is now in charge of their stages, and he adds his own choreography and makes changes where needed. J-Hope is an amazing rapper, and this song is a great song, but it was written as a song for fans before he had to enlist for his mandatory military service. AND he got to collaborate with his muse, so he let him take the lead and shine on this one, while J-Hope danced through the song. If you want to see what J-Hope can do, I will link you his title tracks for his last two albums, Which were released in 2022 - Jack In The Box, and 2024 - HOPE ON THE STREET: Volume 1. Both are amazing songs, and the second one is an Original Sound Track (OST), for his documentary series HOPE ON THE STREET - Season 1. J-Hope will be released from Service on October 17, 2024, and we anticipate the second volume OST, and the second season of his docuseries about his dance journey. You might want to check out his Headlining Lollapalooza performance also. I can link that for you, a version with the English subtitles. He had over 100,000 ARMY's show up in Chicago for his performance. I came across your reaction video while listening to ON THE STREET and I'm so glad one of the BTS members is being appreciated by real rap/hiphop fans like you so I decided to write a small, maybe a lil bit detailed introduction to JHOPE and I will recommend some songs at the end: J-Hope, born Jung Ho-seok, is a pivotal member of BTS, renowned for his dynamic rap skills, exceptional dance moves, and vibrant stage presence. Before his ascent to global fame, he was deeply immersed in South Korea's street dance scene, performing with the underground dance team Neuron. This foundation in street dance significantly shaped his artistic journey. J-Hope has consistently cited J-Cole as a major musical inspiration. In BTS's 2014 track "Hip Hop Lover," which you should definitely check to know how HIPHOP influenced BTS especially the RAPLINE, he references J. Cole's works: " Hope hope world, Before I made my own world, Cole world. Ever since he shone on Friday nights..." JHope's musical repertoire spans various genres, including old-school hip-hop, R&B, and pop. His debut solo album, "Jack in the Box" (2022) showcasing a grittier sound that reflects his versatility as an artist. In 2023, he released On The Street which serves as a heartfelt tribute to his roots in street dance and his admiration for Cole. J. Cole delivers an extended verse in the song, symbolizing the mentor-mentee relationship and JHOPE's journey from dancing in the streets to achieving global stardom. You can see JHOPE dancing while Cole was rapping his verse which shows JHOPE's past as a street dancer, moving his body to the rythme of Cole's melodies. SONG RECOMMENDATIONS: WATCH WITH SUBS PLS! "More": ua-cam.com/video/pKdBFeewZYE/v-deo.htmlsi=TTE5AixQr-sBSGDC A lead single from "Jack in the Box," this track blends old-school hip-hop with rock elements. "Arson": ua-cam.com/video/QmpTkkaKYSU/v-deo.htmlsi=HLWisp-4Lfp1clCD Another highlight from "Jack in the Box," "Arson" features intense lyrics and a gritty hip-hop beat, delving into themes of passion and internal conflict. "Daydream": ua-cam.com/video/OK3GJ0WIQ8s/v-deo.htmlsi=CfWcShfIR00XZ5BP From his 2018 mixtape "Hope World," this track offers a more upbeat, pop-infused hip-hop sound, showcasing J-Hope's versatility and lyrical introspection. "Blue Side": ua-cam.com/video/OZD_EU_hMUQ/v-deo.htmlsi=SxsBg4w3KrtylwOw introspective R&B style. I recommend to watch a BTS GUIDE and listen to each album FULLY to see their true talent and as rap fans i know THE BTS RAPLINE won't disappoint: BTS RAPPERS: RM, JHOPE, AGUSTD 9:12: reached here and let me tell you BTS was NEVER a pop group and I'm so glad yall finally realized this😭😭😭
and don’t be scared to ask us questions or be honest about how you feel lmao we don’t bite unless you’re mean abt it. armys love sharing bts with others as long as you’re respectful which y’all have been! i’ll look out for more bts from y’all!
Guys Im really invested in your reaction, but please please please listen to each other while you speak and let each other talkk cause i really wanna know what y'all are trying to deliver to us 😭😭😭
J-hope is the most talented man alive! u can know who is he through his music, his passion, lyrics, and his delivery! Every second you spend listening to this man’s Art is a cure for u, a way for healing, he wakes your rage and feelings, he makes u feel alive #JHOPE is the best dancer alive and guess what? u can know that hes a dancer without him dancing! By just listening to the beat you can know, he plays with the harmonies like a sip of water, walking through the melodies and making a beautiful balance, HOBI is a real musician
What a great reaction! I’m 55 and have been listening to hip hop since the early 80s so I feel y’all’s love for the genre. BTS started out as a hip hop group and their first few albums reflect that. They went to LA in their early days and learned about rap from Warren G and Coolio among other lesser known artists. Check out their songs ‘Born Singer’ and ‘Hip Hop Phile’ by BTS. As far as solos you really can’t go wrong just searching j-hope, SUGA and RM who are the 3 rappers in BTS, all of their music is amazing.
Seeing people react to BTS and their members even now makes me tear up, specifically such positive reactions to their music. Because as someone whos been there, basically since day one as a kid its so refreshing, and it really makes me proud to see how far they’ve come. And considering about a decade or less ago, just how stigmatized k-pop was internationally but in the U.S. especially regarding racism toward Asian people it’s just so eye opening to see how things have changed.
Who's going to tell them that J-Hope gave J. Cole all the time he wanted because J. Cole is his rap role model, and this was a dream come true for J-Hope? He could've had more lines but let J. Cole take them while he danced in the underground, just like how everything started for him. And breaking down everything about BTS, UA-cam doesn't have enough characters in the comments for that.
J-HOPE is the favorite man for everybody, he always shines in BTS choreographies, interests you to repeat his part when he raps, captivates you with his delivery, and excites you whenever you see him do anything, he is so talented by every means!
Having been in the music biz myself, I love seeing actual rappers reacting to BTS! Thanks for checking them out! There's already a lot of good song recommendations in the comments. These guys are the real deal.
React to BTS Born Singer live! I guarantee you will enjoy it!! If you'd like to know more about BTS I recommend A Guide to BTS by Taylor Mari and The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS 2023 update by Rice Squad!
Jhope is so sassy, he has a special way of captivating the listener and making him keep waiting for more! Jhope aka Hoseok has a way of arranging the syllables so Consistently, and making a whole new rhythm that it’s only his, even if someone doesn't know who he is but they can definitely recognize him because of his unique if the technique of rap, a real legend
I knew Cole would give us some bars but damn I'm glad he blessed us with those vocals at the end too. It just lifted the song even more. Like a nice lil garnish on top of a good meal. J-Hope really grew up loving J. Cole's music so it meant a lot for him to get to do this collab and release it before he entered the military. His first mixtape was called Hope World in honor of Cole World. BTS (the full group) also has a song called Born Singer that was inspired by Born Sinner too. Cant wait for J. Hope to be discharged this October. He's been serving his country well but damn we want him back home. He's got a lot of good ass music as a soloist and within BTS albums where he got to do some solo work too. His album Jack In The Box was an incredible concept album inspired by the story of Pandora's Box. Hope On The Street is a soundtrack album he made for his documentary he did where he travelled to a couple of countries learning different dances from street dancers. It's another great one. And of course there's Hope World, his first mixtape and truly a solid project.
You probably know already but J- Hope's favorite artist is J Cole and he said it was a dream for him to be able to work with him. Since this song was going to be his last song before he had to to into the military he said he gave J Cole more of the time in this song because of the love an respect he had for him. The good thing about BTS rap line is all three have their own style and sound very different. I went to Suga's concert and it was amazing, I cried.
One thing I've learned from the MANY MANY reactors I've watched, is that those who truly appreciate hip hop REAL hip hop ORIGINAL hip hop (speaking as an american 80's 90's baby here), they have ALL appreciated BTS. If you love old school hip hop, J Hope might become your favorite BTS rapper/producer (but they are ALL amazing). I t hink you would like Dis-ease. It has all the BTS guys on it, but was co-created by J Hope and is totally his style. I really enjoyed the reaction, thank you :)
BTS has 3 rappers, first is RM, second is Suga and then there is J Hope. They are all fire, especially when they rap together. When BTS started RM and Suga had been underground rappers and JHope was a street dancer. They taught JHope to rap until he established his own style. J Hope was heavily impressed by J Cole so was very happy when he offered to collab with him. There is a very early BTS song 2013 or 2014 called Hip Hop Lover where they discuss the influences on them as they were growing up, J Hope mentioned J Cole. BTS has been performing together and solos for a very long time and are world stars. In 2022 J Hope headlined Lollapaloosa in Chicago and sold out the event, J Cole came to see him and this collab was conceived then. You will enjoy the rapline's music.
J Hope joined BTS as a well known street dancer member of the crew Neuron. RM and Suga worked with him on his rapping. His rap /rock Jack in The Box sold out a Sunday mainstage at Chicago Lollapolooza for his debut solo concert of 100,000. Where he met J Cole who immediately agreed to this collab. J Hope sat back for this one as J Cole is his hero. J Hopes critically aclaimed Lollapolooza concert is well worth a watch. Though the translations were on when you watched it streamed live they are taken off now. So to get those its especially worth watching the fantastic MVs of MORE and ARSON. he is shortly to finish his 18 month stint in the army having achieved elite warrior status and sergeant, assistant drill instructor. All BTS are doing exceptionally well in the army. Jin is out now. Jin and Jimin also have already achieved elite warrior status. V is in the special forces after he and RM finished top of and leaders of their individual training groups. BTS has solo songs with and apart from the group and the rap line is a sub group as is the vocal line. Its not just pop or Hip Hop each of the 7 have different musical styles, even within the rap line and that reflects in BTS discography.
Yes! This MV was basically inspired by JHopes life growing up with hip hop in the late 90s and 2000s. He was a street dancer before BTS and has said JCole is one of his biggest inspirations. They met briefly at Lollapalooza 2022 and kept in touch since then 💜 JHope is currently serving in the Korean military and will be discharged Oct 17 (Korean time zone), we can’t wait to see what he has planned soon!
3:36 oh you have got to give the BTS rapper’s solo albums a listen, trust me, you do not understand HOW MUCH these Korean boys love, study and understand hiphop to its core. RM: - RM ( first mixtape only available on SoundCloud or through reuploads on UA-cam, the channel dial 1637 has great lyric videos) - Right Place, Wrong Person JHope: - Hope World (first mixtape named after Cole World which is available on Spotify) - Jack in the Box - Hope on the Street Vol. 1 Suga: - Agust D - D-2 (first and second mixtapes available on Spotify) - D-Day Please always have the lyrics pulled up bc their lyricism is off the charts, and yes they all write their own verses (you’d think that would be pretty obvious, but sadly in K-pop most “rappers” don’t write their own verses)
j-hope is dance leader and one of the 3 rappers. He is singer , rapper , dancer , song writer, composer & song producer. He has 3 solo albums & two singles chicken noodle soup & on the street . He is Fashion icon & philanthropist . He really love hip hop & makes sure to reference all the OGs .. he appreciates the culture , music, fashion and the vibe . Jcole is his muse and he met him when they headlined lollapalooza 2022 together ( he was the 1st South Korean artist to headline major music festival in USA ) . They met and rest is history 🥰🥰🥰
i got into jhope's music after this feat. i also was randomly in his lollapalooza appearance without knowing who that stage possessed guy was. i gotta admit that he's fire cuz ngl i had prejudice before i got to know him. probably would still not be interested if he hadn't shown me in the face at that night, thank you 😂 one of my top5 most listened song on my spotify wrapped last year pheww
J-Hope really likes the old hip hop sound. He started off as a hip hop dancer really young and became a rapper when joining BTS alongside RM and SUGA (also goes by Agust D). If you like that sound I’d recommend reacting to his album ‘Jack in the Box’ it’s got a lot of old school elements with the scratches and breakbeats throughout. Also it just goes hard.
The BTS rap line is: RM, J-HOPE, SUGA (aka Agust D). If you want to listen to more of their music, I recommend you check their last solo albums RM: Right Place Wrong Person, Indigo JHOPE: Hope on the Street, Jack in The Box AGUST D (Suga's solo alias): D-DAY, D-2 If I have to recomment a few songs from each (my personal favs at the moment): RM: Domodachi, Around the world in a day, Wild Flower, Closer. JHOPE: Arson, What if, More, STOP AGUST D: Huh?, Moonlight, Snooze, Haegeum And If you want to check our very talented vocal line I recommend: Jungkook's Standing next to you or Seven Jimin's Set Me Free pt.2 or Who V's Slow Dancing or Rainy Days Jin's The Austronaut (he will drop his first solo album soon!) Please do search for versions with eng subs, so you get the lyrics. All the love guys!
Others have probably said this...but here's a run down on the roots of BTS - it started with RM who was an underground rapper in Seoul as a teen (~13 yo) (he actually started writing poetry as a kid). The project was built around him - and was suppose to be a hiphop crew. The project eventually changed into the dance performance hiphop "idol" (k-pop) group that we know it to be today. The 3 rappers were the 1st members of the group. Suga/Agust D - is the 2nd rapper - who was also a part of an underground crew in his hometown of Daegu - who has been producing/creating beats and rapping since the age of ~13. J-Hope learned to rap as a trainee with RM and Suga but before that he was a street dancer with a crew (Neuron) in his hometown and even won national competitions. They started releasing tracks pre-debut on YT and Soundcloud (2010-2013) and officially debuted as BTS in 2013 with the songs No More Dream & We Are Bulletproof Pt2. Taylor Mari's video: A Guide to BTS - The Bangtan 7 is a really really really great place to start if you want to learn more about each member. Would love to see you react to it and get to know the group a little better.
Thanks for reacting to J-hope. He is one of the three rappers of BTS, he started as a dancer but later learned to rap, he is also the group's sub-vocalist, dance leader, writer and producer. please react to "Arson" and "More".
BTS came over here and studied the roots of hip hop life under COOLIO AND GOT TO RIDE AROUND FOR A DAY WITH WARREN G. AND HANG OUT WITH TONY JONES. THERE ARE STILL EPISODES OF THEM ,COOLIO AND TONY PLAYING BASKETBALL ON THE SHOW ( AMERICAN HUSTLE LIFE ). THEY ASKED FOR THAT TRIP TO L.A. AS A REWARD FROM THEIR COMPANY ,FOR SOME OF THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS. THEY WANT TO KNOW THE TALK AND FEEL OF REAL HIP HOP FROM THE ROOT CULTURE AND ITS PEOPLE. THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO BE AN ALL HIP HOP GROUP ONLY. J HOPE STARTED AT AGE 10 STREET DANCING, AND LOVED J COLE 'S MUSIC TO DANCE TO. HE'S ALWAYS BEEN A FAN OF COLE. HE WAS THRILLED TO DO THIS COLAB WITH A RAPPER HE ADMIRED SO MUCH. HE HAS SHOUTED OUT COLE ON SEVERAL ACATIONS IN THEIR SONGS. THEY HAVE BEEN GRINDING SINCE 2013 when they debuted.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉😊

The rapline solos will blow minds, then the BTS rapline / early hip hop will open eyes (please excuse the appropriated stereotyped hip hop garb…it was a different time?), and finally, the whole group will steal your hearts.
You guys should see the behind the scenes of this MV, JHope was fanboying so hard! He love JCole and had said many times that JCole is he's muse. Also about the subtitles, if they say auto-generated then don't use them. Auto-generated captions are just what the Ai thinks it hears.
bts is kind of indescribable lol they have a very large range of genres that they've tapped into, so there's almost always something for everyone to enjoy. rm, jhope, and suga (who also goes by agust d) are the rappers of the group. each member of bts has pursued solo work along with their group work. their solo stuff is also filled with lots of blended genres, especially rm's. personally, i think you'd like to listen to some of the rapline's songs first to ease you into it all. on bts albums they have group songs, unit songs, and solo songs, so there'll be songs with just the rappers sometimes or just the singers, or sometimes a rapper and some singers. it really just depends. they all have a hand in writing for their albums, both group and solo, but the rapline does tend to do most of the writing-again, especially rm. he's a lyrical genius. bc they're korean most of their work is in korean, obviously, but they do mix in english to help with rhyming and stuff, and they have a few completely english songs that are definitely more on the bubbly pop sounding side. off the top of my head, i'd recommend listening to the bts cyphers (1-4), ugh, ddaeng, outro: tear, interlude: shadow, intro: persona, outro: ego. those are all rapper tracks and they're all amazing. sorry for the novel length comment 😅 but i really enjoyed watching your reaction and i'm eager to watch more of your bts journey! 🥰
Theres so much content that you're seriously going to love. Jhope and Cole linked up at Lollapalooza in Chicago and from there on wanted to work with each other.
When Cole says "Cole World" he's referencing J-Hope's first mixtape Hope World. Hobi also has a documentary on Amazon Hope On The Street which takes him back to his street dance group Neuron.
RM is a rapper yes. He was the original underground rapper and first member of BTS. Suga / Agust D is the second member and rapper producer for the group. J Hope was originally a dancer, and only learned to rap once he joined as 3rd member of BTS. In this song, J Hope is paying homage and tribute to J Cole, his idol. His senior. His inspiration. His artistic role model. J Hope’s first album is called Hope World after Cole World. His state name as well. Check out the rap line performance LIVE (1) at Wembley from 2019 OUTRO: TEAR. Where they are all in black Dior. (2) in korea from their Wings Tour 2017 where they were all in white: THE CYPHER MEDLEY
on the Street is a song for Hoseok’s fans, Jhope made it as a goodbye because he is going to the military, j.cole and JHOPE are two legends with two different languages, hoseok tried to show his love/respect/ gratefulness/feelings through this song, but he added Cole to add a special rhythm to the track, he is a genius, I hope you react to his dancing is HOTS documentary
i’m a few days late but i love that yall appreciate jhope’s sound!! he’s truly a student of the early hip hop sounds and it definitely shows. i know yall are at the beginning of your bts journey but i recommend BTS- hip hop phile. it’s basically them paying respect to all the hip hop artists that helped them fall in love with music and get them to where they are today! 💜💜💜
I told you guys they are the biggest group in the world. BTS members are all exceptional. Talent is not given is born with. JHOPE HAS DIFFERENT CARDS AND HE WILL WOW YOU WITH EACH ONE.
Yeah, BTS has three rappers, RM, Suga, and J-Hope. J-Hope is also a sick b-boy dancer--since he was ten. He and his producer created the beat and that's J-Hope whistling throughout the song. J Cole has been his idol since Friday Night Lights.
I loved your comment about the root of hip hop when you heard and saw j-hope start rapping because the reality is that in the world of 'k-pop', you will see groups incorporate rapping but it isn't the actual essence of true rap/hip-hop. They have these parts written for them and have been trained to talk fast. And some of them sound good doing it. But BTS and their rappers are true students of hip-hop. They always put their story, their message, their lives into their music. And their rappers actually write their own stuff and produce it too. So that's why you will see in your comments that we don't consider them 'kpop' as this limits their talent and artistry to audiences. Hope you guys can genuinely give their music a chance.
I really think y'all are going to love learning about the other two rappers in BTS, RM and Suga -- they're the ones who were rappers even before they joined BTS, and J-Hope was a hip-hop dancer so he had the feel of it, but the other two basically taught him to rap. And they made all the other members (4 vocalists in addition to the 3 rappers) listen to old school hip-hop day & night when they were training to become a band in the early 2010's. Enjoy the journey my friends. It's a beautiful one.
When I say HOSEOK is the best dancer ever I am not lying because you can't bring anybody who can move like this majestic way, Jung Hoseok is a role model for every dancer in the world, this is not only “dancing“ this is a whole different language, the language of perfection
j-hope is a hip hop lover and he calls J. Cole his muse. His music is pretty diverse from dance tracks, hardcore hip hop, lo-fi hip hop but he always honors the originators from dancers to rappers to artists. He is very talented. You can check a solo song Arson for his crazy rapping which has a very different vibe from this or Nueron which is a newer song that is closer to this one and features 2 veteran Korean rappers. j-hope is out of the military in a few weeks and I am hoping for at least one live performance of On the Street with them together. RM is an amazing rapper as well. Check out Change with Wale. Suga aka Agust D is the third rapper and he’s also great. His videos are like movies. I recommend Daechwita to start. Then there are BTS songs that only feature the 3 rappers (or rapline) that are amazing too.
In BTS there are 3 rappers RM, Agust D (Suga) and JHope. But all 7 members have very different styles and they are all very talented. It's like a super group of 7 amazing artists. To understand a little about who each one is and where they come from, I recommend you react to "A guide to BTS members: bantang 7" by Taylor. They make hip hop, R&B, ballads, pop etc. They can do everything, versatility is one of their characteristics. Don't make the mistake of underestimating them or falling into prejudice, you will lose artists who only happen once in history. I assure you that if you start to know them, even love their pop songs, the energy of these artists catches you.💜
J-Hope originally had a second verse he was planning to put in after Cole’s but Cole gave him soooo many bars & that’s literally the person who inspired J-Hope’s artistic identity when he was young and an amateur rapper/musician so he respected Cole tooooo much to shorten his verse at all. He kept it in full and just took out his second verse to fully spotlight J Cole and show his appreciation
J-Hope has a solo version of the song with his second verse. He respected J-Cole too much to edit anything on the collab.
So much respect right there. Thank you, I was just about to comment this.
I saw you reacting to “Neva Play” and I think you would really enjoy RM’s “Joke” and “Do You.” Also, check out “Arson” by Jhope and “Daechwita” by Agust D (Agust D is the alias for Suga who is the third rapper of BTS). Enjoy! 💜
Third rapper of BTS? More like the second rapper lol😂. RM and Suga came first and Jhope came third.
@@aprildamian I wouldn't read too much into it. They only mention Suga as the 3rd rapper because they already reacted to RM and J-Hope.
@@aprildamianchill op wasn’t ranking them they have been introduced to RM and now J-hope op way literally pointing out Suga is the third and last rapper of the group.
@@aprildamian lo dijo por que acaba de reaccionar a RM y a JHOPE y el tercero en reaccionar es SUGA

I think the holy trinity of dancing in k pop are J-Hope, Taemin and Jimin
@@SolidoNaso. technically jhope is better than both.
@@mev9752 jihope are both the best in different ways/styles. Depends on what you prefer really. I have so much respect for them both they're rly amazing
@@g100-w6j key word to read in the comment: technically.
Last comment but I’ll never get over Jcole calling himself hyung which is a Korean honorific for older brother and even send him a message before his enlistment
Bro same :(
That was so... ah it made my heart feel good, such a nice gesture to research the culture like that. I think Cole was touched ever since j-hope first approached him at Lollapalooza being a total fanboy and knowing all his mixtapes, even giving him a handwritten fan letter, it seems like they formed a real connection not just collaborating for business.
Really I have miss that I'm going ro search it up. Glad he loves our Hobi ❤
J-Hope’s dream come true 😍💜 I’m so happy for him
Jhope is a rapper and dance leader in bts not to mention he's bts's sunshine he always has a positive attitude and energy he just makes everyone laugh and is such an incredible man to be around.
This is the same street in JCole’s first song! It was a huge shout out to JCole’s influence on JHope
Most people don’t catch j.cole harmonizing with jhope in the end and im so glad yall did!!!
Beef aside, I appreciate J. Cole taking this feature seriously and really putting out a great verse.

Yes, please react to BTS' Born Singer remake. J-Cole gave his blessing for BTS to officially record this remake.
Yes! I love this track and how they performed it throughout the years. Probably a long shot but I'm kind of hoping to get an updated version someday when they're back together.
The live performance in the desert is necessary
Def the live version with Anderson Pak…we should probably provide a link for the guys 😅
You guys will LOVE J-hope's album Jack in the Box!! It's got so many 90s hip-hop influences 💜
You should hear their first album. Its more to Hip Hop! 💜💜
Please react to some of their songs :
1) BTS Hip Hop Lover - Live
2) Mic Drop - BTS
3) Ugh - BTS
4) BTS Cypher 1,2,3,4
5) Ddaeng - BTS
6) Hold Me Tight - BTS
7)Dead Leaves - BTS
8) RM BTS - Wale - Change
9) Agust D aka Suga BTS - Daechwita
10) Jungkook BTS featuring Usher - Standing Next To Me
11) Jimin BTS - Who
12) V BTS - Singularity
13) Jin BTS - The Astronaut
Thank youu! Borahae💜
Standing Next To You turned into Standing Next To Me
Little fun fact!
Jhope Lock/Unlock. I fucking have had this on repeat.
This song was a goodbye so g before he went to the military, and to have jcole on it ( jhope calls him his muse) makes it all more special.
BTS is the biggest group in the world not just K-pop. BTS started off as a hip hop group but music has evolved into every genre. Rap is still the heart of most of the songs though.
BTS is group of 7 insanely talented men that all play off each other's strengths.
There are 3 rappers
RM-leader/ main rapper/main writer
Suga-lead rapper/ main producer/writer
Jhope- rapper/main dancer/sub vocalist/ writer
There are 4 vocalist
Jin- visual/vocalist/writer
Jimin- main dancer/ lead vocalist/writer
V- vocalist/visual/ dancer/ writer
Jungkook- main vocalist/ lead dancer/ writer
They started from a small company and built the company up to billionaire status that's how massive they are.
All their music has a deep message and they are all amazing solos too but they are at their best when they are together as BTS
If you’re gonna give the title of writer to all the vocalists, then you need to give it to suga as well who has writen more for BTS then all the vocalists combined…
@@secretyidentity2833 obviously I forgot to put that for suga. Relax
@@secretyidentity2833 no duuuuh. I wrote this at 5 am. Get off my nuts
Was even hoping for subs at some point 😂
But this is what i enjoy in first-time rapline reactors, especially that point (6:41) when they're obviously struck with wonder, caught by the hook, not expecting what they were hearing.
Cole!! 💜x7
Jhope is our SUN !!!
JHope really respect Cole, that's why he gave the stage to cole on his song just to show ARMY how he really look up on him
Yeahh more J-hope he is so cool i request his songs "Airplane pt.2", "Arson" and "Piece of peace"
I came across your reaction video while listening to ON THE STREET and I'm so glad one of the BTS members is being appreciated by real rap/hiphop fans like you so I decided to write a small, maybe a lil bit detailed introduction to JHOPE and I will recommend some songs at the end:
J-Hope, born Jung Ho-seok, is a pivotal member of BTS, renowned for his dynamic rap skills, exceptional dance moves, and vibrant stage presence.
Ever since he shone on Friday nights..."
JHope's musical repertoire spans various genres, including old-school hip-hop, R&B, and pop.

I recommend to watch a BTS GUIDE and listen to each album FULLY to see their true talent and as rap fans i know THE BTS RAPLINE won't disappoint:
BTS RAPPERS: RM, JHOPE, AGUSTD
9:12: reached here and let me tell you BTS was NEVER a pop group and I'm so glad yall finally realized this😭😭😭
Jhope headline in lollapalooza!! Y’all have to watch that ! Out of this world performance in Chicago!🔥🔥🔥🔥🗣️🫵🏽
and don’t be scared to ask us questions or be honest about how you feel lmao we don’t bite unless you’re mean abt it. armys love sharing bts with others as long as you’re respectful which y’all have been! i’ll look out for more bts from y’all!
Guys Im really invested in your reaction, but please please please listen to each other while you speak and let each other talkk cause i really wanna know what y'all are trying to deliver to us 😭😭😭
It’s ok to be real, too. Maybe we’ll just need to get you subtitled 😅
Him headed into the underground/subway is going back to his roots as an underground dancer.
This song was a god-tier collab honestly
There's already a lot of good song
recommendations in the comments.
This reaction makes me so happy!!!! I really love watching true music lovers discover BTS. Can’t wait for more!!
Imagine when they hear the hard rap songs😂appreciate you seeing bts. This group is full package of talent and hard work❤
I knew Cole would give us some bars but damn I'm glad he blessed us with those vocals at the end too.
The best parts of hip hop travelled around the world, and BTS is now carrying the torch for the best parts of hip hop
hink you would like Dis-ease.
Welcome 🤗 and hello from Arkansas!! Thank yall for reacting to our Boys!!
Love you guys can't wait for you guys to go down the bts rabbit hole.
3:36 oh you have got to give the BTS rapper’s solo albums a listen, trust me, you do not understand HOW MUCH these Korean boys love, study and understand hiphop to its core.
RM:
- RM ( first mixtape only available on SoundCloud or through reuploads on UA-cam, the channel dial 1637 has great lyric videos)
- Right Place, Wrong Person
JHope:
- Hope World (first mixtape named after Cole World which is available on Spotify)
- Jack in the Box
- Hope on the Street Vol. 1
Suga:
- Agust D
- D-2 (first and second mixtapes available on Spotify)
- D-Day
Please always have the lyrics pulled up bc their lyricism is off the charts, and yes they all write their own verses (you’d think that would be pretty obvious, but sadly in K-pop most “rappers” don’t write their own verses)
j-hope is dance leader and one of the 3 rappers.
If you want to listen to more of their music, I recommend you check their last solo albums
RM: Right Place Wrong Person, Indigo
JHOPE: Hope on the Street, Jack in The Box
AGUST D (Suga's solo alias): D-DAY, D-2
If I have to recomment a few songs from each (my personal favs at the moment):
RM: Domodachi, Around the world in a day, Wild Flower, Closer.
JHOPE: Arson, What if, More, STOP
AGUST D: Huh?, Moonlight, Snooze, Haegeum
And If you want to check our very talented vocal line I recommend:
Jungkook's Standing next to you or Seven
Jimin's Set Me Free pt.2 or Who
V's Slow Dancing or Rainy Days
Jin's The Austronaut (he will drop his first solo album soon!)
Please do search for versions with eng subs, so you get the lyrics.

@@Joonsbabymama you def will!
Tysm for reacting to it! Loved it!
Check out the rap line performance LIVE
(1) at Wembley from 2019 OUTRO: TEAR. Where they are all in black Dior.
(2) in korea from their Wings Tour 2017 where they were all in white: THE CYPHER MEDLEY
Omg I enjoyed this reaction so much. I love how all these questions keep coming up. ARMY has the answer, don’t worry. Thanks so much!
Highly recomment J-hope's "Hope World," "Chicken Noodle Soup," "Day dream," and other songs in his mixtapes
Jhope has been in Hip-Hop competitions and he was in a dance crew names neuron which he made a song about his dancing background.
on the Street is a song for Hoseok’s fans, Jhope made it as a goodbye because he is going to the military, j.cole and JHOPE are two legends with two different languages, hoseok tried to show his love/respect/ gratefulness/feelings through this song, but he added Cole to add a special rhythm to the track, he is a genius, I hope you react to his dancing is HOTS documentary
Im satttt. Cant wait for future reactions. Bts has a lot of easter eggs man, congratulations on finding them 💜
3 rappers and 4 singers - grounded in hip hop. You don't know what you are missing.
i’m a few days late but i love that yall appreciate jhope’s sound!! he’s truly a student of the early hip hop sounds and it definitely shows.
i know yall are at the beginning of your bts journey but i recommend BTS- hip hop phile. it’s basically them paying respect to all the hip hop artists that helped them fall in love with music and get them to where they are today! 💜💜💜
Yall reaction was so funny and I can’t wait to see more from yall!!!
J Hope ama a J Cole, es su ídolo por eso le pidió esta colaboración!!! Saludos desde Army Argentina!!!!💜
You should totally watch when jhope met jcole. So heartwarming
JHOOOOOOOPE🔥💜
When I say HOSEOK is the best dancer ever I am not lying because you can't bring anybody who can move like this majestic way, Jung Hoseok is a role model for every dancer in the world, this is not only “dancing“ this is a whole different language, the language of perfection
j-hope is a hip hop lover and he calls J. Cole his muse. His music is pretty diverse from dance tracks, hardcore hip hop,
lo-fi hip hop but he always honors the originators from dancers to rappers to artists.
