Actually there is one fundamental difference between the Hindus and Sikhs in terms of belief in God. Depending on the sect of Hinduism, you can be a Polytheist, Monotheist, God-Devil dualism or an Atheist. In Sikhism however, there is one single God very similar in characteristics to Islam.
However Indian religions like Sikhism, Hinduism, Jain and Buddhism do not believe in the concepts of "I am right and you are wrong", rather they always emphasize on "Finding solace in your own method" and "whatever belief works best for you".
Vedas say God is one.

@mighty monster This is a misconception. Islam hasn't influenced Sikhism. Besides in many Vedic verses you will find the concept of One Supreme God.
@@harsidhshah5073 actually sikhism does have some elements like the sufi practice of langar. The word langar itself is from persian, our first guru probably saw on his trip to mecca.

You misunderstood.. Sikhs Gurus and Sikhs fought against cruelty, inequality, inhumanity, brutality. Sikh Gurus and Gurbaani teaches us to treat all equally and serve humanity.
Cruelty doesn't belong to any religion. Though the person can claim he/she is a Muslim, Hindu, Jews, Christian, Buddhist or a Sikh.
If you want to talk about Mughals then Aurangzeb killed his brothers, his father and also put his own daughter into prison. He blindly followed an orthodox path of cruelty.
The story about Guru being slaughtered by muslims doesnt make sense , bcoz the same Guru , his son supposely built a mosque .

When I hear about criticism for Hinduism and why people were able to conquer India i mostly hear because of caste system the lower castes were able to escape this hierarchy and go to something else but the main reason is exactly at what you pointed out. From the time of Ashoka, hindus are being preached non- violence/ahimsa in Jainism, in buddhism and everything that came from the sub-continent. Secondly every Indian thinks like a Baniya(a businessman) and henceforth if you appease someone with money and trade and all of that the would jump the wagon in the blink of an eye. We are too divided to protect our own motherland.
