Small correction he did not sell the reality show, Christine did. She was approached likely because of her likability when she was being part of the AUB pr group of sorts
They approached Christine, she turned them down then told Kody. Kody had a meeting by himself and the producer and that’s how the show was created.
They wanted a documentary and approached Christine due to her work in the community; Greedy Kodester wanted a tv series. The network allows this clown a little control, and the rest is history about how destructive polygamy can be to families.
Especially when Robyn Brown stalked the new stars because of word on the street in the polygamy community. The only silver lining is the OG 3’s kids are freed from the cult mindset due to being mainstream public schooled in NV and travel. I wish one of them would speak to it. I bet Christine’s aunt could give us the correct information on all fronts.
PS Nikki, you just gained a follower because you are realistic compared to most creators.
So ... The family money is like a tip jar at Salsa Brava. Example, Let's say that Kody is a restaurant owner. It's up to him to divvy up the tips to the staff. Cook,(Christine), waitresses,(Jenelle &Meri ), favorite hostess & host,( Kody & Robyn). The ones that bust their butts the most lose their hard made tips.
Oh My - perfect distribution money plan that Kody worked with. Let me guess? Kody gets paid 1st & the most cause you know he be the patriarch stud of his cult. Kody Brown is the steer - impregnating his wives so they can raise his get to heaven/planet requirement number of kids & work jobs to bring in money at the same time. Chop chop have to keep the wives busy, busy so they don't get their heads into how Kody has used, abused & ground into dust 3 women just because he can. Do you think Kody & Robyn have power points/grafts of how to cheat the OG3 out of money.
Janelle is basically homeless after coughing up money for Robyn's McMansion & her vacations & shopping. Please Janelle! consult an attorney & see your options.
Hate to see Kody & Robyn steal all the land & get the mansion that has additional acres. Please get legal/forensic accountant help & make them accountable.
At one point the shows ratings got very low and TLC was going to cancel it. Kody basically begged TLC to keep the show going and they’d take a huge pay cut.
It’s sad that TLC gave the re-up to them. Their story was dead in the water back then. Since that time, a child is dead and no one knows how to budget aside from the OG 3.
I’ve been hugely attacked on Reddit for saying these people had a start with a ton of money and the limelight. Why is everyone so concerned about the other wives when some of us want to stop watching Sister Wives to starve Robbem and Greedy off of television? They have to know it all ends one day. Life holds no guarantees. I’m older and had to retire disabled on considerably less money than if I were working. There are curveballs in life, rebudget, your income has changed, stretch your money. The OG 3 have their MLMs and will survive because they are hustlers. Christine remarried quite well, she’ll never go without.
I’m kind of tired of people saying it will affect Janelle and Christine. Trust me, they have more than most women and have an opportunity to sue re Robyn’s house and the cursed Coyote Piss property - if they find a forensic accountant to destroy the KRappy couple.
I think Janelle put the most money in, which breaks my heart to see that she got the least back out. She was the only one with a steady legit job
Certainly before they got the show. It's still wild to me that Meri was getting the same share of the money. That was Janelle's money. This family set up was awful even before Robyn joined.

Before the shows started, it was Janelle who made the most money. But since the family lived in Las Vegas, Meri has been the top earner, because of Lulu Ro. But Meri, Janelle and Christine have all been working all the time, also alongside the TV show. So it's Meri, Janelle and Christine who made it so that there was such a thing as family money. Wonder how Kody and Robyn are doing now that they can't live on the money that Meri, Janelle and Christine earned.
Robyn didn’t want Meri to go to college cause the more of them that finished college the more insecure those without will be. Also it’s another tool to keep women in those groupings, to limit their options. It seems most or all started college. I think only Janelle finished?

Marketing is to get people to your site. When people are already at your site and don't want your products, marketing can't change that. I remember looking on their site early on, open to buying. At that time, most of the jewelry was about polygamy. Why would I want a necklace basically symbolizing that my husband sleeps with other women, when my husband did not sleep with other women? The polygamy customer base is small so they business wasn't set up to work from the beginning.
I doubt any polygamy wife would be allowed to wear that kind of jewelry. And non-polygamy would never buy that crap. It's as if Robyn had no professional help designing her ugly jewelry! Robyn is not creative. Basically Robyn seems to have no abilities except to play loyal to Kody & steal money from the OG3.
Asking for millions of dollars. Robyn would of spent that money on herself. Then they ask for bankruptcy

This episode also highlights another big lie/contradiction that’s used against Meri later on in the show…when Meri asked “the family” for a loan (which Kody initially agreed to until he spoke to Robyn) for the B&B, the wives all said no because she didn’t have a business plan. Robyn was very vocal about “we’ve all always had to provide business plans if we’re asking for money from the family for a business”. Yet this episode clearly shows Robyn didn’t have a business plan for MSWC, they were rushing to get one done before this pitch. Yet, the family had already invested in it to get it started well before this point. I’m glad Meri got it done without them, if they’d had any control in running the B&B business (another condition for their loan…and another contradiction because while the OG3s certainly did a lot of work for MSWC, they didn’t appear to have ANY say in how it was run), I’m pretty sure it would have been run into the ground.
On a positive note, love your content…also just purchased my first Nikki Haverstock book, super excited!
"Run into the ground" is Kody's go to. He ran 3 marriages into the ground, he abandoned 13 of his biokids, he spent money on coyote pass which has gone no where - because Kody runs everything into the ground. Poor money choices will run into the ground any money K&R have left.
The wives didn't say no. When Meri presented it Christine, Janelle and Kody were all excited. Robyn said nothing. The next time we saw them Kody was making excuses and the other women also seemed to have changed their minds. I got the impression that Robyn was not on-board and spoke to Kody and he in turn told Christine and Janelle they're not giving Meri money. Asking for a business plan made no sense because all Meri was asking for was a loan and she'd pay them back the money. Robyn did not want to give Meri any money and that much was obvious

Sure Kody was into her. Filled with lust. But, why is Robyn running the Brown adults & deciding which of Kody's 13 kids rate her approval? Robyn is some kind of anti-hero b@@@h. She is ruling idiot Kody like he is her child. Robyn is making the Browns move from Lehi to Las Vegas to Flagstaff. Flagstaff is where it all fell apart. Robyn has her mansion, the 3 wives are out, 13 kids are shunned.

IMO since they already had the foot traffic then instead of pro sister wife merch they should’ve sold a piece specific to each wife. I doubt they’d consider that though since it would easily show who has the most support.

This was just for content. The was not real. Robyn thought they could make money off merchandise and she could get 3-4 other people to do most the world and get full bragging rights as it was her idea. Polygamists are poor. Fans don’t support polygamy that much to personally give them that much money. A tshirt maybe? You know things that go in closets. I feel like Mary is uncomfortable because it’s not a situation or topic she is comfortable with. And it’s high stakes “public” speaking that needs to be professional. She read from the paper during the commitment ceremony and during the debate she didn’t really have to have anything prepared. Plus it seemed like she didn’t think she would have to participate initially. I know I get nervous giving regular employee benefits presentations and have to have everything written out word for word on the slides. If I had to present on something I wasn’t knowledgeable on… I’d die.
Before Gwendolyn stopped doing her review of the Sister Wives episodes here on UA-cam, she was answering questions from her viewers. Someone asked Gwendolyn about Meri and the accusations that she was violent towards the children, the answer Gwendolyn gave was a flat out no. Gwendolyn said that Meri was the only one of the parents who intervened when the children misbehaved, and according to Gwendolyn it was normal that someone followed the rules and stopped them. Gwendolyn's wife, unfortunately can't remember her name, then added to this with Gwendolyn and said that what Meri had done was much milder than any parent she knew as a child and she wanted to say that Meri was criticized so harshly because that she was alone in this while the other parents ignored things. Then of course Robyn came along and her children were and still are wrapped in cotton wool, so for Robyn these parenting methods of the Brown family were pure barbarism, it applied to all the parents because her children were rejected because they did not know the Brown way. I'm not a parent but I know a lot of parents so I've seen in real life how much stress it is for everyone when the parents don't agree on whether to follow the rules, so it's only natural that the way four parents handled things would be different did not help. We know that in polygamous families like this there is a clear division of labor and it seems that it was Meri's job to act if the rules were not followed and Kody was the one who put her in the role. Both Paedon and Mykelti have spoken badly about Meri scolding them when they were children, but both have also spoken positively about their father slapping them. I don't know how it's done in the United States, but in the years when the Brown children were children, spanking was already banned as a punishment for children here in Iceland. So, in my eyes, spanking is violence, but scolding is part of parenting if children fail to follow the rules. What we know about Paedon and Mykelti is that they broke all the rules to get their mother's attention. That behavior meant that Christine had to send Mykelti away for a while because she couldn't handle the kid, and Paedon has long ago abused his sister Gwendolyn so much that she, as an adult, doesn't dare to be around him. So based on everything I've seen from the family and also based on what Gwendolyn, Mykelti and Paedon have to say about the situation along with what Christine and Kody have said it's obvious that anyone who would have been responsible for raising Mykelti and Paedon on their time would have scolded them for bad behavior.
The business never made sense to me anyway. Jewelry was going to fund an entire family of what...19-22 people? I guess it could have. Hey Nikki, btw, I had a question about writing and pinged you on the TikTok. If you can/want.
This was just embarrassing, for the Browns! And the investor panel looked like a bunch of jokers, I wouldn't do business with any of these people.
