I know this is an old video but I so enjoyed it! Just bought velcro rollers today and needed to watch this video so I would know how to use them. I'm a hot roller girl, have been for 40 years but wanted to give the velcro a try. Thanks for this video and you are always so funny! You can make me laugh even when I've had a crappy day!

Ms. Tammy you are such a hoot!!! Thanks for all the info. I think my hair lasts longer when I use rollers to curl it. Usually all my curl falls out after an hour or so. When I was a teenager I used to Iron my hair on the ironing board, now I want it to softly curl. Who knows why you do what you do. Straight hippie hair, now soft curls. Gosh it's a miracle I even have hair!!

Tammy, thank you for this video! My mom has tried the rollers the same evening after watching this video and her hair looks amazing! We are going to work on mine tomorrow, since it's late now and my hair is long. Can't wait to see my gorgeous locks tomorrow! Thank you again.

@danapride I have to be honest...I don't clean my velcro rollers other than ridding them of hair...when they get out of shape I toss them and buy new ones....I will have to try your technique! Thanks for sharing!!

I love using velcro rollers. I use them on my second day (wash hair every other day). First I put the Refresh mousse in my dry hair, then roll my hair. After that, I shower without covering my head. The steam and mousse help refresh my hair. Then I leave the rollers in as I get dressed and apply makeup. Seems to work well for me. Question: How often do you clean your rollers? Thanks Tammy for all of your great positive energy!

My stylist used Enjoy for some time. Then moved on to something else and I reverted to purology. You've inspired me to go get me som enjoy products! Unfortunately, I can't get a good break on any of them but such is life.

@passionknitgirl i use both....as they both give very different looks...the velcro would be less damaging of course because we are not using the direct heat....but for fragile hair...the less heat the better!! You do have to be careful when pulling the velcro out but if you roll it smooth this should not be a problem as far as breakage

You're so pretty and a lot of people's hair don't take to rollers, especially not velcro ones - but your hair suits them so much! You could get away with just air drying your hair and using rollers - a lot of women have to use a lot of heat. Great video

I can't wait to see the results! My color treated blond hair has really been looking bad. For the past week I've been using Suave Professionals "captivating curls" shampoo & conditioner. Don't laugh girls - my hair has never been softer, and the eczema is going away!! It cost $2 at Target! I've used products high to low and love It's a 10 - and now Suave?!! I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't tried it. I'll have to "Enjoy" vicariously through you & Lisa!

Hey sweetie! I have used Enjoy products for a couple of years now and LOVE them. I have curly hair that I straighten and their product Straighten is the best I've ever tried. They also have a great shine serum. Thanks for doing this tutorial! I know it's just nothing special to you, but it's exactly what I needed to see; I always have trouble getting it tight enough and keeping all my hair on the roller, now I see what I need to change. Thanks again! You look Marvelous darling! ~Susie~

I didn't know that you were a hair stylist! That's how I do my hair too when I use the Velcro rollers. I used to use a light hair spray before blasting with some heat but then I found root lift! I like that so much better. Now I can't live without root lift now matter how I style it!

Thnx 4 doing this - I bought rollers a yr ago or so but they never gave me more than a wave.. I didn't use a lot of product thou - maybe thats' where I failed. I think I wanted a more curly look - like the Victoria's Secret, long hair w/ the curl mid-way to bottom. I am getting that now w/ the Remington Conical Iron! I am not sure now after seeing u do the rollers that I have the patience for all the work anyway! hah

You never cease to make me smile. :) My hair is long and haven't had success with rollers? So I am a curling or flat-iron girl. One strange thing I see happening since its began growing white (yes, not grey...but snow white) underneath my dye job that underneath its growing in curly....so curly that it looks like I just took a perm rod out of my hair! Have you seen this happen to anyone else? Its so strange I have to use my GHD to straighten it before curling the ends. thanks & love ya xo

  • @TammysAgelessBeauty
    @TammysAgelessBeauty  13 років тому

@MemomMon Yes to the question about heating them ( you don't have to , I do this just to give it a nice bend ) hot rollers give you more curl where velcro ( large ones ) give you more volume and waves...it really is just a different type of look....I get the ceramic for two reason...they are sturdier and if I want to give them a blast of heat for a boost the ceramic heats.....Brain Fog ...I am very familiar with this! LOL

Hi, new to your amazing channel. Rxstrmom mentioned your c-serum, so I thought I would check out your channel. Hello fellow 55’er! I use Velcro rollers also, but . . . have you tried using a flatiron to smooth and straighten the sections of hair before putting the rollers in? I use a heat protection spray on each section, brush through, flatiron the section, and then roll. I get great volume and smooth bouncy loose curls. I love your reviews, videos, and advise! You’re an amazing woman, keep sharing your anti-aging finds!

I've been going over all your old hair care videos today. Now that it's getting cooler & we're pulling the scarves back out what do you recommend for taming static electricity? Static guard helps temporarily & extra conditioners just weight my hair down. My velcro rollers especially make my hair static.

(truth is I stored a pack in a good place but couldnt remember where) ha! So...=) I never used them. Except for 3 on my crown & 1 on ea side to help prolong & add volume to the hot roller set I'd do once in a while. It worked but I had never ventured to do the whole head. LOL =D I was too afraid I'd get a beehive or something Ha! I'm so glad you did this! ox Kat

My allergies have been terrible right now too. I went out to the car today and my windshield was yellow..darn pollen. Hot flashes, omg yes I'm suffering with you. Right now I keep the dewy look. Just so I understand correctly, the velcro rollers are not heated. You need the ceramic in the middle to heat them with the blow dryer. Couldn't you do this w/hot rollers also? What is the benefit of the velcro then?I'm a bit lost, goes w/the hot flashes.

I use velcro rollers but I set my hair while it's wet. I get tons of body and curl. I just use a mousse and a root boosting spray. Where's the video with the comb out? I didn't know about the rollers with the ceramic inset. Good idea. I'll have to look for those. I basically do my hair the same way as yours. I'll have to try more products that you use. My hair has thinned and I want more volume. Love all your accents!
