I wasn't expecting that much of a difference after just 15 minutes without heat or wetting her hair first. Wow! I really learned something! :)

Thanks for this video. I got brave, washed my hair, conditioned , towel dried, applyed mousse throuhout hair. Blew it dry for a while to get volume at roots, and then left it air dry. Half an hour later I came back and followed your pattern of applying the different sizes of velcros. It really helped to follow what you were doing. I kept mine in for 3
hours and took em out and teased it into a bit of shape with a couple of clips to secure
my side fringes. Guess I'll do more velcro in morning!

Sara is so talented! I would love to see a video on hair routines for long thick, semifrizzy hair. Also, I've been hearing about a collagen treatment for hair and would love to hear her insight on that.

This is beautiful and a great tutorial. My question is: How do you *keep* the body from falling?! I can achieve a great effect, but within two hours, it's flat again. I use Bedhead, Redken, Big Sexy Hair products, root lift spray, maximum hold hair spray, professional brand shampoo and volumizing conditioners, etc. Teasing and spraying, setting it with heat - it's exhausting just listing it all...and two hours later, it's flat. Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

Hi! Great video!....I just wanted to know how much the hairdryer weighs...I find that heavy ones end up making me take longer and the outcome is not as great, I suspect because of the fatigue of my wrist and arm.

I have hair similar to what you described, just use small sections so that the hair sticks to the rollers. If you need to, use either a bobby pin or one of those big clamp-like clips to hold the roller.

I'm surprised you only heated the roots before adding the rollers. I always use the hair dryer again to make sure every roller is warm, then let them cool while I do my makeup. I have waist length hair though and I'm looking for a bit more bend in the hair itself as well as root lift.

For me personally, rollers don't keep the volume all day, BUT I tend to backcomb and tease a lot, and often only use rollers when i'm aiming for a beehive. A light bit of back combing never hurt anybody. Depends on your hair type though. I have really thick, shoulder length, straight hair so i feels a bit weighed down. I also use a lot of mousse and hairspray, rollers alone don't last all day in my hair. Hope this was some sort of help! XO

I would love some advice for HEAVY FLAT hair. I have a ton of hair but no volume on the top no matter what I try to do. I've teased it, put it in rollers, flat ironed it straight up, hairsprayed the crap out of it, and it's flat again in 10 mins. Some tips for thick heavy flat hair would be much appreciated. Love these videos.
