I follow the Mahayana path but respect all forms of Buddhism. The Buddha taught over 80,000 methods of practice, and all will eventually lead to liberation.

80000 methods ? He was a busy guy. Maybe we should revere, what he actually thought.- maybe what he taught was important.maybe, people made up new religions. And called them - buddhism. Maybe that's insane.

Excuse me but there are 65 million Theravada Buddhists in Thailand alone, so 150 million worldwide seems too low, there even Theraveda Buddhists in America!

Well they could have found a better video narrator out of that number. This is a horrible narrator. This is Important information here to educate people but is presented in English. At least they could have used someone who speaks it well enough to be understood. It’s too hard to understand his dialect AND the material presented at the same time. 😢

The question to ask is: Why are there different sects of Buddhism? It is not a matter of teaching the simple truths to those who cannot understand the “higher teachings.” Is there really a higher teachings?? More of a division and disagreements…
