That dated cabin looks great to me. Don`t get the current obsession with `privacy`.
One of the best aspects of premium cabins in the 80`s and 90`s was the space and the relaxed `club` ambience that went with that.(Especially on the upper deck of a 747!)

Thank you for sharing you flight here. Yes, itcis always nice to have a seat in First Class on those long-haul trips. The meal service looking very nice!!! The caviar and cheese sevice are always nice!!! The veal looked very nice also. 😂 Hahaha, you made me laugh when you were in the bathroom to put on you PJs!!!😊😊 You look nice getting ready for a little sleep nap!!😊😊 I am glad you enjoyed your flight on Lufthansa. That was unfortunate that after arriving early in the morning from your first that you had to go back out through security to check back in the terminal First Class counter ay Lufthansa then be escortsed back through security!! That was a lot of walking. Well, at least in that early arrival you went to the Polaris Lounge to have early morning breakfast and take a nap with shower!😊
Furthermore, it was really nice that the two seats on your left hand side were not taken. Less people in First Class many times gives First Class more meals supply.😊
Finally, yes, the First Class Building for First Class Passengers there is beautiful. That amenity is really worth it!! So, Lufthansa wanted to give an above and beyond touch of class!! And you get driven to the flight gate side!!! You can become spoiled!! These are the added amenities you get on this airline when you outright cash/credit card pay or you use airline membership points!! This is very very elegant!! There are many people who only fly First Class only and they expect the service for what they are paying for.😊
That a’la carte dining was the size of the whole United domestic lounge I was in 2018 in DC

I actually like the the cabin. It's much more old school than the Asian airlines, but I find it extremely elegant and classy!
Maybe it doesn't fit the super-individualistic "I-want-to-be-alone" style of today, but maybe that's good.

Everyone says the Lufthansa cabins are dated, tired and offer no privacy. I don't care about any of that, it looks fantastic. Some of the newer cabins, in an effort to increase privacy, have also restricted space and increased the feeling of claustrophobia.
And i love collecting the ducks!

What settings do you use for iPhone recording?
Hi great review as always! 3 questions: Did you buy separate itineraries for the flights? How did you get to use the Polaris lounge if you were flying domestic before checking-in to your LH first class flight? And lastly, was your connecting flight from FRA on a separate itinerary, because otherwise, don't they transfer you from the plane to the lounge directly when arriving at FRA? Thanks in advance!

1. It was purchased on single itinerary
2. I was actually checked in through all the legs and had a QR code ticket to scan at the Polaris Lounge
3. Connection was also on same itinerary, but I was not arriving at a remote stand, nor was my connection really short so car pickup was not provided. If I was arriving on a flight at a remote stand, car service would be provided to take me to the nearest First Class lounge (but not the First Class Terminal at FRA). Hope this helps!

Honestly if someone is non stop filming like the faces of the crew i would feel uncomfortable . Maybe that is the reason they kept distance ?

Have a quick question, the access to the 1st Class lounge in FRA, was your flight onto LHR a business ticket or 1st Class? Just curious how you got access!

The 2nd leg was business :) You can use FRA first terminal if arriving on first and departing onwards in business :)

@@Jazzyjon30 sorry, the key part is that you have to arrive in first and depart in business on the same day😅 and I dont think they let people sit on it...

I have to admit, I am continuosly deeply underimpressed by Lufthansa. Senator lounge looks like a train station hallway...
Boy do I miss the Upper Deck of 747 when 747s rule the skys. It's so calming and private and you can get some work done. Not too many seats and people. Of course, modern direct-to-aisle seats that provide even more privacy is an added bonus!
Hey there, the filming is sweeping a little too fast so it’s a bit blurry at times - why the rush? Going so fast you don’t get to see what you’re filming properly and you feel a bit motion sick watching. It’s a shame as it’d be a good trip report. Some background music would enhance it too. It’s a good in-depth report but there are so many people doing this now, it’s easy to see where you can improve and make yourself stand out more.

For me Luxe travel always comes down to the value proposition. Problem with most youtube reviews is there is no discussion about that. The arrangement is all very agreeable on this flight, but what did you pay? in points/cash etc? If it was free it's meaningless and if it is list price it is also uninteresting. Enquiring minds want to know.

The German "coldness" in service is a thing im used to. Especially for travelers from the US, i have seen them shocked at what they deem rude or uncaring. Best way i can describe it is you are wasting their time, not the other way around 😂. Not true for everything of course but you will encounter this "attitude" more than not.

Why do you vloggers continue to use white text for your thoughts on your experiences? When most of the background is white or cream! Grrrr. I'll give you some free advice (as I'm not a barrister) I'm certain there's a black speech bar available, to which you can add white text.......Bravo!

Dann flieg halt Etihad, und nimm Emirates und Qatar gleich mit. Leute mit überzogenen Ansprüchen braucht LH nicht. Schon mal bedacht, daß diese Wüstenairlines nichts für Kerosin zahlen müssen.

Actually... u can regularly see cheap tickets from eastern europe to south america/asia for ~3500USD. Thats not a bad price 😊 but you get bored with the same old product over and over again 🥲 as you said, if service is good then its okay 😉

I am a GERMAN & proud of it and from the day I was born Saturday 4am November 1, 1945 in Yonkers, NY I have always been nurtured in my heritage. My parents, and grandparents ALWAYS flew LUFTHANSA, and I other carriers with my family domestically. I am grateful I witnessed this EXCELLENT PRODUCTION and will fly LUFTHANSA next time. BTW, I have LONGEVITY on my side and will MAXIMIZE all opportunities to go WITH LUFTHANSA heretofore.
Lufthansa was always one of my favourite airline growing up and will always have a special place to me 😁
That ABSOLUTELY screams CLASS!!! People fly Emirates 1st and think they are stylish? Sorry, to me, nothing beats a seat and a cabin styling like on this LH 747-8. Understated yet tastefull, lacks all of that gross cheesy bling nonsense seen on many other airlines. Ling live LH and the Queen of the Skies.
