The whole replica album is beautiful. Really highlights how powerful of a vocalist Rory is. For me ‘Drunk’ hits me deeply.
"You have loved and you have lost, so stay drunk if it hurts less" 😢
I never understand how an artist can get through a song like this without tearing up.
especially when it's about your own family...must suck to perform over and over again
that acoustic version hits hard man...Its always remind me when my sister passed away 3yrs ago🥲..tnx for the review man.a fan from.🇵🇭
🖤
I just start crying every time… but I love the music. I usually just listen to extreme music but this is so much heavier… This song breaks my heart every time
I remember being really curious to know about Rory losing his child after hearing some of the lyrics in their older albums, but then I discovered; he didn't. A lot of the stuff these vocalists sing about is fictional on a personal level, but they sell it so well that it becomes super meaningful for others.
Take "Mourning Song" by Holding Absence, I'd have sworn that Lucas lost his mother or something, given how powerful and heart-wrenching the song and performance are. But no. He said he wrote it to try and capture a dramatic look at dealing with grief during a time of great personal struggle, how it reframes your own life.
This song is completely different, however. This is about him losing his father, who did indeed pass away
@@Thatrandomdude1315 Oh, true. I wasn't aware of that, thank you for pointing it out. Cancer, then?
@@takoshihitsamaru4675 so it seems, unfortunately
Literal goosebumps
Old Flame - Thank You For the Patience, Jonny Craig's new band
I think the context of the lyrics in Doomsday (Architects) 'you said you cheated death but heaven was in my head' Dan mentioned in an interview he was having vivid dreams about Tom shortly after he'd passed where he was alive and well. Hence the 'heaven was in my head' part too.
what is the intro song in the background??
😢
