- Forged carbon and carbon skinning has been something that has interested me for a few months now! So I finally got my hands on some chopped carbon fibre and resin to try a few car parts! :D

I'd never heard of forged carbon before you brought it to my attention, I reckon it would be a bit of fun to experiment with it, cheers Zac!
Not bad for a first attemp zac. Keen to see what you can do after a bit of a play with this stuff. The radiater cap looked cool.
Really gotta rewatch the videos through mate, these double clips are getting a bit bothersome. Otherwise, great video; good music choice throughout.

19 minute mark, i wouldnt say its a classic LZ double clip - but you filmed once, and filmed a seperate clip and expanded immediately after

Iv done normal skinning but now I’m doing the same got new splitter and 6mm carbon fibre but doing a vac pack with a clothing bag lol
I got my rx8 splitter and cut the letters in the end wings and fitted led behind so when I turn my lights on it shows up RX8 on both sides and finished carbon fibre

Sanding with 60 grit is not for the epoxy to sit flat, its to create a mechanical bond.
Should do a giveaway with it that’d be sweet

Yeah that's fucked but you're giving it a go and that's what its all about. I think with enough sanding it will come out good.

We all do, but you do realise that ever since the R33 came to the channel, the falcon slowly became off the channel right?

@@juststuffwithwolfe4482 Well it has, when Zac bought the 33, it became the main car of the channel for a year, while the falcon was in the background and used as a daily driver as it was "finished" until he got the big turbo and wanted to make 600hp, then it came back, then it went away again
Im sorry brother , but this looks terrible, and i really do not mean this with any hate on it , take it as constructive criticism. I can absolutely appreciate the effort and honestly served to me as a learning process as well, i can now understand the importance of vacuuming it. Additionally, if i can assist with this bit is ive learned that you need to sand Alot , go through all the grades from 100 up to near 1000 grit. Once its at a desired level surface THEN clear coat it , sand again with a 2000 grit and maybe even 2500/3000 and then polish for the “perfection” if you want . You TRULY want to build those layers up especially on a wear/tear part like that where youll have hands on it and keys etc.
I do have questions for you , what size carbon did you go with ? You mention several MM sizes ,
