Hi there Tone, just want to say how much I enjoyed last night's live stream, always great to meet up on here and chat with other fans, and talk music, The Beatles and the occasional Womble.. Just to let you know that earlier today I picked up the latest issue of Uncut and got the CD with 9, yes, 9 tracks donated by the Lennon estate from the Ultimate mixes box, and they have blown me away, and I really can't wait for my box set, 2 CD and 2 LP's to arrive. This is making me think that the number nine, number nine, number nine is going to loom large in the puzzle therein contained in this Fab John Lennon box. Needless to say these tracks are now on my phone and I-Pod, and I'm the Greatest from the RSD EP is included. The magazine also comes with a separate book reviewing all of John's albums. If you haven't already Tone, get yourself a copy of this, makes a nice companion piece to the box set. And a big thank you to Sean, Yoko and all at the Lennon estate for this freebie Uncut CD.. As they used to say on that chocolate ad from many moons ago... Ambassador, you spoil us.....

Hi Tone glad to see you on the Lennon website! Managed to get a Macca ticket for the O2 on the Wednesday, not the best of seats but at least it's in the lower tier. Have been up in the top tier only twice and think the seats should come with seat belts and a parachute up there. Haven't seen him since the Flowers in the Dirt tour back in 1990 although had tickets for a Hammersmith Christmas show a few years back and couldn't get there as Essex was snowbound. Opted for Wednesday rather than the Thursday as thought the voice might be stronger from a couple of days' rest rather than the 2nd night in a row. Glad you're going and that you'll be so near the front that you'll be practically onstage with him 😊 all the best
I remember that gig at Hammersmith . They took all the seats out so it was all standing - it was fab. I remember the snow too. Im also in Essex but maybe not as rural as you so was able to get the tube to Hammersmith. As I said in the livestream, it's just great to be in the same room as the man so you'll have a fantastic night regardless of seats . you make a good point about is voice. I always think that his voice improves after about 5 or 6 songs . Takes him a bit of time to get them going these days.

Large Asda megastore. Managed to pick up the last copy of Uncut! Small win! Have some things to do before I can dig in, but a nice CD to keep me happy until the 6CD set arrives, and it looks like a large article and an additional booklet going through and rating Lennon's solo albums.
Hi Tone, i fell to sleep after an hour (not because it was boring ,just knackered i love this channel) so here i am the morning after catching up but i been out and got the new edition of uncut the cd had 9 tracks from the mind games deluxe, one being Aisumasen (i'm sorry) fron the actual albumothers are elemental mixes including i'm the greatest a hidden track i believe. i promise (i hope ) ill be here for the next, take care.

I'm still catching up on the livestream. Backyard tapes: should have been on the CD set. No question about that. Very poor decision. Star Club. Let Peter Jackson have a go at restoring it. Would love to hear what could be done with the latest technology. McCartney III. Near the bottom in my opinion. I think it would be interesting to get a really good solo album this year. Egypt Station was not a favourite of mine either. I think Paul does need a strong collaborator, either in the band or on the production side. I think that would iron out some of the questionable decisions. Yoko. Went through a Yoko phase a few weeks back and found them, in the main, very good. Clothes. They always looked great no matter what era! Maybe good that they avoided the glitter excesses! Wombles! I think perhaps the Magic Roundabout may be more appropriate. Not necessarily from a music point of view but, there was some serious psychedelic goings-on there!
I'm up to dinnerwithgreedo's comment about the backyard tape not on the cd, and here's a thought because i don't know but because the version with the E.P from his website may not count in chart sales that's a shame if that's right.
Im not sure, but in the past the charts were never based on sales from every outlet anyway. It was only certain shops that contributed towards chart positions . I'm guessing that hasnt changed but I dont know for sure .
Tone, I thought the McCartney tickets were a shambles......absolute shambles. I had my three sons all trying to get tickets at the same time. One of my lads managed to get a pair in London(In the gods at £ 144.00 each). Meanwhile on Friday I managed to get a pair of standing tickets for Paris ( £ 66.00). I went to Paris in 2018 because London was sold out. Alright its about supply and demand .....I get it . McCartney is the one thing I spend money on....not fags or beer ! He is trying my patience ......with the stupid releases ...McCartney 3 anniversary Vinyl. Never mind I will calm down eventually !
Oh the tickets were an absolute fiasco Alan. So are you going to go to both shows? I saw him in pears in 1993. The tickets I got on the pre-sale were £125 (not in the gods bout quite new the back of the O2) when it came to the general sale on Friday Ticketmaster had put the price for that section up to 450 ! Remember it's not Paul demanding stupid money its the agencies selling the tickets /venues and promotors who are responsible and the coloured variants /anniversary vinyl you can blame the marketing team who come up with these silly ideas, Paul doesnt get involved with marketing.
