Your videos are very interesting and beautiful. The books were always confusing for me, but your method is so clear and easy. Everything looks perfect. Thank you so much.
I can not stop watching your amazing videos after the first one. It is magical. both in Arabic and in English keep going and help keep the traditions alive. I hope if there is a chance to be your full time student.

Thank you for these videos. I am only a few months in to learning how to create Islamic patterns, but have been interested since my visit to the Alhambra many years ago. Looking forward to more of your videos. I must point out that the dimensions in the sequence of rectangles shown early in the video should be square, root(2), root(3), root(4), not square, root(2), root(3), 2 x root(2)
7:05 And here is where my brain 'sploded. LOL I'm determined to do this. I'm just having a hard time finding a program that can handle this. I've dropped SketchUp because it doesn't do proper arcs. But I'm exasperated with GeoGebra because it is too difficult to erase/hide the lines I don't need anymore as I'm working. So, it looks like a spider web before I'm half way done. Yes, I know, I can switch to an actual compass and straightedge, but I don't have good tools there either. They are less accurate than GeoGebra. All the compasses I have won't hold the angle and they slip and the pencil dulls quickly. What to do... ?
Thank you, Professor, for this beautiful video.

Thank you for your kind comment, and for pointing out the mistake. Your right the third rectangle is root 4 not 2 x root 2
