I grew up with In Flames being my favorite band. Since TJR. When I was 17/18/19......I'm 41 now. My tastes were different back then. I personally love all of in flames music. Even the new stuff. It's like they grew up with me. They changed I changed. But I can see people that just learn about them recently and listen to their older stuff compared to now and I can see why they say they were better back then. But the standard In Flames riffs are still there. The hammer on and pull offs on guitar riffs they have always used. Acoustic stuff. Melodies....its all still there. But Eh. They can't put out anything bad imo. I grew up with them. As they grew up and changed as well.
Brother we all know he can do it... But in flames just don't produce that sort of music anymore which is the shame and problem not his ability to do it, clearly world class
Mark from Chimaira had the perfect voice for LOG. Yet when he performed with the band his voice was shot that night. Hey stuff happens. I've sang for local Heavy Metal bands and know how it feels to have those nights (no judgrment). However Anders REALLY nailed it. He's not Randy but his style translates to Lamb of God perfectly.
Anders still got it because he never f**king lost it and neither did In Flames. His vocal style is probably the closet to Randy's do he'd be an excellent stand-in for most LOG songs \m/ Fortunately I saw LOG one of the 1st nights of this tour before Randy got Covid, but this must've been a real unique experience \m/
@@dennischester4271 i like chimaira but yeah his performance was kinda weak. im seeing lamb of god on the 22nd and a little bummed by mark and matts performances, but ill be looking forward to anders doing this song, so fucking good
In Flames have been recording their new album, and hearing Anders display vocals like this which we've not heard in years, makes me really hopefully that a more gritty album is coming. Hopefully this is a teaser of what's to come - nailed it!
I agree bro! I actually had a little convo with Chris Broaderick at the show and he told me the new album is “pretty fucking heavy” so we shall see! I think Anders has really developed great control and technique with his vocals; he’s certainly showing that in live settings right now. Regardless, I can’t wait for the new album and I know it’ll be a wonderful collection of melodic metal greatness 🤘🔥🔥🤘
@@Speed4Runs Of course - I love the sound he has, regardless of if it is his more melodic sound or his more gutterals. Whatever he puts out, will be a smash hit. But hearing his 'new' gutteral sounds from this video makes me excited if he has plans for this type of level :D
@@OmghaxRaven21 I doubt so, it happens a lot that band members start doing heavy stuff in their free time and then the sound of their band is even more mild :v but yeah, it would be interesting. I personally wish they went back to A Sense of Purpose's sound. It's very hated, but somehow I love that. I can't really get into his typical new scream/growl instead... It sounds less original, imho
Wtf man, I never imagined Anders still has it in him. Wow, just wow. Can you please transfer that energy to my once beloved band from Sweden? Pretty please? 🙏
@@supninja99 Absolutely ! What bothers me when singers who get more into cleans start to have deteriorating screams. In Anders' case, his screams are still killer, even better than in the past.

Anders can always scream. It's so easy for him. People who don't reconize it are so ridicules. You dont understand where Anders, like an artist want to be. We have to respect that.
Those who know know that Anders never lost his brutal growls, he just wanted In Flames to become more of a poppy/commercial band, possibly just to sell records. Wish they would go back to even their Clayman and colony era sound, ditch the autotuned cleans and throw out whoever their producer is, albums have sounded terrible since howard started working with em, sounds like something a guy in a basement with toontrack progammed drums and a line 6 pod made.
Well maybe you are not very far off from the truth but i believe every band have album(s) they need to do. I'm thinking like Megadeths Risk, Metallica - St Anger, Bruce Dickinsons solo albums and Rob halfords solo album. To me In Flames still only got one album that stands out the most are "Battles".
Talked with Chris Broderick at the Colorado Springs show the other night. I asked him about the new album, he said it was pretty fucking heavy. Then I asked him if they let him have any input on the songs and he said yes. Super curious to see how it sounds

Anders did flawlessly, would love to show to every so called In Flames fan that says Anders don't have the screams anymore.
Dude, I’ve seen them 16 times, and he’s never sounded better when I saw them last week. He fucking killed it
That's the thing people dont think about when bands get older. It's hard to maintain that longevity for years if they dont change.
