To give credit to Bungie, they do a decent... ish job at banning cheaters in Destiny 2 but, it can often taking a while. This delay in ban time has lead to certain cheaters making "viable" businesses from paid Trials carries, as they can make good money before getting banned and then they can just buy a new account to repeat the cycle. Hopefully this is something that can be stamped out in the future. Enjoy!

Had a couple games like this on console on that map, so frustrating when you use vertical space no noise jumping and they just know where your head is.
I love seeing you beat those guys. I really wish Bungie would just hire a few people to work the weekends and just check streams, review reports, and issue bans.

The weird thing is that I believe at one point they said they would ban people who played with cheaters but that was a long ass time ago and they clearly arent following up on that.

I mean, they kinda got backlashed on it because you can't ban a person for unknowingly playing with a cheater. A person could be using some cheat for unlimited ammo and you honestly can't tell unless you're intentionally watching them.

Wouldn't be surprised if 30% of the community cheats in some way and Bungie already knows, but no way they would ban and hurt their numbers when everyone complaining still plays lol
They also said they would ban people doing carries for money and somehow Jake isn’t banned yet even when he has his own currency literally made just for people to buy carries with and him make money from the views and donations to get the currency
Yesterday in Trials, a guy who I am pretty sure was hacking (Peacekeeper, Immortal Adept Titan who would laser us from so far away), had a 1v1 with me. I was playing Void Hunter, so he could not find mind me and I flanked around to revive both my teammates, who he could not both take. After that round, he personally messaged me to tell me I am a "invis basta*d" and that "I'm trash". We still won the game, I felt so good seeing his card get flawed.
It's both infuriating to watch games like this and so absolutely satisfying at the same time. I hate these cheating shitheads, but man.. watching them lose is S Tier content.
It's satisfying to me to watch them actual win. Because love seeing peoples reactions 🤣
Having to play so methodical like that is insane to me, it’s so entertaining because it shows so much knowledge of how to play and that it isn’t just some cheese build to be good
That is what it looks like in higher tiers of comp and skrims. However we also speed up the pace. The only way I can describe that type of play is like a dance everyone on the teams are reacting too the same information at the same time and are all making the correct choices. It causes these incredible moments. Tho you can’t play like that forever because being frank it’s exhausting. I am an athlete and I will get tired after a few games. Our brains are just working over drive. It’s why certain cheese builds don’t work at high elo. It’s also how you beat cheaters. They lack fundamentals which allows counter play like this. Almost all of the cheaters are bad players or at least avg. Very few good players cheat which is why videos like these are possible. I wish there was a way too Ban and sue all of them. They are disgusting and ruin it for everyone.
Bungie needs an intern whose job it is to go between the largest pvp streamers every couple of minutes to ban cheaters and the people they're queued with that the streamers face. I think it makes sense as a business decision, it makes the PvP scene look healthier and less cheater-infested as well as making streamers less pessimistic in front of their audience.
Especially since a lot of of cheaters stream snipe and try to match streamers

As long as they're not bias. Jake has been known to call people cheaters who were proven with their own youtube videos to not be cheaters, just good at the game.
@@oxsila - It’s not just Jake. I’ll watch streams where the streamer will absolutely put the opponent on blast for cheating and an “impossible shot” and it’s clearly him just getting beat.
There are some times it’s so obvious it hurts but there’s a ton of grey area.
@@cimirie01it’s only a grey area when it’s a good player subtlety cheating. It becomes annoying when someone like the dude in the video who’s a career 0.5 kd somehow being a 5.0, they should’ve been investigated.
Heya Jake, if you can, would you be able to link the destiny tracker report for the games of the cheaters you make in videos. It counts as appropriate information in the link to end results section of cheating reports when put through Bungie's report option on their website.
the problem banning people queued with cheaters is that the average person doesn't even know how to look up someone's stats. the amount of times I've queued with diers from the destiny LFG discord and I've checked someone in my groups trials report and seen they were cheating and tried to convince the rest of them that they are is mind-blowing
They can see who is invited to fireteams and who isn’t so they should be able to ban people who invited a cheater or that cheaters invite and then do this stuff
Streamer privilege, wanting people to be banned because they might have randomly queued with a cheater. Streamer privilege is why this game is the mess it currently is. Sooner Marathon comes out the better, I don't want to see these PVP no lifers cry about Destiny 2's PVP when you have a dedicated game solely for PVP.

@@bingus8434 Here is the problem, THEY MAY NOT KNOW THE PERSON IS CHEATING OR NOT. I have been in control maps 6 v 6 where we have guys obvious cheating on our team or the other team (literally infinite ammo heavy, teleporting) and I type in the chat that person x is cheating and they need to be reported and they reply with "Skill issue?" or "Nah I don't think he's cheating".
On the bright side, 2 of them fell at the lighthouse. So great job in dealing with them!

The take on collateral cheating damage, though, I gotta say is a bad take. It just is.
If I LFG, I’m sorry, I don’t pay attention at all to how well my teammates aim. I have no idea if they have wallhacks (unless they say something). Sure, over a long enough timeline of playing with somebody you could probably get a good idea. But a single card for most players? Not unless the guy flat out tells you. I am way too busy watching the other team and trying to play the position battle with my own team to have the slightest idea how well my teammates shoot.
Banning me for something I had no influence on and have little to no ability to discern is simply stupid. I’m all for putting cheaters in the frying pan. But collateral damage for people who may or may not even know what’s going on is lazy at best.
You say: “what about players in the same clan or folks that always play together?” OK, I could listen to that argument. But even then you can’t prove that they know. And banning somebody for something Bungie can’t prove is once again, lazy. They need to be decisive with the ban hammer, but they need to use it with certainty. There’s already way too much ill will in the community for tenuous associations to get met with a ban.
First, these people are paying to get carried by a cheater. You sound like you are the one paying for these services, if you can't tell someone is cheating then you are purposely ignoring it and playing stupid that you don't know what's going on. You do this kind of coping because you want what you paid for.

On my Lighthouse game I went up against a 3 stack of cheaters with 3 solos. We were up 2-0 then they turned on the lag switch and started shoulder charging us from across the map.
Well this is nothing new I have seen ads for this pop up in my Google feed as well as on UA-cam itself but is there anything bungee can actually do about it that's my question

lol, bro.... Just do what the cheaters do and get a new account for like $30 bucks.. A quick google search is all it takes to get back up and running. These accounts come with full DLC and even exotics to get you started.

People who are paying others to carry them aren’t smart enough to know when someone else is cheating. They’re also probably not checking stats. I suck so bad in pvp that it seems like everyone is cheating all the time.

They probably ended up losing 50% of their pvp population every time they issued a ban wave so they stopped.
They have to prove with 100% certainty that they KNEW the person was cheating. Do you really believe most of the Destiny community even knows it's head from it's ass?
Sometimes the high KD for the week is legit, i have a life time 1.10 and 90% with cloudstrike and this week i got my best flawless run 3+ k.d.

Bungie not doing anything about this is one of the reasons I stopped playing. Just watching videos pop up every weekend showing rampant cheating is enough to keep me away from Bungie.
I agree he's cheating for sure especially with multiple instant snipes it's super obvious. Cheaters account has been playing since D1 and he probably recently started cheating because this season his stats are insane. Problem for Bungie and for all gaming companies is to prove that these assholes are cheating without this sort of evidence. All he would need to do to hide under the radar would be to hesitate on the snipes to make it look legit, then he would be good but he's so horny for the kill he gives himself away. Most subtle cheaters hide it to the point where you wouldn't know if they are cheating or not, just enough to make you look them up but can't quite understand why they beat you to every angle or just have you figured out no matter what setup you're using.
To be honest, they just need to get rid of mandatory flawless by winning so many in a row. For example, you can go flawless by winning 7 in a row with the current mercy card OR by just winning 30 total matches over the reset period (only once per weekly reset). With flawless pool enabled on Sundays and Mondays, I promise you will be seeing more people in trials than ever before because they know at the end of the day they aren't wasting their time in trials and get the feeling of accomplishment of going to the light house (which isn't a big deal anyway). Keep things like the dazzling iridescence emblem for those that want to go above and beyond to be an elite or stand out but most are happy just going to the light house.
These people are the worst. Making money by doing nothing.

Jake, brother, I can completely understand being frustrated with this game and it’s antics (titans, broken servers, etc.). That being said, almost every video you’ve put out in the past month has been negative, whether it’s you or topics surrounding/within the game. It almost looks worse on you to continue trying to force content out of this dead game. It’s kind of backwards for you to continually trash this (PvE focused) game for neglecting its PvP then continue to push out a ton of (negative) content on it

I hate cheaters says the guy playing with a controller which gets a 60% bonus to all aim assist guns have. Just because you didnt download your assistance, doesnt mean youre not getting some aim help just like that dude is.
The only way they should ban someone for playing with a cheater, is if you played with them more than once. Because the only people that look at others "k.d" is streamers or ultra sweats on lfg. (And when I say once, I mean a single 5 game match of trials.) Idgaf if you got a 10 k.d or a .0 k.d

“Play on xbox” yet trials is a cross play mandatory mode or at least it states that it’s required
All PvP is; I tried playing once with Cross Play disabled (while being on PSN) and was told by the game I couldn't queue into Control unless I had Cross Play enabled.
If you are on Xbox with Crossplay turned on, you will only match other consoles.
PC is in its own matchmaking pool. Unless you are in a fireteam with a PC player, then you will not match against PC on console, even with Crossplay on.
@@Nerfsii why do people still think this?? You can literally see the different icons next to a person's name on the player list you can pull up in-game. PSN, Stadia (RIP) and Xbox all have their icons next to a person's name and PC users either have a controller when they're flagged as having a controller input (even when it's not) or a keyboard for when they're flagged as having a keyboard input.

Im on Xbox and lately I get into matches and at least one person on the opposing team doesn’t miss shots at all. Went into a PC lobby with a friend afterwards….missed shots and normal gameplay. GameStop sells Cronus for $99 and more and more console players are clearly using it to mod their controllers.

It’s not just that not only do we have memories and a history with this game I’ve ventured out and played other games and the gun play that destiny has to offer you genuinely can’t find anywhere else nobody comes close. The bad is just out weighing the good rn with reskins lack luster content with price increases. We’re essentially paying more for less and that’s why so many people are stepping away and the final shape is their final chance to pull everyone back in. They know this I’m sure of it that’s why I’m also sure the reveal for final shape is gonna have to be a big one towards the end of this month I heard

To me playing trials with Omni Level hacks is like button mashing in Mortal Kombat, yea it works but the min someone scorpion teleports behind you and busts out and unblockable combo then you're in danger, and you just proved that by busting his ass with the shotty. Aimbot snipers are literally linear in their "skill" point shoot win and the min you get in their personal space they freeze up.

Usually you have to wait until flawless pool is active or try EARLY on friday to go flawless. It is easier than ever to go flawless with new mercy card.

Unpopular opinion, I don’t think the people who play with cheaters should be banned as well. I think of it like this. If my friend started cheating now after years of playing with him. I would not stop playing with him. Would it hinder the ability to have fun and get my own kills? Yes. Would it be an unfair advantage over my opponents? Also yes. Is it my fault as the friend of a cheater to be queuing into games with them? No.
The issue is the people paying the cheater to be their teammate and carry, which is the majority of these situations.

At the same time though you are making money from views and your currency on your channel from doing carries and people have to spend a form of currency they can only get from following you on twitch making you money so technically you are also doing paid carries and should be banned in my eyes
