  • Yo Will is back! Today he shows us how he welds a 2" heavy wall pipe. MIG root pass dual shield flux core fill and cap. He really makes a point that having a proper body position helps you weld faster without having to stop and readjust.

Man where was this video back in 2017, i remember i got called up to a fab shop for tig pipe test but the supervisor switched it up to mig root and flux. It was a fat guy named Maynard, always always ALWAYS on his golf cart, never got off that poor cart, even though it was an electrical cart, i could see signs of overheating 😁

I've always been wondering is using a passive lens pretty hard to use I've always used auto darkening and I feel like passive might make it harder to figure out where your starting. Also I've been doin some welding outdoors and find it hard getting glare from the sun behind me at times which makes it hard to see what do y'all recommend for that. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I'm back in my native New Jersey now, but I'm having a very difficult time finding work as a entry level welder or welders helper in the tri-state area. Any tips on how to break into the industry?
