Now that was probably one of the best tutorials I've seen on UA-cam. Everything was explained and noted for clarity. Thank you Randy. Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2021 to you and your loved ones.
Hi, very interesting video. Very good idea. I love also my hammers. Maybe I will do a new video, too. Thanks for the inspiration. Best regards from Florence, Italy.
That's a very handy tool to have around the shop. Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas to you and your family and get back to Living Life in a positive world. Blessings to all.
Very nice gift project Randy! Lot of machining for something that size. I would have loved to see the engraving process. Anyone would be proud to have that as a gift as it was custom made! 🇺🇸 Roger
Hi Randy Great little project that I will have a go at tomorrow . Love the pop up graphics with the details . Stay safe , looking forward to seeing your work in 2021.
I love the little info boxes. Maybe add more in future vids as it's a great way to share relevant data and your post obs. Never seen a deadblow with oil in and will try that. Thanks
Thank you Randy loved the intuitive captions on your video edit too Merry Christmas and happy New Years too. Hope all your family are safe and healthy too
Great video production with the annotations. Nice knocker design. Will be a great Christmas present. Wishing you a Happy New Year, and may 2021 be very kind to you.
That looks great Randy. I've been looking for an excuse to try mill turning on my machine... This project may be just the right thing to get me motivated.
Like the build, Randy have you thought of poring lead directly in the cavity instead do using shot? To me it would not be as hard a small ladle and a couple of wheel weights would do the trick
That makes me want to make one Randy - if I ever get back into some shop time! It's so convenient and ideal for the type of usage you have done with yours. Probably be a case of hunt around in the bits box and come up with something along those lines. Hope you and the family have enjoyed a peaceful Christmas and, all best for the New Year. :)
I always make those sorts of things for myself too. Then someone else sees it and wants one so I make another on which is usually better because I fix most of the things I did wrong on the first one. Of course I give away the best one and keep the "prototype" thinking I'll make another one "someday" including all the "improvements". Never happens of course.
Great video Randy and I love what you're doing with your editing software adding "explanation bubbles". I'd love a copy of your drawing. You should have my email address. Merry Christmas and wishing you and yours a safe and Happy New Year.
One of my favorite little projects. So well executed too ! That laser engraving looks amazing. 👍🏻🍻
Thank you very much! That is diamond scribe engraving. Much more durable than laser. MC
Great job . I did not realise they had oil in them as well . Cheers .
A few out there do. Thanks Max.
Thanks Randy for such wonderful gift, I love it. I’ve been walking around my shop tapping on everything with it because it’s just so cool. Thanks!
I thought you would like it. I use mine everyday in the shop.

I love the little info boxes. Maybe add more in future vids as it's a great way to share relevant data and your post obs. Never seen a deadblow with oil in and will try that. Thanks
The oil allows you to fine tune your hammer, it does not take a lot of oil, I use a bit of light weight oil. Thanks John.
Excellent job Randy and a nice gift for Yuchol. Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2021 to you and your family. Cheers, Jon

Reminds me of my 3 monkies hammer which I use often.
👍
Very nice Randy. Hope you are having a great Christmas. Gary
Thank you! You too!
I like it. Excellent video
Thank you Herbert.👍👍👍😀
Nice project and an even nicer gift. Is the oil standard in this type of 'device' or is it your own idea? Just curious.
I think most are dry. I played around with shot and oil. I found you can tune it for the feel you want, I use transmission oil.
Another fun project with lots of simple practice exercises. Can you make machinist jacks out of aluminum or would they be too soft?
No not at all.
@@RRINTHESHOP No they wouldn't be too soft, or no you shouldn't make them out of aluminum?
Nice Randy I’m making one 👍
Cool 👍
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! Great project, and very useful! What do you use for your drawings, they look fantastic!
i use Fusion 360
@@RRINTHESHOP thank you!
making one of these for sure
For sure. HNY.

Merry Christmas

I never knew those hammers had oil in them.

👍
thank you
Where you can buy the knoker
email me for details, rrintheshop@gmail.com
are you offering them for sale?
Yes Keith, email me RRINTHESHOP@GMAIL.com
Tappy, tap, tap...😃
😀
Why do you put oil in it?
You do not have to, but it allows you to fine tune the hammer feel. It does not take much to effect it.
Great video Randy and I love what you're doing with your editing software adding "explanation bubbles". I'd love a copy of your drawing. You should have my email address. Merry Christmas and wishing you and yours a safe and Happy New Year.
