Thank you for this video, it seems to be the only independent review of this stove I can find. I would love to hear how it goes in another 1 to 2 years of use to see if it is sturdy or cheaply made junk.
Cheers will do another video on it in about a year old . Still going well and fairly happy with it . I seen them going as cheap as $59 some days on their website. Thanks for watching 👍🍻
Cheers mate , yes great if you got a van for sure . Just watch the prices and get one on a price drop , as they happen every few days . Thanks for watching 👍🍻
I own the fyrenite hyper flame double burner and hated it, its always way to hot with poor low heat control even after lubing the O rings. Interested to know if this has better flame control. Regardless I invested in the Jetboil genesis Basecamp system for a big trip thru central Australia and have never been happier, except for the kids inheritance I had to hand over for it. can we get a side by side flame control comparison with the Colemen and Kings at night so we can see the flame better?
Well done KINGS!! And Dino for making me aware these are available. Like you Ive had a Coleman fyreknight for ages and its brilliant but bulky and I have very rarely used 2 burners at once so this is gonna be a winner!! I cant believe coleman didnt think this was a good idea!! Is the build quality up to the coleman level?
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you found the video helpful. Like you, I've been using the Coleman for a while and it's a solid unit, though bulky. The Kings portable stove is definitely a more compact option, and I think you'll find it handy given you don't often use both burners. In terms of build quality, while Coleman has set a high bar, the Kings stove holds up pretty well. It's robust for its size and price, though it may not have the same long lasting feel as the Coleman. It's definitely worth a try if you're looking for something more portable without compromising too much on quality. Time will tell I guess ,Thanks for watching 👍🍻
I have the same Coleman with cast iron plate. It’s great in wind & when u need a lot of heat however I was never really happy with it as it would never simmer on low heat & burn food. I used to refill bottle but found they are under $10 at Bunnings so I don’t bother anymore. Kings one looks good but wonder how low heat is….cheers for the review !
Wow . Didn’t realise the bottles were less than $10 at Bunnings . I would have thought they would have jacked their prices up like the rest I have seen. The heat can turn down very low on this stove . Cheers for the info and thanks for watching 👍🍻
There is a hack you can do but latest version, Coleman reduced the amount grease they put in so not as bad as earlier ones…. Google hack hyperflame stove, can simmer very low flame
Great review yet again Dino. I was wondering how these compare with the single burners from kmart/coles/bunnings that use that aerosol can that you fit inside the unit. I use one and its been great, but not in the wind. At a $1.50 per can its pretty economical too.
Yeah I got one of those campmaster ones in the mitzy van and they not very good in the wind . Another viewer pointed out the canisters for these are at Bunnings for under $10 which I not realised till now. Thanks for watching mate 👍🍻
Cheers nas. While it prevents the flame from being blown out, the effectiveness of heating can vary. Typically, windproof designs aim to shield the flame and maintain a consistent temperature, but extreme conditions might still affect performance. After using my coleman during windy conditions it was awesome. But you brought up a good point i will cover in a video later on after using the stove in different conditions. Hope all has been well mate 👍🍻
@@EFFICIENTSELF The Coleman version is 3/4 of the way to a good stove for the price, they dropped the ball on some of the details Too much marketing, not enough engineering Would be interesting to do a bit of a teardown and compare the component quality of the Kings version
I bought one of these and it makes an annoying "putt putt" noise when the burner is up high? Sounds like yours does the same. My other gas stoves don't make this noise?
Yeah, I've noticed that "putt putt" noise too when the burner is cranked up. It seems to be a common issue with this model if yours does the same. Thanks for watching 👍🍻
@@EFFICIENTSELF Think I might give this one to my son and stick with my Oztrail double burner stove. Either that or chuck it in the bin as I doubt it would be worth my while to take it back to Kings. At least the Oztrail doesn't make that annoying "putt putt" noise.
Hey mate, I own the fyreknight aswell and I'm looking at downgrading to a single burner for space aswell, curious to know what the temperature control is like compared to the coleman? and also if it does that annoying whistle when it's heating up with a pan on?? Cheers Luke
If you meaning one of those solid flat bbq plates um not that I know of . I know the Coleman double stove you can as I have one for my Coleman and possibly will fit in the kings double stove but not that I know of with the single burner kings. Thanks for watching 👍🍻
Great video again. Love you reviewing this stuff where others are steered away from showing. Thanks again for this.
Thank you! I really appreciate your support. I'm glad you enjoy the reviews and find them helpful. Thanks for watching 👍🍻

How long do one of those smaller gas bottles last on a stove like this? Looking at getting my my first gas stove.
Approximately 3 hours on high
@EFFICIENTSELF awesome. Thank you

Very cool indeed Dino, thanks buddy, take care, stay safe my friend. Seeya Rob........very convenient to put away just in case.
Cheers rob 👍 hope all is well as can be 👍🍻
Actually looks good. Although, I wonder with that windproofing? The flame may not go out in the wind but how effective would it be in heating?

The regulator storage looks good, I think my Coleman just has it floating around scratching up the stove
@@scod3908 yes in the Coleman there is no regulator storage. Thanks for watching much appreciated 👍🍻
