One of the good things about being a good English speaker for a Japanese person is that I can enjoy your reactions without the need for a translation channel.
They didn't HAVE to animate Lillia picking up Lucy and handing her to Rudy, but since he's missing his left hand it's difficult for him to do so I love that they went that far.
They've always been amazing with the details... like how at the start of the show, when his childhood home was the only world he knew, they took great care to make sure the light was always as it should be based on layout and windows and such. Lots of work, I'm sure, but it also adds so much to the feeling of the characters and world being alive.
I love how Sylphie was able to defuse the situation with kindness. When she went “Would you say the same about Lillia?” she gave me huge wise mom vibes. She really did grow up a lot over the last half season. Edit and mild spoilers: Holy shit, Ben is cooking like 2 seasons in advance. So cool to see.
Big Spoiler: Like HOLY sh, when he brought up the possibility of Migurds being able to communicate with Zenith, like HOW are they able to make such connections so soon in the story LOL
This is all Spoiler free so no problem If you are anime only I think you should hear this, in the novels Sylphy wasn't this calm and collected she was emotionally devasted from inside and was very scared that Rudeus might kick her out or might leave her, after he said that he wanted Roxy to be second wife she kinda calmed down from inside, but suddenly Norn outbursted, now for the Norn portion this wasn't explained well in the Anime, but Norn was here being extremely hypocritical she forgives her father for doing the same and technically worse considering that her father technically also had Raped Lilia in their teens, not to mention that neither Sylphy nor Rudy follow Milis religion, now here I need to expand a little Norn wasn't saying all this cuz his brother cheated but cuz she was in a rage and emotional state due to loosing her father and mom in that state whenever she has faced any stress in the LNs she started to rely on her religious beliefs, for those that don't know Milis religion doesn't allow Polygamy but allows Incest, either way Norn behaves like a brat and hypocrite and later on when Sylphie handled this in the Anime she nicely calmly explained to Norn meanwhile in the Novels she told Norn to stfu in a rather scary manner and then explained to her how big of a hypocrite she sounded either way Anime has cut way too much content in the last two episodes changing almost the entire situation, also Roxy wasn't the one who pulled Rudeus, in the Novels Rudeus was the one who started the sex and pulled Roxy
@@Aman_Mondal to be fair internal thoughts mid conversation are a week point of anime as media and having her tell Norm stfu without her internal POV wold be abrupt and confusing
@@Aman_Mondal Difference is Norn wasn't around when Paul cheated, so she doesn't know the circumstances of how Paul married Lilia. With Rudeus, she actually knows how everything went down which gives her much more ground to stand on when she criticizes Rudeus and Roxy.
I think the fact that while she's never met Roxy, she has heard a lot about her and what she meant to Rudy before Sylphie met him. It's not like he just brought home some random woman.
@filipeoliveiraladislau4533 I doubt it. You never get the impression that they met each other in the LN or anime. Plus, Sylphie would have been 4-6 years old at the time, so it's not like she would have been in a position to run into Roxy. Buena Village is also a farming village, so everyone would be really spread out. Not mention how shy Sylphie was as a child and her hair color would have kept her fairly isolated.
@@2006Whippet maybe not "meet" properly but she definitely has seen her. sadly Roxy is he reason that she started suffering bullying due the association of hair color = demon
31:29 this is why i love your reactions, you guys are always picking up all the small details and draw the correct conclusions... you two are smart as hell and it's refreshing after watching all the other dummies forgetting what happened 2 min before.
@@sheeeple2069 That's not what will happen so it was hardly a spoiler. Also they don't read comments so whatever (they never liked or responded to any comment under any video)
Autosave continues to prove they are the GOATS of MT reaction and discussion. It's sad that its over, but when season 3 comes back and your video drops, I'll be here no matter what.
I think the conversation had to be in front of Rudy's sisters as well because Rudy did become the man of the family now and because it's not the same "nuclear" type of family that is common nowadays but the extended type that was common for most of the time. Where a lot of members of the family live together and help each other. In my opinion, Paul and Lilia were my favorite characters in this season. Paul's selfless act as a father to save his own child and the love he harbored for his own wife were amazing. And Lilia's unparalleled loyalty to not only Paul but also Zenith who accepted her despite her religious beliefs. On top of that her incredibly emotional strength to be the rock for Rudy and also take care of Zenith by herself. Regardless though Norn, Aisha, Sylphie, Elinalise and even Roxy and Rudy had an incredible showing this season.
Rudeus is the head of the household and his sisters are his dependents. This does have real consequences down the line, some of which aren't resolved in the run of the main novels, mostly dealing with what the sisters can take initiative on as members of his household. So in that Rudeus could've easily left out the sisters from the conversation, but this doesn't occur to him. He sees his sisters as more equal to himself than the society he lives in does. He doesn't even know some of his responsibilities over them.
Especially since Norn is basically an orphan now and is being raised by Rudy, Sylphie and Lilia. I also like how in the end, the thing that made Norn let go of her rage at Rudy was Aisha when she realized the parallels between Lilia + Paul and Roxy + Rudy.
Lulia is such a good wife. Not a great woman, having seduced a man, but following that she's been the strongest caretaker and lover I think I remember. Wish we got to see more of her geeting her slice of happiness pie. Maybe next season.
Looking forward to (especially) Annas take on this episode. Last episode was... divisive, especially among female reactors, but Anna was one of the few who didn't just go "this is trash!" and then proceeded to sulk for the rest of the episode and discussion, acting like Rudeus has cheated on *her*, and instead did a proper read on the whole situation and properly deduced why the characters where acting (in character) the way they did, which was very refreshing. GG WP Anna. ^^
this is the first reaction channel i've been following. very recently actually. They are both very natural and follow the plot, take notes and all. it's interesting, a true proper "reaction".
Absolutely. Which is why they are so far the only reactors I am subscribing to now. I actually managed to learn more about the show and chars through their reactions and discussions
I think a big part of that is the scene left out of last episode. In the light novel Elinalise, Geese, Talhand and Roxy were talking about how to help Rudy, because after a week they were afraid he'd end up like Paul since he wasn't eating. Geese brought up how Elinalise used to say it was important for a guy to "get lucky" at a time like that. Elinalise said she couldn't do it since he was married to her granddaughter, and when it was brought up of Geese taking him to a brothel, Geese mentioned how he didn't think Rudy would cheer up from having sex with someone he doesn't know. The whole thing was showing just how worried and conflicted they all were about trying to help him. Roxy did have ulterior motives as well with what she did, but the whole thing comes across quite differently with their discussion included.
17:27 Got flashbacks to when they showed a montage of the students at the University during Part 1 lol, I love how excited they get over the mere presence of the side characters
Am i the only one who felt really nostalgic seeing Norn fighting Rudy all upset about Roxy? Totally reminds you of Rudy doing the same thing with Paul in Season 1.
And then the IMMEDIATE turnaround of Norn mirroring *Paul* by (trying to) beat the shit out of Rudy the very next day during sword practice as a way to take out her anger. Norn really is just a fun jumble of Rudy and Paul's characters.
Bro y'all were absolutely cooking on y'all discussions after this episode. I love when people actually remember things that happened in the story, and going back to it and seeing it reflect to where we are in the story.
Season 1: Welcome to a new World. Go explore and meet new people. Season 2: Form relationships and discover who you are. Season 3: WTF IS HAPPENING??!!
yall are probably one of the best reactors I've ever seen. The discussions afterward offer such a good perspective. It shows us that you guys are invested in the stories. Just don't overdo it and do too many of these since it seems like it takes a lot of time out of your days.
Eris is 1,000,000% coming back into the fold! She said in the season 1 finale that she loved Rudy, and was going train to fight alongside him. Plus she a badass! It would be a disservice to us as fans to not see how cool she becomes! We have 3 awesome mages in the family… you have to have at least 1 awesome swordswoman right🤷♂️!
I like that while Norn was not 100% in the right saying that, part of it because of her religion and part of it because she was lashing out her grief of Paul's death as well there, she did have a point in being angry as well. Sylphy was great there, she understood the situation, admitted that if she was in Roxy's place she would do the same (we know she would 100% do that if it was to help Rudy since she saved him once by doing that already) and of course, she knows her husband, she grew with Paul who had 2 wives and later with Ariel, so she knew something like that could happen. I'm glad things were solved the way they were and everyone was happy at the end (even Norn, who during the delivery was with Roxy there) I wonder if in season 3 Rudy's inner voice will become the present one instead of the past one, it would make sense since there is all that thing about moving on, etc.
@@filipeoliveiraladislau4533 Not only did Sylphy spend more time with Rudeus' parents than Rudeus but the norm is entirely polygamous. Rudeus was the only one expecting him to not take any more wives. Everyone else knew what was going on.
Sylphie also spend most of her life surrounded by nobles while serving Ariel. She saw many nobles with several wives and husbands. And even Luke her best friend had a harem of his own. You often see him surrounded by girls. That was normal for her. She understood that Rudy was a noble and she is a commoner and even back then she was thinking if she ever got together with him he is probably expected to marry a noble woman. She prepared herself for it and was thinking that she wouldnt compain if that were to happen. But of course with Roxy, unlike Norn, she really understood that Roxy saved him and without her he really might not have come back to her alive. She and Roxy both know that Rudy might be strong but inside he is actually pretty weak. They both know about his traumas and that he wasnt able to overcome them alone. They both needed to take action to help him overcome it. Thats also why she said that she would have done the same if she was in Roxys place. Sylphie was really the best character in this episode. She handled it all so maturely. It seems the long time she was alone actually helped her grow mentally and become stronger.
There is one more call back. When Norn started yelling at Roxy, Rudy tried to protest, but Norn said, "brother you shut up" in the same tone and sentence Zenith said to Paul in the Lilia pregnancy reveal scene. I think that's what took Rudy aback, I guess like mother like daughter. Norn was still inside Zenith at the time, so only Rudy and maybe Lilia would remember that.
Don't really wanna compare MT and Frieren cuz they're both great in their own right, but having read the LN I still like MT better, there's just a lot more x-factor and unexpected in MT
A bunch of people screaming about how last episode is horrible and immoral: "THEY AREN'T EVEN INCLUDING SYLPHIE IN THIS DISCUSSION! THEY'RE JUST IGNORING HER INPUT!" Rudy, Roxy, and Elinelise in last episode while those folks were screaming: "We cannot move forward without Sylphie's input. Her decision is absolutely paramount to this discussion." Norn this episode: "I AM IGNORING SLYPHIE IN THIS DISCUSSION!"
I know its crazy! Haha one sec Im swearing they have already watched/read this before and then immediately after they bring something else out of left field that was totally unexpected. Either they have god-like acting abilities or are super good at remembering aspects of a story and speculating (I'm betting its the latter.) Always fun to watch
I think it should be mentioned that a big reason that so many of these dicey situations are able to work out in the show and end in a good note, is that the people involved actually care for each other, were in life and death situations and they are not out to get everyone. Realistically this is inconceivable in today's world if you didn't happen to cultivate a very strong family/friend circle. They don't expect or predict any sort of malice on others part, and they know how precious these bonds are because there's the possibility that tomorrow they might not be alive anymore, whereas the world we live in is relatively safe and so most people don't care about the unique experiences they have when meeting anyone.
Can’t wait for the next season. The next two parts are going to go crazy. You guys should definitely read the LN after that. It expands on what the anime has shown so much.
15:34 Every time I reread this part of the story, and specially now with the anime, this is the first thing that crosses my mind. I can never fully enjoy these peaceful parts without imagining Paul there
I like the colors they used for the numbers for the seasons, II was both green and blue and III is red. I think you guys can guess who those colors represent!
Paul's death begged a lot of what ifs for me. If Sylphy wasn't pregnant, she could've come with Rudy and they would've had two silent spellcasters. If Eris didn't didn't decide to leave, Ghislaine would've completed the Fangs of the Black Wolf and they could've won that fight without anyone dying. Unfortunately, Rudy's fate is so unbendable that even Hitogami can't do much about it. 😭
Having another silent caster wouldnt have helped as the hydra was resistant to magic. Having another fighter on the other hand would have probably made it way easier. Like if ghilaine was there that hydra would have been easy pickings.
@@jebes909090 Not sure how well-synced Rudy and Sylphy are at this point but if they fought like they would in the library labyrinth, I can still imagine this an easy slash-and-burn with no delay. But yeah, Ghislaine is definitely the easy out. Now I have another reason to hate Eris. 😬 Kidding. Goddess of War is dope AF.
I thought about that but then the question becomes what about Norn and Aisha I guess Aisha could just enroll in the university and stay at the dorms but idk, it would have also made the sucubus encounters less challenging
@@fcgHenden roxy is actually ideal for labrynth diving since she has a ton of experience. sylphy's experience is basically just fighting humans and body guard type stuff. having all three of them would definitely be some major fire power but in this world swords men(and women) tend to have the advantage because of battle aura's. think ki from dbz. thats why they can do such rediculas things like cutting off a hydra's head (or paul literally cutting through a boulder with a wooden sword. )
My "what if" is what if Rudeus told sHitogami to fuck off the first time he said Rudeus would regret going to Begaritt and then didn't go to the university. I assume he would've met up with Paul's group in East Port around the time Ruijerd got there. The question then would be would they still send Norn and Aisha away? Paul originally had them go with Ruijerd to Rudeus since Paul was the only real hard-hitter of the group (and Roxy in certain situations), but Rudeus could have convinced Ruijerd to come help rescue Zenith, so the addition of Rudeus, Elinalise, and especially Ruijerd with his third eye (since he can see monsters from a distance) to the group might have changed Paul's mind about not taking Norn and Aisha. Ruijerd can see mana with his third eye, so they probably would've found the hidden circle on the sixth floor leading to the guardian, and the hydra fight would've been an absolute fucking cakewalk if Ruijerd was a dedicated tank to Rudeus, meaning Paul wouldn't have had to switch to tanking for Rudeus at the end and dying because of it. Also Roxy fixing Rudeus' ED. But then of course, there's the question of what the "regret" would be in that case... which us LN readers know the """regret""" hasn't happened yet.
You guys very quickly became my favorite pair of anime reactors. You pick up on all the good stuff and have really nice discussions at the end of your episodes. Keep up the good work.
Absolutely LOVE this adaption of the ending of Vol 12, it is done almost perfectly it adds a bit from Vol 13 with Norn starting her sword training early but I have no problem with that, it's as good of an adaption I could've hoped for. Also as I'm currently reading the LN's I've been a bit worried about Badigadi so seeing where he is has cleared a worry for me lol (edit oops wrong LN vols originally)
The part about badigadi is a bit strange but whatever the rest was peak and so well done, whoever is a LN reader and is complaining about anything is just salty af, the anime portrayed so many things better than expected and in a more natural way, the beginning of the new season will hit us really hard from the get go it seems
@@pedrod.guimaraes5030 Anyone who is complaining about this ending is an idiot, it portrayed things as well as possible for the anime, there's a little bit of cut content (for instance Sylphie explains she expected Rudy to bring home either Linia Percenia or Nanahoshi as a second wife) but it really isn't needed as the meaning of the interaction is "I accept you because you love Rudy too." It's as well adapted as I could hope for. It's just a guess for me but Cour 1 of season 3 will be Vol 13 and 14 as there is a big thing that's happening in both (NO SPOILERS ANYONE) and the end of cour 1 should be a very big cliffhanger.
All the salty ln reader want the anime to be completely the same as the novel word by word 😂. Anime had the advantage to visualize more stuff but they can't just describe everyone thoughts
@@ryaz4704it's most likely the author plan it even with the first appearance of Zanoba. The same as this poly relationship is already hinted since Pauls and Lilia + Zenith get together.
😂 I wonder if there will be outrage and contoversy again I dont remember who it was who said that Rudeus dub voice stated that alot of people will drop the series with the basement storyline. Maybe it was psyculturist
Holy shit, you guys never fail to surprise me with the depth and understanding of your analysis. The number of times you two have taken the smallest details and perfectly understood themes that haven't even been introduced yet is insane. I absolutely love to see it. (Spoilers below): Ben's statement during the discussion about Mangod's predicted regrets was insane. "Okay if Mangod tells Rudy he's going to regret it, is that Mangod saying that the rRdy that died in the last life was going to regret it, is that Mangod saying that the current Rudy sitting in front of him would regret it, or is that saying that the Rudy that is yet to come is going to regret it." Obviously, the doubt in Mangod is pretty easy to pick up on and wondering how it's going to manifest isn't much of a long shot, but the PHRASING of that is so crazy considering Turning Point 4.
Love the mirroring with both of the different versions of the Greyrat families. When Paul got Lillia pregnant it was Zenith that excepted her to become part of the family, similarly how Slyphie excepted Roxy as part of the family. Also funny how Norn was taking her frustration out on Rudy through training much like Paul did.
More than anything, the Aisha moment with her mom hit me hard. Not sure why, but it's almost like I didn't notice her? "They're the maids! They don't have feelings..."
11:36 In the original story, Silphy says to Norn. "Norun, could you please be quiet for a moment?” "You've been going too far. I've never said anything against it."
I like that during the entire initial group meeting, Roxy is just sitting there staring at the table. She's just waiting for the upcoming bomb to drop and is probably not expecting things to go well.
Badi probably asked Ruijerd on his relations with Rudy. And im sure Ruijerd speak about his encounter with Orsted to him. They're enemy but i think they're honorable enough and wouldn't backstab each other. That's how i see Ruijerd and Badi.. And i doubt Eris gonna join Ariel in taking the throne mission.. I think they did say in the past episodes about spreading the news of the death of Eris, just to hide her from Notos Greyrat factions. So going with Ariel would only make Notos factions to pursue Eris more.
Interesting theories. Eris' position in court was one of a bauble. With the death of Philip and Sauros, James is fully in charge of Fittoa, but since the province had been reset to a 400-mile grassland, his wealth and income took severe hits. Eris was a member of the family, even if part of a nascent cadet branch (i.e. not the house head's direct descendant), but her only use in aristocracy was to be married off. Philip had planned for a coup in the house, with Eris becoming the next head after himself and Rudeus taking over the Notos house, but that plan went to the grave with him. So in the event Eris was found, she'd be dead weight to James and best used as a bargaining chip. Pilemon's offer was not for his own satisfaction. It was for his new backer's favor. They haven't adapted the chapter, but Asura thinks Ariel is dead. As she made her way north, an assassin killed her body double during an ambush (before getting shredded by Sylphie in turn), so rumors spread throughout the kingdom about it. Pilemon switched sides as a result. His plan was to make Eris a concubine, give a donation to the Boreas (which Alphonse hoped would be used for reconstruction efforts, rather than James' wine and beastgirls), and he'd hand her off to Darius for political favors. Darius had had his eye on Eris since she was seven, leading to her kidnapping attempt two years later. With her running off, Alphonse listed her as having perished after the disaster.
And here I go listening to season 1 and 2 reactions of y'all once again. I've listened through 3 times now, just background audio and whatnot. Fourth times a charm eh?
Sylphie 's entire aura changed and had grown. Don't ask me how I know this, but I can just sense how much Rudy is going to love his wives. He's going to live, and then he's going to live for them. Season 3 is going to be special. The story just builds on itself, so I know there's no ceiling to the heights it will reach.
Great insights as usual. Some things to think about: 1. If Rudy didn't listen to Man-God about buying food, he would have been with Ruijerd and Eris and would have met Roxy back in Wind Port. 2. If Rudy didn't listen to Man-God about going to Ranoa, he would've gone to Begaritt and met Roxy. (By this time, Roxy already knows where Zennith is and went to inform Paul) 3. Rudy didn't listen to Man-God about marrying Linia or Pursenna. Now we have Roxy.
@@StupidAnon-gn8ihYou would know in time, spoiler-free version: let's just say Man-God has is own agenda and he is not a big Roxy-Rudeus shipper. I Will leave it at that.
@@StupidAnon-gn8ih WARNING! SPOILERS! Roxy and Rudy have strong destiny to be together. Their child, Lara Greyrat, will be a savior powerful enough to defeat Man-God. Man-God can see his own future, and it's usually him standing victorious in the end. Rudy changed that.
@@StupidAnon-gn8ih My own take without spoilers: Sylphie, Linia, and Pursenna are Man-God-approved wives. The house would be full of drama, Rudy would be happy and live a satisfied life, way better than his previous. But Rudy might be stagnant in terms of skill and might not be ready for the next turning point. Now if he married Roxy first - Roxy sees his potential to reach Emperor-Tier. She would've pushed him to reach higher, and perhaps invent new kind of magic. We already saw Roxy encourage him to go to Ranoa and she also spent months writing him Beast language book. She herself reach King-tier through self study while being court magician. These 2 would make a powerful pair who would pass down their knowledge and techniques to their descendants.
Love that you notice that Rudy thinks its not a Regret yet whatever happened with Paul, his Arm, his 2nd wife and his Mom and that you discussed what would happen with that thought in mind in the future.
Im gonna say this Aisha its a lot kinder to Norne in the anime. In the Novels she didn't talk or tried to confort Norne at all, she was preatty unfaced by it. That "i know you never think before you talk" was not a playfull jab in the novels. It was an "look, Im better than you" even Rudeus scolded Aisha for that. considering that it happend a few minutes after Norne told Aisha to not hold back for their sake tells you how she feels about Norne.
@@ElyonDominus kinda haha 😅 Norne is a 9 year old girl, and is writen like a 9 year old girl. The good the bad and the ugly, she feels a lot like a real Sister while Aishe feels a lot like the little Sister from an otaku's weet dream.
@@dombright3362 10 I think. I do remember they celebrated the 10th birthday one year later but I don't remember if they miss it on the road or if Rudeus was in begarit at the time
Love the reaction its great to have a channel break down character development etc, I'm writing a story myself and love to see things like this as it helps me view things that I may have not seen
Such a good episode, but it is a bit sad they cut out Dillo the large armadillo they used like a horse on the way back from Begaritt and keep as a household pet. Ben wouldve loved him considering how much he latched onto Caravagio in s1 lol
@@luceafarul5740 oh? Hopefully they keep him then and bring it up next season and not just gloss over it. Not like he was that important, but he added to the atmosphere of the Rudy household being a growing collection of oddities by the end of the series
Translation for Season 3 PV: (Rudeus) "To protect the precious thing that has newly come into being" (The man from previous life) "I will confront the impossible"
24:00 This is a great conversation on what Sylphie meant. Rudeus had for years talked up about Roxy from the earth to the heavens, so that Sylphie was left from childhood this image of a larger-than-life magician of infinite power, grace, and wisdom. Someone superhuman who possibly couldn't grace just anyone with her presence. And when she does meet her, she sees this small, meek, utterly vulnerable young woman who can't help by lovingly gaze at Rudeus. Someone completely out of her element and just about ready to shatter from the pressure of the situation, yet willing to shoulder the blame heaped upon her. Combined with her knowledge how Rudeus respects her and how she never expected him to stay loyal to her, but he'd be loyal enough to include whomever else he gets with in the family. That made accepting her in the household easy for her.
17:50 This is considered by many people to be the halfway point for the series. We have finally wrapped up the turning point one story line and now we are ready to embark on a new story line. Season 3 has my favorite part of the story by far, i look forward to your reactions!
Loved your reaction and discussion once again the best , but i cant help but laugh at your guys predictions for the future not in a bad way i had no idea either what would follow this arc and OH BOYYYY was i not ready i think im STILL not ready to see it in animation alls im gonna say is that this next season is gonna be the best Mushoku season no questions asked
Mushoku Tensei is the perfect example of how to write a story of a person from start to finish. Anyways, season 3 is gonna be emotionally destructive. With season 3 being already in production (AND BY TEAM A) See you all in one year!
One of the dry things they left out was the division of spoils and handling of expenses from the quest. Rudeus received his share, Paul's share, half of Talhand's share (he felt he didn't contribute much) and half of Vierra's and Shierra's shares through Lilia. Three and a half shares out of nine from all the stuff from the boss room, so Rudeus is loaded right now. Add to that Roxy having a share and her desire to find work. So Rudeus' household is reaching Tony Stark levels of wealth.
Yo wtf.. I was not expecting to tear up this episode, that convo Rudy had at Paul's grave hit hard when he was thanking him for saving his life, allowing him to be able to see his wife and newborn daughter Lucie.. They really ended this episode with a BANG and this whole second season was AMAZING! The bastards even teased us with best girl Eris!! I'm super fuckin hyped for season 3! 11/10, best Isekai ever, I like ReZero, but Mushoku Tensei takes that title by a mile. 🔥🔥 Sidenote: Sylphie looks beautiful asf with her longer hair, plus W wife for how understanding and accepting she was with Roxy and Rudy 🙌 Also, Sylphie is wearing the earrings Rudy bought for her when he went shopping with Aisha that one time.
You being able to create a connection between zenith and miguardia race is absolutely mind blowing. You are going in the right direction. I won't spoil you
I'm surprised he thinks eris would not want rudeus anymore. When her last line in season 1 episode 25 was saying how she train to be enough to beat the dragon god and protect him.
12:00 In the LN, she added here that she's actually expecting Rudy to bring someone among Pursena, Linia, and Nanahoshi, especially since she got preggy as she knew she wouldn't be able to please Rudy till she gave birth. Describing to Roxy also that they got big boobas and sexy bods so she was really worried and extremely jelly even before she and Rudy got married, as she sees how close those three women are to him. So she must've simulated this kind of event in her head multiple times for her to be this calm and collected. Looking forward to S3's reactions since the big events for S2 has now passed, the next batch of bigger events shall definitely jaw drop viewers in S3.
the final scene with the season 3 announcement said something along the lines of "in order to protect my new found things precious things, I must fight the impossible" which is major foreshadowing to what goes on. get hyped for season 3 cuz it will be adapting the best light novels of the series.
the inaccurate at the end is Roxy not close to Norn yet in this season when Sylphie give birth to Rusy, Roxy are not holding hand with Norn, but prepare the healing magic if anything gone wrong just in case and Rudeus just panic
*copied from another video* some points to consider for the discussion 15:18 onwards: a) It's shown much more explicitly in the light novel that Rudeus' "love" towards Roxy is still mostly admiration, before gradually developing into genuine love rather than how sudden it feels in the anime. Probably the most important novel-only scene that shows this was a conversation where Rudeus reveals his past life (without saying it was him) to Roxy, and after some discussion Roxy helps him move on from his mixed feelings regarding the mistakes he made. b) After sleeping with Roxy, Rudeus still was intent on leaving her behind, but Elinalise lied and alluded to him that Roxy had gotten pregnant so as to further convince him into not leaving her behind. c) Sheera's point is valid based on what the anime shows, but when Roxy approached him it'd been over a week since Rudeus had eaten; he actually would have ended up dying of starvation if they left him alone. Only Roxy had seen how scared and unresponsive Rudeus became at his lowest, whereas the others had only seen the confident mage prodigy who seemed mature beyond his years. d) This is also highlighted in the final scene at Paul's grave, where Rudeus talks about how he'd just been using his past life to act mature, despite his mental age still being the same as his current life's physical age (keeping in mind that he never developed mentally past the age of 13-14 in his past life due to hiding away from the outside world).
i like that the name translation for lucy, lucie, rusy is off, because he as he said it was the first letters of their names rudy and sylphy so technically rusy it probably the most correct, but the translation makes more sense as lucy or lucie tho I prefer the simple lucy over the cie one.

The fact that we actually have a series with such a season ending and it is not the end of the series is just a wonder to me. Stories of a character growing from child to adult, getting a family and children of their own is one of my favourite stories and they feel so spare
I heard from my friend who is a ln reader, the next season will cover the best volumes of not just MT series but the best volumes of LN he ever read. im so fucking excited....
There’s a LOT more to the story ! So that’s some good news. I’d say another 2-4 full seasons before we reach around the end of series. It only picks up from here as well. It’s a pretty entertaining slice of life/action mix that you can turn your brain off and watch.
Very much enjoyed your reaction. Besides the conflicts you mentioned, they've also been dropping lots of mentions about the Millis church -- we've got Zenith (former cleric?) and Norn as believers, and most importantly, we've also got that series of events left over from the Eris the Goblin Slayer OAVs -- a brewing "civil war" in the Millis church between two factions arguing over the "human rights" of demons, with young Cliff as the chosen successor of one faction, and that little girl Eris saved and a female knight whose features looked kind of like Zenith on the other. (Also, while Paul is connected to the Greyrats of Asura, Zenith is connected Millis nobility; there was mention Zenith's mom was one of those calling Aisha's mom a "concubine."
They also didn't think about the possibility of Ruijerd or Orsted coming back and we still have that island in the sky.... and.... wait, everybody keeps talking about Eris, but what about Sarah (no.... don't respond to this, I'm a novel reader and know) 🤪
You need to Have faith Refugin think to all the things in MT every character have a story a goal and a meaning and almost everything have a purpose and came to have sense before or after the end

If you are anime only I think you should hear this, in the novels Sylphy wasn't this calm and collected she was emotionally devasted from inside and was very scared that Rudeus might kick her out or might leave her, after he said that he wanted Roxy to be second wife she kinda calmed down from inside, but suddenly Norn outbursted, now for the Norn portion this wasn't explained well in the Anime, but Norn was here being extremely hypocritical she forgives her father for doing the same and technically worse considering that her father technically also had Raped Lilia in their teens, not to mention that neither Sylphy nor Rudy follow Milis religion, now here I need to expand a little Norn wasn't saying all this cuz his brother cheated but cuz she was in a rage and emotional state due to loosing her father and mom in that state whenever she has faced any stress in the LNs she started to rely on her religious beliefs, for those that don't know Milis religion doesn't allow Polygamy but allows Incest, either way Norn behaves like a brat and hypocrite and later on when Sylphie handled this in the Anime she nicely calmly explained to Norn meanwhile in the Novels she told Norn to stfu in a rather scary manner and then explained to her how big of a hypocrite she sounded either way Anime has cut way too much content in the last two episodes changing almost the entire situation, also Roxy wasn't the one who pulled Rudeus, in the Novels Rudeus was the one who started the sex and pulled Roxy
@@Aman_Mondal to be fair internal thoughts mid conversation are a week point of anime as media and having her tell Norm stfu without her internal POV wold be abrupt and confusing

@filipeoliveiraladislau4533 I doubt it. You never get the impression that they met each other in the LN or anime. Plus, Sylphie would have been 4-6 years old at the time, so it's not like she would have been in a position to run into Roxy. goats of all series tbh. Genuinely so good.

In fact she's acting like her father and not like her brother at that time
Yeah, I also rememberedd that season 1 fighting practice scene of paul and rudeus
And then the IMMEDIATE turnaround of Norn mirroring *Paul* by (trying to) beat the shit out of Rudy the very next day during sword practice as a way to take out her anger.
Norn really is just a fun jumble of Rudy and Paul's characters.
@@cpMetis She's also got some Zenith in her, with her "you shut up" to Rudy just like Zenith shutting Paul up back when his cheating came out.

40:03 oh boi💀💀💀💀💀These moments are one of the reason that I like this channel
I like that while Norn was not 100% in the right saying that, part of it because of her religion and part of it because she was lashing out her grief of Paul's death as well there, she did have a point in being angry as well.
Sylphy was great there, she understood the situation, admitted that if she was in Roxy's place she would do the same (we know she would 100% do that if it was to help Rudy since she saved him once by doing that already) and of course, she knows her husband, she grew with Paul who had 2 wives and later with Ariel, so she knew something like that could happen.
I'm glad things were solved the way they were and everyone was happy at the end (even Norn, who during the delivery was with Roxy there)
I wonder if in season 3 Rudy's inner voice will become the present one instead of the past one, it would make sense since there is all that thing about moving on, etc.
people forget that Sylphy go educated on the Greyrat house.

I'm glad you guys haven't been broken by the latest episode. The next season is literally gonna be peak.

Kidding.
31:48 this is why I like watching your reactions, so much insight it almost feels like you did actually read the novel 😂

Holy shit, you guys never fail to surprise me with the depth and understanding of your analysis. The number of times you two have taken the smallest details and perfectly understood themes that haven't even been introduced yet is insane. I absolutely love to see it.
(Spoilers below):
Ben's statement during the discussion about Mangod's predicted regrets was insane.
Great reaction!
This episode hit!
11:36
In the original story, Silphy says to Norn.
"Norun, could you please be quiet for a moment?”
"You've been going too far. I've never said anything against it."
I pictured her saying that with the tone used in the anime. Not that she was snapping at her, but gently saying firm words.

Great insights as usual. Some things to think about:
1. If Rudy didn't listen to Man-God about buying food, he would have been with Ruijerd and Eris and would have met Roxy back in Wind Port.
2. If Rudy didn't listen to Man-God about going to Ranoa, he would've gone to Begaritt and met Roxy. (By this time, Roxy already knows where Zennith is and went to inform Paul)
3. Rudy didn't listen to Man-God about marrying Linia or Pursenna. Now we have Roxy.

This is why the reactors stop reading and therefore interacting with the commenters.
Incredible voice acting from Norn's VA
Thank You for your reactions and discussions. Love your reactions, hope you can continue the hard work.
Norn is what happens when you convince a person that Santa is real and they get militant but they're still a kid.
@@ElyonDominus kinda haha 😅
Norne is a 9 year old girl, and is writen like a 9 year old girl.
The good the bad and the ugly, she feels a lot like a real Sister while Aishe feels a lot like the little Sister from an otaku's weet dream.
9? But she missed her 10 birthday on the road i don't remember but i believe that she's 5 years younger than rudeus so around 11
You can see his head in the frame where rudy is in the house with Sylphy and the crew just arrived at the house
@@luceafarul5740 oh? Hopefully they keep him then and bring it up next season and not just gloss over it. Not like he was that important, but he added to the atmosphere of the Rudy household being a growing collection of oddities by the end of the series
Translation for Season 3 PV:
(Rudeus) "To protect the precious thing that has newly come into being"
(The man from previous life) "I will confront the impossible"
This season was incredible. I will miss your videos about MT
Y'all have crazy Intuition, and that's the main reason i am back every week
All I gotta say is get ready for season 3, it’s gonna be absolute cinema, probably the best one
Sidenote: Sylphie looks beautiful asf with her longer hair, plus W wife for how understanding and accepting she was with Roxy and Rudy 🙌 Also, Sylphie is wearing the earrings Rudy bought for her when he went shopping with Aisha that one time.
Maybe it's just something from my country but the word "you'll regret it" can be used as a threat.
You being able to create a connection between zenith and miguardia race is absolutely mind blowing. You are going in the right direction. I won't spoil you
3:13 that fucking Foreshadowing is insane 💀
You guys really are the goats when it comes to mushoku reactions, I hope to see yall when season 3 comes out! Until then😁
In the light novels, the Badigadi and Ruijerd reveal doesn't happen until the last few volumes.
Yea, though his gives more context on why Badigadi is just gone as I don’t think they said that in the anime.
And whats up with that? I though they hate each other
@@sonorus8813 LN stuff
The third season will be something incredible. It's definitely worth the wait
It's amazing how much of a mom Sylphie became before ever giving birth, haha. I guess having the little sisters around gave her some practice.
They don't read comments bro. You don't have to elaborate or spoil anything - they'll never see it.
the final scene with the season 3 announcement said something along the lines of "in order to protect my new found things precious things, I must fight the impossible" which is major foreshadowing to what goes on. get hyped for season 3 cuz it will be adapting the best light novels of the series.
"Rudeus Greyrat. I hear you settled down in Sharia and started a family."
Youre one of the few creators that rememebred that Paul said the same thing to Rudy about having a sword.
the inaccurate at the end is Roxy not close to Norn yet in this season
when Sylphie give birth to Rusy, Roxy are not holding hand with Norn,
but prepare the healing magic if anything gone wrong just in case
and Rudeus just panic
FINALLY WAS WASTING FOR UR GUYS REACTION
As long as youre not Nanahoshi youre welcome here~

some points to consider for the discussion 15:18 onwards:
a) It's shown much more explicitly in the light novel that Rudeus' "love" towards Roxy is still mostly admiration, before gradually developing into genuine love rather than how sudden it feels in the anime.
17:55 well acctually it was meant to be the end of the series but author saw how popular book has become and wrote additional volumes
Damn so he wasnt going to wrap up Eris story or Nanahoshi or anything about Orsted Mangod etc? Well atleast he set up plenty of things to write about would have left so many things as a one off like Perugius
@@deathitself6985 well this is Rudeus'es story in a first place after all. But the world is developed so much that other stories can be added later
I can't wait to see yall reactions to season 3 being a Light Novel reader. Also watch season1 episode 23 again to get an Idea of the Eris situation.
The fact that we actually have a series with such a season ending and it is not the end of the series is just a wonder to me. Stories of a character growing from child to adult, getting a family and children of their own is one of my favourite stories and they feel so spare
season 3 confirmed
I heard from my friend who is a ln reader, the next season will cover the best volumes of not just MT series but the best volumes of LN he ever read. im so fucking excited....
There’s a LOT more to the story ! So that’s some good news. I’d say another 2-4 full seasons before we reach around the end of series. It only picks up from here as well. It’s a pretty entertaining slice of life/action mix that you can turn your brain off and watch.
Bro season 3 is gonna have red wedding levels of anticipation from the LN readers 😂😂
They also didn't think about the possibility of Ruijerd or Orsted coming back and we still have that island in the sky.... and.... wait, everybody keeps talking about Eris, but what about Sarah (no.... don't respond to this, I'm a novel reader and know) 🤪
シリーズ通してAutoSaveのリアクションが1番好きだったから、3期が来たらまたリアクションして欲しいです😊😊
You need to Have faith Refugin think to all the things in MT every character have a story a goal and a meaning and almost everything have a purpose and came to have sense before or after the end
This is why sylphie the best girl in this series 💗
“What his mitive is” finaly man gods motives ar euknown
The crazy part is. This is still just getting started. The story gets even better. Turning point 4 is a soul Crusher.
