@@edenassos sorry mister engineer, but the list of reason why such a vehicle wouldnt be mass produced and wouldnt be viable is beyond your, and sorry, "engineering skills" it seems. thing is the more moving parts the more it is easy to have problems, a tank less well armored than a abram and 3 times the cost when it is less effective THEN A FUCKING ABRAM IN THE FIRST PLACE wouldnt be great in any way. and thats just the cost because this thing would probably be powered by electicity giving the fact that the size of the vehicle wouldnt allow for a proper gas engine of any kind with the a correct fuel amount, and thus i can only estimate the cost to be singnificantly higher than a abram which as been produced in mass since the 70's. i wont elaborateon all the other reasons why the vehicle wouldnt work but there ya go, the roots of things! please THINK like a engineer and not a random youtube commentator.

I have an issue with the tires, I don't think at 3:14 the tires could just lift like that. I could see damage over the friction and weight could be a problem getting that tank up on those wheels. What would be cool is to have the tank be able to move in a multi directional. Have you seen Ghost in the Shell. Those tanks seem a little more simplistic and at the same time functional. I like the design though. Pretty cool.

while the model itself is pretty well done, the actual usability of this design is abysmal, theres no reason to cover the missiles like that, missiles arent covered on several platforms, and here all it does is limit the human operators visibility, getting in and out looks like a massive pain in the ass. the wheels are way too small for any meaningful usability, and multi-tracked designs look cool, but are generally inferior to full tracked designs. While I will admit I have also made some "ultimate ground vehicles" they practically dont make sense. Feels more like how many guns we can stick on this thing, rather than is it worth it. Again though, as a model, very nicely done

there was no info on power supply, engine, and armor thickness. I doblt this thing can protect itself from anything over "small arms fire" but I enjoy the idea of a tank that can corner peek indoors. The problem is that this thing is so situational and niche it's probably not worth the cost. not to mention training and operational disorientation.

  • @riku3716

Including space for a pilot despite remote control etc. increases flexibility and helps if there is lot of jamming etc. but also takes away major advantage of unmanned vehicles in not needing space for a human. The same still applies, with batteries, coolant, motors, guidance systems, motor controllers and sensors. Granted, motors are more compact, but realistically you'd probably be better off with a standard 6/8 wheel chain driven tank drive. Smaller transmission, less complexity, lower cost, easier operation, easier code, at the cost of a marginally lower mobility in certain situations (offset by human operator mobility).

This strikes me as a very underrated design. It's vulnerable, yes, but given the fact that it's roughly the volume of, say, a pickup truck (albeit much heavier than one, hypothetically), I would actually expect as much. Setting aside the vulnerability, however, what I see here is a VERY versatile craft that you could deploy practically ANYWHERE. It's practically the foot soldier of war-based vehicles, which would be perfect for urban warfare, guerilla warfare, STEALTH warfare, maybe not ideal for open fields or anything of that nature though... The limited anti-vehicular capabilities are a bit on the underwhelming side, plus a few hypotheticals in the design seem to blatantly ignore the concept of vehicular mass, but other than that, it's actually brilliant...

    Очень эффектно! Но неэффективно!

    2.Запас хода? Под вопросом.

This looks to me just to be an early Halo (the video game) armor, just more complex and less human. If you are going for small anime mec this is a good start but there is too little on the thing. What this "Sokhumi" carries could be carried by under a conservative estimate 4/5 people and more liberally 7/8 people; a relatively small squad which ever estimate you chose. The "Sokhumi" has [in order] an AT missile, which can be carried by one man and can have more ammo than the presumably two shots shown (carried by the squad) and can (depending on the weapon system) be more adaptive/carry more than the loaded ammo types and have other firing modes. Smoke grenades can be carried by unit member and fired from a rifle mounted launcher or from a designated grenade launching small arms system.
What ever interested governments would rather just pay the funeral expenses of a few dead service members then pay the day to day cost of one of these units; the only real advantage "Sokhumi" units have over a small similarly equipped squad is the (when manned) risk of only one service member being a risk as opposed to a squad.

When the Russians watch the Tank Police anime.... But, in all actuality, instead of the fixed package consisting of all the weapons shown, The individual weapons need to be completely removable to provide a mission specific alteration. Want patrol duty, then drop the 40mm and 50cal/12.5mm and the rocket launchers and add a 2nd 7.62mm MG. Want light anti-vehicle mission, go against light mechanized infantry. Ditch the 7.62 MG and go with the 50cal and 40mm. Anti-armor? Plug in the light MG and add more rocket launchers. Civilian missions are also possible with this. Ditch the weaponry and add flame suppression for search and rescue of buildings or downed aircraft. The weapons mounts could be fitted with connections to accept gurneys and pods to transport injured persons to safety and medical assistance. It would be tremendously useful in fighting forest and wild fires over rough terrain. There are many possibilities for equipment such as this, and not all applications would be of a military nature. I say continue to study and develop the concept.

In my opinion, armoured vehicles will become more and more automated or remotely operated. Compact, faster, highly maneuverable and flexible tactical vehicles, capable of fast, coordinated, precise and decisive attacks, will probably be the most efficient and rational way to go.

Mass production of much, much cheaper ATVs, SxS width, with machine gun mounts and 2 out of 10 with 4 Javelin mounts, obstacle avoidance, waypoint destination progammable, artificial intelligence, motion and infared detection and fire at will ability used enmass of 100 to 300 at a time, on suicide missions, at night, to punch a hole in an enemy line and, if any are left, to proceed deep into the rear sowing panic, all without a single soldiers life at risk is, I think, a very good idea that could be a game changer. Should be able to travel 100 miles on a tank of a gas/hybrid engine with all having waypoints ( many with different routes of getting to the waypoints) put in at the 100 mile mark, so that, in case some make it through, the most efficient use will be made out of them as they continue deeper behind enemy lines killing as they go.

i mean its a good tank or APC concept but in reality those tracks would be the main target by infantry and the main components are too exposed to the outside environment and mostly its way too complex like imagine trying to repair that thing.

I don't know it's purpose, and I know less of how the materials hold up or how much engine you can fit into that little thing alongside ammo for two machine guns. But what I can give you an opinion on is that one or two well placed large caliber shots can mess up those fancy hydraulic piston cabin real quick. Even if I'm wrong, this can fail in more places. Stop trying to do everything at once and have multiple variants for different purposes in a squad. You know, like humans do.

Looks like a fancy coffin to me.
    There’s no substantial armor
The tracks don’t look like that can go over anything that isn’t paved
If it’s electric the battery getting it will be game over
You need a PhD to pilot the damn thing
There’s nowhere to store ammo or reload it easily
    Looks cramped as hell
An IED Hell even a toe popper would blow the crap out of it
And finally I can’t see a single job that will do well, not anti-aircraft not antitank not anti-personnel unless they’re in a middle of a field you can’t clear building with it and I bet the moment it hits mud or sand it will cease to function.

... The fact that I actually have a fictional tank design (VERY science fictional, as in utilizing many small-ish RTGs for engine power (each wheel of the track is powered by an encased pair of them to accommodate for the expected low output) and plasma-based weaponry (takes up the entirety of the turret to supply two cannons) that's ALSO called "The Rook" has me slightly uncomfortable...

@@user-yz2yu5kr4v Do- ... Do you not know what RTGs are? Wait, right, I should probably assume not since- Right... RTGs (or Radioisotopic Thermoelectric Generators) are not necessarily limited by distance, but by lifetime, because they're essentially a PASSIVE variant to nuclear energy compared to the ACTIVE reactors you may well be aware of. They're also safer and MUCH more compact as well, you could practically make them whatever size you want, hypothetically, or at least to my knowledge. Anyways, the lifespan and shielding required in the encasing depends on the fuel source. With the source I looked up when researching this providing examples, the most ideal one that stood out to me was Plutonium (low shield + 88-year half life), though there are safer options as well as MUCH more powerful ones (though these would require a lot more shielding), but essentially this is the safest "middle ground." I'm not familiar with their usage in real life, but the concept certainly seems viable in this case.
