this is a textbook example of how to call a race for radio. Just exquisite.
I pulled this up specifically because I wanted to hear the "Foyt, Unser, Mears..." call, and low and behold I think youre the guy that actually made the call. Nice work man.

I was sitting in Turn 3 with my parents and brothers Helio had been my favorite since I was 7 years old I met him in 2002 and after the year that 2020 was not being able to be at Indy then and then losing my grandma in late 2020 I broke down crying when he came across the line for the win so glad there was fans there to witness his 4th win I've now seen 3 of his 4 wins in person

Gage, I have to say that I have been blessed to see 11 of the 16 wins of the 4 Time winners! Yes, I have seen AJ win his 4th Al Sr win his 3rd and 4th along with Rick and Helio winning all 4 of their races in person!

as someone who has done a LOT of radio broadcasts in other sports, imo there is not a higher compliment someone can give a radio play by play announcer than this right here: and I could not agree more.
