I never got it straight as to which key switches are the hardest to push. I grew up pounding typewriters and I was fastest on the IBM Selectric. In fact, I worked for IBM repairing Selectrics at one time. I was fast because the keyboard gave the best physical feedback. I want a mechanical keyboard with the greatest resistance (hardest) to push but I can't understand, for sure, which key switches will get me closest to the feel of a Selectric. Which (color?) switches give the most resistance to typing please?
3:47 if you like a small tactile bump, go with the pewters or cotton candy switches, don't say cherry MX brown or blue. (gateron are MX compatible and are referred to as the same name.) The market is very much not for the average consumer but for a keyboard enthusiast or hobbyist, so do not buy it because the features you most likely will find overkill, I mean, who would ever hot swap out for blue switches?!
if it would be wireless i probably would get it but for this price idk i prefere the LK67 or TM680... btw i dont get why everykeyboard has leds but no backlit keycaps... thats just distraction shouldnt the puprpose of the leds be to light up the letter on the keycap LOL
My thoughts exactly on all of those things. I have a wireless TM680 and I love it. I do wish it had a really nice aluminum case and maybe throw in gasket mount.
They do have it in ISO, although just barebones so you'll have to bring your own keycaps. It's $149. You can pick from assembled with switches and keycaps or barebone, ISO or ANSI, with knob or without.
To me it's so weird that in 2022 some UA-camrs STILL only present imperial numbers and specifications. Talk about missing out on attracting the clearly larger market; most of the world. 😂
Have you ever typed on a mechanical keyboard? It really makes a huge difference when you type. I also never understood it until I got my first mechanical keyboard. I started with brown switches which is a great introduction to mechanical keyboards, then tried blue clicky switches later and never went back to tactile. With noise-canceling headphones and working from home, the noise doesn't bother me or anyone else. There's also Unclack on Mac, a free app that mutes your mic while you type so you can take notes in meetings without anyone hearing the clicky noise.
Same. I first got the Keychron K1 with Blues but they were just way too clicky. I watched some videos online and I've come to love the sound of a more muted tocky key. So I sold my K1 and got a K3 with Optical Browns. To me it just sounds so much more satisfying and not annoying in any way
I made the mistake of buying a Keychron K7. What I received was NOT wireless (no dongle included) and, when connected by USB cable, many keys did not work. When I asked Keychron for an RMA, they demanded that I send them a video proving that I had not falsified the results of their keyboard test. Keychron has ignored all my subsequent requests for an RMA and a refund. There are many reputable companies making keyboards. Before buying anything from Keychron, think! Do you want to give your money to a company that treats its customers this way?
I don't get it. What happened to you. You were mac king, i subscribed you for your mac love not this sponsored ads or something else, you got subscribers due to mac tips, your channel name is mac, post something on MACs
Your presentation was very nice in this video! However, as far as the product goes, I wouldn’t be the least interested in it! Not at all! I have absolutely NO intent on ordering one of those keyboards. Just not for me! Thanks anyway! Peace.
Thanks Jeff! I was having trouble changing the static color and your advice made my day!
it's amazing how far Keychron has come. This board looks legit
The q2 is indeed an awesome board. Just prefer the form of the q1 more :) Good content :)
wow! i might get this keyboard with brown switches
Ive never seen so many reviews for one keyboard within hours of each other, Keychron taking over UA-cam today lol

they probably just sent a bunch of free keyboards out for sponsorship/review
@@PressGaneyLive how else r they gonna get the board for review before its being sold?

That’s why they are out of stock now.
I lost it when he put blue switches lol
Jk love the content
fr LOL
Great video. Are macros depended on VIA software or it is recorded into firmware?
they're stored on the keyboard itself, all settings carried over if you plug it into new device, that's how VIA work

Blue, imo
if you buy the barebone one, does it come WITH the cables and all that stuff?
bro, i jjst bought it and i put the gateron black ink v2 in it with domiky keycaps in it and man oh man does this sounds good
I got my q2 today but for some reason my backlight doesn't turn on.
Can ou remove the knob on this board?
damn i just got my hot swappable k6. there really needs to be more mechanical mac keyboards. keychron is doing all the heavy lifting here
how is a keyboard mac specific ? Im confused
@@dedelabinouze5110 it comes with command, option, and mac function row. also there's a switch that flips between mac and windows layout.
I can't say why I liked the mx blues at one point. Not a clicky fan anymore.
I like everything about mine, except the fact that it keeps randomly dying due to static discharge when touching the all-metal case.

Blue switches are only for people who grew up using type writers or skinning people and wearing their skin like a suit.
nice bro, no soundtest
Does the clicking sound turn off?

Got to agree. Great video but those numbers were ??? to me.
After replacing with Zilents, and see Blue here...
🤣
it would be dope if there was a macro online for switching between speaker and headset because i couldnt find one. (for pc)
Clicky switches ftw. I swapped the gateron blues for Kailh box jades and I've never looked back.
❤️✨💯
No BT?
Exactly… what era they they think it is?
Add a type c Bluetooth adapter if it's something you really need

k6 comes with bluetooth. get this one if you want the knob in my opinion. k6 is already pretty good.

Clutch
I had to stop when you put in blue switch’s. Hahaha sorry
Blue switch is not tactile, blue switch is clicky. Brown switches are tactile. Yellow and reds are linear.
They are technically tactile as they have a little bump that clicks when you press it.
I've never understood why people enjoy noisy keyboards.
