- Chicken Foot Soup is commonly eaten in Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. Chicken feet, although it may sound weird, is enjoyed in many other countries as well (China, Malaysia, Phillipines, Mexico etc). It is very gelatinous which makes for a lovely soup base. It is also proven to have many health benefits, and most importantly ladies- it makes you look younger :). Eat some chicken feet today! (haha)
Ps...this video was filmed on a Saturday.
You will need:
2 lbs of Chicken Feet (cleaned properly)

1 cup of chopped Pumpkin
1 cup of chopped Carrots

1 medium Onion, diced
5 stalks of Chive/Scallion

1/4 cup of chopped Celery
Hot Peppers, chopped
1 cup Coconut Milk (*optional*)

This recipe was amazing! You guys have to try this. The gelatinous chicken feet was mouth watering good and added a decadent richness to the broth.
Kevin Rampersad Glad you enjoyed your first chicken foot soup experience 😉
Kevin Rampersad i'm pretty sure it wont be your last chicken foot soup. Wait till you taste pigs feet soup you will be in love ♥♡♥♡♡. Looks so delicious.
I love how you don't rely on "flavor enhancers" ie maggi soup/all purpose seasoning etc. Fresh ingredients and herbs are just the best.
I did use those maggi seasonings but my husband isn't a fan. I guess it's much healthier for the body to use natural seasonings.
@@TasteofTriniI also keep away from Golden Ray butter. That is a definite no for me. Don't like the smell of that thing at all.
I'm about to make chicken foot soup and I just came across your recipe. It looks so mouth watering and delicious. I'm going to try this now. Thanks❤
Once I saw chicken foot in the title I had to click. That soup looks absolutely delicious and we'll seasoned. Definitely going to give this recipe a try, I usually use chicken foot when I'm doing my chicken wings and white rice special.
SHADOWNINE79 Nice! It was really delicious. Your chicken and rice sounds good.
I love how easy this recipe is I love how u go step by step
Chicken feet were one of my favourite dim sum dishes in Hong Kong. I've yet to try the Trini version - either in soup or soused; something I will remedy in June for sure! This looks sumptuous! Plenty of pepper :)
Pete Thomas I was shocked to see it when I went for dim sum. It tasted stewed with 5 spice seasoning. I think you will enjoy the texture- it is very gelatinous, and yes extra pepper is needed!
Yes, Saturday is the day for soup 🍜 ❤️❤️😊
Exactly what I was looking for on this rainy fall nigh in New York.. a taste of home 🫶🏾 soup is bubbling I can’t wait to enjoy thanks for the inspiration

lisa maharaj Thanks for watching!
Always... :)
Thanks for this
How do you get the channa to that consistently?
Looks absolutely delicious 👍👍hmm kevin waxed poetic over the wife cooking ☺☺ To avoid the banana darkening I normally boil them separately then add them with the dumplings..so you can try it
Karmini Parsan Thanks! Yeah he have rel lyrics. It was his first time tasting chicken soup. Honestly, it was completely green but while it cooked, it looked and smelled like it was ripe. After the soup was finished, it was normal though.
Your recipes r great try adding a little lemon to the water to prevent the green fig from getting dark.
Nice soup
It's also a traditional dish among people in the south of America ("Soul Food").
Do you ever brown the chicken feet with carmelized sugar like your other soups?
Yup Saturdays was gut cleanser day. Aka soup day
My children love soup thick with baby dumpling, also love Pig feet soup in d pressure cooker, lunch in 20 mins
Lilly andrews Nice! I never ate had pig's feet, something else to try.
Hi reshmi did u soak d channa b4 u put it to boil wit d dhal an how long did d channa an dhal take to boil tanks reshmi cud u ansa now Cuz I want to go an make now for lunch it looks yummy
Hey, sorry for the late response. I boiled them separately. The channa takes 30 minutes to pressure cook and the dhal takes about the same time to boil. Happy cooking! Enjoy your lunch!
Kempo Kamini u can also use Channa in the tin
Thank you
That's the proper way to clean chicken feet.
You rel hungry ent lol. Girllllllllll. Looks delicious.
Kyle Boodoo Always 😂 Thank you!
Taste of Trini I real admire the effort you does put into these videos. I have seen improvements as well.

As big as I am now in my home we never had soup Saturday everyone in home doesn't like soup besides me so only when I feel to eat it I make it. Wish I had soup Saturdays tho...Looks amazing tho 😍🤤
Nikita Sookdeo That's fine, some people don't like soup. Now you can have your own tradition when you move out. Thanks for watching ☺
I'm not sure i could eat this as the chicken feet kinda resemble my tiny hands. Great recipe though. Perhaps i'll try it with beef pieces or chicken legs. Keep going. o/
Can replace the feet with any chicken you like, I use tenderloins.
Add the ingredients would be nice. I love the recipe for chicken feet soup.
Yea, the bananas my have been ripe... But nonetheless and I def trying this with fish... mmmmmm hungry ahahahaah - Happy Wednesday, Resh!

It's so good! It's optional though. I just like adding it sometimes

Kavitaramgobin Durgadeen Hahaha, I didn't make that for he cause I know he doesn't eat it but he was fass and hungry so he had no choice 😂 Now he loves it lol
Why would y boil it before. U just threw away lots of flavor and nutrients.
zazoo 2539 Just how I was taught.
Gets rid of some of the oil
The bananas were to full
that is not soup that is soup pelau coconut milk steups
Guyanese make the best chicken foot soup.
There is no need to cut the bulge of the chicken foot off.
rawshop I mentioned in the video that it's the way I was taught.
Taste of Trini Hi, can you please get me a recipe for channa roll? It’s where you grind the channa with seasoning and stuff the mixture in a tin can and steam it in water. When it’s cooled, its then sliced and fried. Indian people would know about this recipie. I want this sooo badly
rawshop I tried researching it didn't find it. I think this is what you're talking about, but the way of preparing is different. ua-cam.com/video/tRVHIPN6vl4/v-deo.html
Reshmi can't cook like Guyanese people.
Trini people can’t cook food has no tase Guyanese is the best .chicken foot
There's no competition. Everyone has their unique way of cooking.
Smh @ Sherry Persad. Wow!!!
Why you critical some one else cooking. ?
That's funny . I thought the same about Guyanese people😂
