I studied this topic from Robin's recently and it gave me a headache in my knees. Thank you for making this video. You are a saviour for medical students.
mashAllah ..... Was really Waiting for such level quality in pathology for a long time. After watching this, giant cell tumor is now very minor cell tumor for me.😆
I had gct of 11 cm on the iliac crest in 2020, when I was 26 years old. I had surgery and a hip and basin personalised prothesis. After two years it came back as lung metastasis. Thank you for explaining how this kind of tumours appear. No doctor was able to explain it for me.
Sorry to hear that. I wish you a speedy and complete recovery. The metastasis in case of Giant Cell Tumor of bone is typically benign, so fortunately, progonsis is much better.
I had one 24 years ago at end of tibia. Back then I was told it had about a 20% reoccurrence rate. Three months after surgery it returned (bigger than before, less defined, and all in a matter of one month). First surgery was bone graph, second was cement). Approx 7 months later I had another reoccurance. This time Tumor rapped around the cement and ankle-end of tibia was all cement and tumor. My third surgery was 12 months from the first, and was a BK amputation. Curios as to your experience?

What treatment did u take for lung metastatic then ? Is that benign? Plz answer
@@hruthikaparvathareddy4538yes, it was benign. No treatment. Just surgery to remove the lung nodule.
