6:45 The Crying Game is best-known for that twist, the reveal of the male parts of a character previously referred to as a girlfriend. It was unsuccessful in the UK because of its sympathetic portrayal of the protagonist, who's a member of an IRA cell. However, its themes, twists & character development, backed by a good script & good acting, make it well-worth watching.
ahh thanks for the explanation! I was a bit confused at that part 😂
@@MeganRuth In the excellent BBC sitcom I'm Alan Partridge, Alan describes the trans character as a woman with a tadger!
An excellent ep, much better than the first two.
Yes it was hilarious! However I found the first episode quite good as well :)
episode 1 was definitely better but episode 2 was the weakest of all 3 seasons
Down with this sort of thing.🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is hands down one of the funniest episodes in the whole show 😂❤
Ever since, THOSE signs are staples of Every protest in Ireland, and many British protests, too.
yes I've been told! So funny 😂
They're even seen in protests abroad. I've seen some as far away as New Zealand.
That's based on the former bishop of Galway, the late Eamonn Casey who fathered a child with an American lady. It was a huge scandal in Ireland at the time.
I didn't spot the mug before !
I love this show
1:16 A English born Canadian.
ahh I didn't know he was born in England! Thanks!
His parents were living and working in the UK when he was born in London. His father Donald Sutherland appeared in classic UK TV shows The Saint and The Avengers while living here.
@@TheYoungDoctor Yes, and Kiefer has British as well as Canadian citizenship.
@@TheYoungDoctor The classic *ITV shows The Saint and The Avengers.
It's weird to me that barely anyone says ITV when talking about ITV shows...
Yet whenever they're talking about BBC shows, they always mention the BBC.
The BBC is constantly credited incorrectly for shows they have nothing to do with, just like how American companies try and succeed in taking credit for British shows they have nothing to do with outside of the UK.
Most of the shows the BBC get given credit for, mainly by non-Brits, are mainly period dramas and detective shows, largely pre-2000s ones when ITV dominated BBC One in the annual ratings, so it's about time ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, UKTV, Sky etc got credit for their shows outside of the UK.
I recently saw a lot of people giving the BBC credit for Sherlock Holmes (1984-1994) which is by ITV too.
Have to agree with other comment, that you are cutting far too much. For example the interactions between John & Mary (the shopkeepers), we don`t get to see their development, viewers like to see their favorite scene but they are being cut far too soon. Hope this helps you improve with the channel, you are very watchable.
Did the bit with the two old ladies go over your head .You didn't seem to understand the joke .it is a bit hard to follow the Irish words used .
Kudos for filming while you had a hangover.
Thank you! :)
@@MeganRuth You're very welcome. Luckily, I never suffer from them, myself, being the teetotal fibber that I am
@@MrRosebeing 😂 lucky!!!
Are the top tier patrons all male ?
Hello and welcome to 🏴😜
It's a shame she cut so much of it
Are you going to react to more Father Ted? i suggest the episodes KIcking Bishop Brennen and Hell. Two of the funniest.
I am! Like the other shows I'm watching, I'm reacting to each episode in order. My next Father Ted episode will be episode 4 :)
@@MeganRuth Cool.
Great stuff, much needed!! Maybe you cut a little too much...? Im also intrigued by your history of protesting...?
😂 I'm not a protester myself! Just what I've seen from other protesters :)
@@MeganRuth ah ok
Plz plz plz still game
great video Megan.anyway do enjoy the rest of your evening.
Thank you! Same to you :)
If you reacting to British things wye are you watching farther Ted which of course Irish 😊
Because it was broadcast in the UK! (I address this in my previous Father Ted videos :) )
It was made by Hat Trick & broadcast on C4. It's a UK sitcom set in the ROI.
@RaniaIsAwesome The production companies define the country. The Taken films are French.
Check out Smack the pony..I have´nt seen anyone do a reaction to this brilliant uk female sketch show!
Just stop calling it British please
