More and frequent updates where amazing. I want to main heal in season 2 and I´m really unsure what class to pick. So Updates on changes will help a lot. At the moment I´m sad that disc is in such a bad spot. I hope they do something before the final release.
Love all your content! Thanks for keeping us up to date on the changes. I plan to have my disc/holy priest ready, mw monk ready, resto shammy ready, and my evoker ready. I will pick my main after the final changes and how I feel about them.
I just learned how to play disci and got to 3k rating this season and now they destroyed everything I loved in that spec doing reroll for dps new season
Next PTR build, Resto Shaman is getting +5% base healing and + 20% acid rain damage. Hopefully, this addresses some of the concerns with resto, but the mana issue is still a problem.
Holy Pala with Beacon of Faith and Holy Shock talents actually feels kinda better since they don't have any passive healing anymore it helps to only burst heal 3 targets in regular packs and then use your cooldowns for the aoe damage. Tyr's Deliverance also fills the gap of not having enough cooldowns sometimes. I played all of this with Herald Hero talents and it felt even better.
I still believe that they need to seperate the M+ tuning from the Raid tuning, before we will see any decent class balance in M+. In fact I can't understand why they didn't start working on this allready after Legion when they saw how popular the content was getting. This would also allow them to shuffle meta, rather than this... keeping some specs dogwater, because if they tune they become OP GODS in raid (or Visa versa). I am really really hoping for decent tuning in general at least, also in the dungeons. I am hoping that they will make healing FUN again. This is the first expansion ever since TBC where I am not playing healer, and I miss it.

And the fact that they made Grove Guardians - a button that didn’t exist before df season 3 - the center of one of our two hero talents tells you everything. There is just no chance whoever is making these decisions plays the spec with any regularity, if at all.
I really hope that they make healing enjoyable again. Did a 10 city of threads on my mistweaver and got to the last boss with only 2 deaths. Bricked the key with 25 deaths. People are not using their defensives at just the right time and should not make the healers lives a living hell. Felt like quitting healing for the rest of the season because of that one boss.
Yes, healing is very punishing as there is no room for error with mechanics. Most of them if the dps miss something they die, nothing you can do and that feels bad. So depending on the dps you get healing can be good or a living hell. I started the xpac as hpally, changed to resto shaman and now finally landed on MW monk which feels the best overall right now for me.
You should definately not be playing m+ if wiping on 1 boss make you wanna quit the season. That mentality is why people think m+ is toxic. Forgot to add, ive been frustrated af myself lately. As you said, people just dont understand personal cds and barely use them. Sometimes i remind people in chat but feels like im the noob 😂 But pugging would be so much fun if people did the basics, dont need to be a 99% dps to have a successful run.
@gollese I'm still doing M+. My main dps is 2700 io and my healer is 2500. It's night and day the difference between your heart rate with a dps or a healer. I just need to step back and gear my healer more until I try pushing keys again.
I assumed that with the insurance tier, resto druid and mistweaver would likely come out on top just by their ability to spread their set bonus, however after very minor testing on ptr with a few of them, it feels like insurance is actually pretty hard to proc. I'm wondering if, because of that, classes like holy paladin will shine more once they get 4set because they can spread it to 5 people on demand rather than relying on procs from other abilities and because spending holy power will keep that on a relatively short cooldown
Hpala should one of if not the best healer when it comes to dungeon, and they manage to mess it up like this. Same with holy priest. And im playing them all.
I know I comment a lot to your videos and we don't see eye to eye on some parts of dps healing, but what do you think about them just giving holy paladin an actual real aoe heal again? Holy radiance with a 1.5 second cast. Heals the main target and up to two other targets. Only healing two other targets aside from the main target would make it not overly powerful in raids, but a huge boost when you are outside of the wings and becon of virtue cds with mass aoe dmg burst windows in five mans? This gives hard casters an aoe spell and it gives mythic plus runners a spell that doesn't feel bad. Nothing worse than looking at your meters and the highest healing spell is a single target shield that does nothing for the party during those moments, lol.
For years my 3 main healers have been holy priest, hpal and mw. Priest got dumped this season. Looking like my hpal will be dumped next season. At least i get to enjoy my monk (until they gut that in season 3, of course) It really sucks. my hpal was the first healer i actually started properly pushing on. The first healer i did 25/26s on. The very thing i liked about it was the instant cast nature of it's healing.. pushing us down a caster route will absolutely kill it for me.
Blizz is just holding out on Holy Priest because they really do love Holy Priests as is totally evident right? I know we are the absolute worst healers atm (yes worse than hpal, worse than rdruids, worse than pres evokers) on both live and ptr but I believe we are going to be getting some crazy reworks/tuning right before live hits that'll make us the meta for Season 2 for sure! I can feel it!!! (sarcasm)
Holy Priest is weird. The said they wanted to buff Prayer of Healing, yet only buff it by 40% but increase the cast time and mana cost. I don’t get Blizzard.
Yeah, they forgot to put in another 0. At this point, I'll be avoiding all the PoH and Renew talents as they suck. AND not expecting much more to happen since it looks like we are back to being completely ignored. They did manage to fix Trail of Light though which is sad because that bug was the most exciting change for us in the PTR haha.
Hand of Divinity isn’t often chosen in PvE. With the buffs to Holy Light I’d like to see the buff duration increased to 30s (now 20s) OR reset the duration of the buff after the first charge is used. Ideally this way you could use one per Beacon of Virtue cast. The two minute cd on wings is rough when we have so many high aoe group damage events per fight.
So the question is why is blizzard so confused over holy paladin? What does it take to get them to truly fix it? After watching some videos on the new dungeons in season 2 and the new raid can we really stop to hard cast spells or will we be to blame for people going down? Really like your videos and think you could have some impact on Blizzard figuring this out. I've commented several times on these concerns. Been playing pally 5 expansions but only felt competitive as a healer in 2. Really really don't want to go back to full time ret but if I do blizzard is to blame and belive that's true for a lot of pally players. Come on Blizzard can you figure it out or do you not care or hate holy pallys.
I dps on hunter and tank on druid. I enjoy them cause their simple and it allows me to concentrate more on not diying than I would playing a harder class. I'm looking at giving healing ago next patch. Is the Holy Priest still the go-to for the simplest fun healer ?? Thanks in advance
Resto sham is pretty easy too depending on the build you play. And you'd have a lot of "panick button". But yea, holy priest is the most straight forward healer and due to that, the easiest one to play imo. :)
As a Holy Paladin I'm extremely frustrated by Blizzard pushing this Holy Light bs. I HATE Holy Light. I refuse to use the damn ability stop pushing this terrible feeling ability! I've been playing HPal for multiple expansions and I'm about to swap to Mistweaver I'm so tired of the abusive relationship between HPal and Blizzard. My ilvl 600 Mistweaver does double the damage of my 626 HPal. Like... wtf???
I am sad. Loved to play my Resto Druid over many years. Stopped it with tww and do not heal any longer. No fun. Maybe I should level a monk, but it feels betrayal.
I haven't heard anything yet about flameshaper seemingly benefitting from haste, now that engulf is hasted (and Pres has many hots in raid rolling). Is Pres a haste stacker now, or like a breakpoint kinda thing? Historically, it avoids all haste on gear.
Hey mad thnx for the video. I asked this before and you answered it but I have 1 more question about sct addon. Dps numbers are ok but HP is not showing " K " any idea? and is it easy to play monk even if someone never played before? thnx
Would be nice to have some Farseer changes, been playing it in S1 though it is not the preferred choice for the rest of the player base, but with the Tier Ser bonus it is looking like another Totemic dominated season, can't remember the last time I casted a Healing Rain on CD in raid, just feels like a bad button to press as Farseer, with the new tier set that's just gonna feel even worse
If they remove rapture, I hope I get raptured. Cause that's the worst. It's like Druid's Adaptive swarm. They reduce button bloat by taking away cool abilities and leaving lame ones. I hate it.
Pres Evoker and Resto Druid feel extremely bad for me this season (and in general honestly). Pres Evoker: You have that 25 yards range, but what do you get out of it? Do you have the highest HPS in the game? Not even close. Highest DPS? No. What do you have that other healers don't? A bleed dispel, which is sometimes useful in some dungeons, but this season is completely irrelevant. It's a huge hinderance and you get nothing if you overcome it. It's no wonder that it's by far the least played healing spec this season. It needs to be massively overtuned (DF S1) for player to put up with the 25 yd range. Resto druid: You have by far the most complex dps rotation. Not only it's complex, it requires you to be in melee (so you brind ranged mechanics in melee and sometimes you can't even do dps, like 1st boss in siege). But do you have the highest dps? Not really. Maybe only in single target and if you massively outgear the dungeon and you can offensively convoke every time. So what do you get out of all this effort? Not much. I get that not all classes have the same difficulty, but these two feel overcomplex without any reward and it shows in the numbers.
All healers are awesome. Pick any of them if u enjoy the character play it don't worry about what's best. If your having fun that's all that matters. Holy PALADIN is enjoyable even being rated low in most tier lists. KSM was a blast and got it with multiple "bad specs" and im half assed at best.
just make healing rain last 15 seconds and have no cd and cast time suddenly resto shaman feels nice to play doesnt even like break the spec or smth. Or make it like last 15 seconds 10 second cd and make it like starfall kinda would fit to raining more too.
The bug with Trail of Light is that its combining with Dispersing Light, so its healing 4 people for 35% of the Heal/Flash Heal. People complain about Lightweaver but I like how I can flip flop between Spot/tank healing and aoe healing if I prepare for it. Reminds me a bit of what Chakras were supposed to be. But yeah PoH is still just too weak at the moment. They really need to remove Resonate Words. A 40% bonus to a single spell after a Holy Word is too much so the spells have to be left moderately weak to compensate. Kinda like what they did with paladins, nerfing i think divine favor and just making holy light/flash of light stronger baseline. And its still lost on me their note about Renew cuz its still a terrible HoT and nobody wasting 3 talent nodes to make it still terrible.
The bug with Trail of Light makes it the top heal. This is such a significant bug that once it gets fixed, it'll be such a big hit to us. It's hard to even say how good we are in PTR due to this. I really wish it wasn't a bug and they just let us keep it how it is in PTR into going live. We can call it Trail of dispersing light haha. 😁
@@jrosalei I think it they buffed dispersing to like 15% then that would be possibly good enough. It would be nice in dungeons and good in raid too. You could single target heal while helping with light aoe via PoM, Dispersing, and Cosmic Ripple, and then pump PoH during actual boss AoE. Could be good cuz then we get stuff to do when raid healing isnt very high, as it would just be a waste to drop sactifies and PoH during mild damage. Buuuuuuuuuuut also PoH still needs a buff to its healing imo
@@ramones1314 i just know the most exciting thing i have seen in the ptr for holy is this bug and it would be so great to have some juicy party heal like this happen for us but sadly it looks like we are back to being ignored. i can just avoid PoH and Renew in tree and pick other stuff since those things turned out to be complete failures. but this bug got me thinking how nice it is and i dont want it to be fixed.
idk man.. i want to play my hpala so bad, but blizz makes it rly hard for me to enjoy it.. and i cant w8 for late tuning. I want to begin the content with fun and not being depressed... i start to hate wow...
Tbh, I think it's just bad game design. Classes shouldn't be ranked this way: 2 viable, and the rest will just struggle the whole season... Let us actually enjoy the game with any class, that's what I'd love to see in season 2. I love Holy Priest for the class lore and the holy animations, I like the flow and spells, but it's been a huge struggle to heal mythics and I gave up around the 7-8 bracket. I've been Shadow all this season out of necessity, would love to play Season 2 with the spec of my choice, not based on what's meta. And to be clear, I don't worry about being top or S or whatever, but being able to do a +10 run like any other class vs struggling and gasping CDs all the time is a big difference. At least he boost on Holy Words seems to make a difference on PTR to me.
Taking tide totem and acg away is the wrong move if u want less keybinds go play another healing spec i felt like shaman was in a good space since the launch of tww but the direction there goin is gunna make me switch to my evoker
I don't get why mana costs for holy light are being increased, if blizz wants to make paladins use it more often. Paladin is the only healer I really struggled with mana already, especially compared to others who are between 90 and 100% all the time.
This just reminds me of dragonflights healing experience. 1 clear winner and the rest getting nerfed back while they buff damage from enemies and nerf dps... THIS is what they said was going to be different??
So funny you bring up the Jade Bond thing then they changed it literally hours ago. Good thing though, its a buff, Mistweaver is even STRONGER after the changes today. GG.
This expansion has been so bad for M+ and raid in general, is Blizzard that desperate to incentive the playerbase to dive into delves? delves are extremely boring and linear, while M+ is so punishing and unfun
also if anyone think removing ag is good because it reduces buttons to press, then it's so wrong, if shaman does not have ag, you might as well play other healers
Love the quality of life earthshield change. I wish they’d continue in that direction and make healing rain instant cast or simply last longer. It’s not a very fun spell to maintain as farseer, with the cast time and only lasts 10 sec. Totemic build fixes it, but what about our beloved farseer? Druid’s efflorescence is much better designed
even if flameshaper would be more hps in m+, personally i wouldnt play it...its already kinda hard in pugs (not in every group and also not every dreambreath) to get dreambreath rolling on all groupmembers, they now need to stack for engulf...oh my lord, thats not it :D for the set i would change it i guess, not cause VE is dangerous, just other healers can apply the tset way more often or am i wrong? personally i already do VE on others to position myself for dreambreaths and other stuff...
I use to love Paladin. But having played Shaman recently, it is so much simpler to keep a group up on demand. Holy has far too much reliance on cooldowns.
i think hpal needs a) three charges of holy shock b) holy shock should heal 1/3 of a players hp c) 1.5 min on wings d) 2 charges of wings e) merge FoL,HL and have infusion turn FoL/HL to instant cast d) 2 charges of Beacon of Virtue
Holy Paladin needs a dedicated dev that actually plays. Holy Light is already expensive, long cast, and it doesnt outperform flash of light. I hate that they're increasing the cost. If holy lightnis going to cost so much and take so long, it should damn near be double the healing of flash of light. I really want it to be a good m+ spec but im a bit worried.
For real. If you run moment of compassion and cast flash of light on your beacon, it hits for 100k more than holy light. It’s faster and costs less too.
You never really should be using Holy Light anyway. I don't. Holy shocks, flash of light, beacon of light and your light of dawns & with Herald of the sun Eternal Flame, its plenty enough. I never felt the need to press Holy light myself.
I really just hope its going to be an solid A+ tier. Loving MW but i dont want to trade a well rounded spec in each season for one meta season and end up a C or D tier healer after.
You are thinking wrong imo. Every healer should be "meta" and able to do the same content. Monk shouldn't be above other healers like disci priest is actually. It's a nightmare to have spec that strong.
@Kirk666Hammett my bad in communication, ofc that would be nice and as other guy pointed out S3 DF was decent there was 3 viable healers close to each other monk/disc/rdruid
Preservation evoker tier set bonuses are awful. I hope they completely rework/change it. Whether it's tuned favorably or not (which from what I understand it's definitely not), the play style around it is terrible.
The Fluid Form change is pretty bad tbh. If they wanted to prevent cancelaura macros abusing haste from human form and mastery from moonkin, they could've just implemented the Lycara's Meditation change and call it a day...but noooo, they had to overcook and now people won't want to go into bear as a defensive because the first cast that should shift them back into moonkin will be a "dry" one, without any form. Bear is already a dps loss defensive, which is really ridiculous in itself, but now that there's further dps loss aspect to it, people won't be too keen on pressing their defensives.
As a preservation main myself, im quite upset about the tierset situation. The season 1 tierset is so good and has good skill expression. Season 2 toer just seems boring aswell as annoying. Always having to verdant embrace others is sos bad for gameplay. Especially with how echo season seems to be getting more complex with more shit to embrace into. Really contemplating of just maining something else for s2
I never take these early impression ptr videos all to serious. Far too many players pre-judge what to main at the earliest drop of information and yet never if rarely ever decide to wait for new info.
Like im fine with no rapture..ye its strong talent..but no smite reducing cdr is something thats fucked up whole spec. its like our smite is pointless now until its void blast and does kinda nice healing, but play mind blast/penance is bad cause sometimes we have to hold min blast into big aoe so we can heal.
Content creators are problem for beta testing timer, you are loudest but always not reprezent major of wow players. Its same problem exp to exp and patch to pach. Blizz need to work with connections to players but not only streamers, fun for you will not be for others and we stand in spot like now, worst moment of M+ from they have be made.
fuck.... meta shit! Just redesign the game. It's not LoL. talking about "fun" and have a look on the game play doesn't fit for me together. AOE, healing, dispelling, dmg making, cc... no one have fun by playing a healer. And your complain is the toolbox is not big enought?
Monk in a good spot? Haha, that definitely wont last. Monk community is too small to make as much of a noise as disc if they're not meta. I predict huuuuuge buffs to disc and nerfs to MW in the weeks to come.
MW was dominant through all of DF S3, recieved a considerable nerf and still was A tier through S4 DF and S1 TWWW and the spec its really well designed nowadays. They could easily be a top 3 healer in S2 even if they nerf it.
In the nicest way possible, EVERYONE knows you don't like evoker range, you mention it in *every* video. I get that's your opinion on this topic, everyone does. I think it's time to just let it go and stop bringing it up. Genuinely, not trying to be mean, but I've never once heard a player in game complain about it.
Let me know if *you* would like to see a ~weekly update video on state of healers in PTR (but hopefully shorter versions) 🤔
Would be great!

Maybe I should level a monk, but it feels betrayal.
I really hope Farseer is not the way to go in S2. I don't want to hard cast rain ever again.
They need to make healing rain more fun for Farseer, especially after playing so much Totemic
I play Farseer and it may be because I’ve been maning Shamman since wrath but I don’t like totemic play.
Dps numbers are ok but HP is not showing " K " any idea?
and is it easy to play monk even if someone never played before? thnx
What is The best healer For ses 2 For m+ and raid ?
I love hearing about where things are at. An I hope the buff or give some more love to resto shaman. An I agree I want farseer to be good.
Fluid form should definitely be baseline. Learnt as a class skill as you level.
I hate it.
Glad xp disc priest here in pvp, its going to be hot garbage with the removal of rapture
I thought it was the least played because everyone goes aug?
@@jrosalei not being able to play in visage form and range which can be an issue in pugs and also being very cooldown based healer
I never been so afraid to click on pally section before
All healers are awesome.
Anytime I comeback to the game and make a choice of what to play, there is always a video that says i made the wrong choice...
Yeah, i have a bad feeling for my beloved rShaman, but let's wait until we have some more testing and tuning...
I really hope they make my shammy stronger
GG.
Resto Druid. So much is made of the fluid form interactions and then they move it to a capstone talent .
This expansion has been so bad for M+ and raid in general, is Blizzard that desperate to incentive the playerbase to dive into delves? delves are extremely boring and linear, while M+ is so punishing and unfun
MW Monk will prob be nerfed to the ground by time it goes life JUST bcs its me playing it 😂😂
also if anyone think removing ag is good because it reduces buttons to press, then it's so wrong, if shaman does not have ag, you might as well play other healers
No question about prist and monk
Love the quality of life earthshield change.
I wish they’d continue in that direction and make healing rain instant cast or simply last longer. It’s not a very fun spell to maintain as farseer, with the cast time and only lasts 10 sec. Totemic build fixes it, but what about our beloved farseer?
Druid’s efflorescence is much better designed
I agree. Healing rain/acid rain needs to have a longer uptime like efflorescence
even if flameshaper would be more hps in m+, personally i wouldnt play it...its already kinda hard in pugs (not in every group and also not every dreambreath) to get dreambreath rolling on all groupmembers, they now need to stack for engulf...oh my lord, thats not it :D
for the set i would change it i guess, not cause VE is dangerous, just other healers can apply the tset way more often or am i wrong? personally i already do VE on others to position myself for dreambreaths and other stuff...
I use to love Paladin. But having played Shaman recently, it is so much simpler to keep a group up on demand.
Holy has far too much reliance on cooldowns.
i think hpal needs
a) three charges of holy shock
b) holy shock should heal 1/3 of a players hp
c) 1.5 min on wings
d) 2 charges of wings
e) merge FoL,HL and have infusion turn FoL/HL to instant cast
d) 2 charges of Beacon of Virtue
Whoever took over RDruid in DF has no idea what they’re doing and it’s absolutely tragic.
Flame shaper is so much more fun than chronowarden. So im glad its getting buffs.
Just let holy pally be. Stop making us have to cast in melee and nerfing us. We need more buffs and stop fing with mana.
Monks getting invited to groups before GTA6
I see a lot of Monks in above+13 keys
@@krystur2072 Perma refuse for +12 with all 11 timed as monk heal
Wonder if they will allow mistweaver to be meta ateast for season, cause i am playing since Sl and they never had chance so far
DF S3?
@@rockurox oh you are right, not far from disc and rdruid but indeed meta, guess i missed it when it wasnt dominating by huge margin
Rdruid & Hpal still suxx. ty cya next expansion or on gta6
They could just buff resurgence in m+ only or something
As a preservation main myself, im quite upset about the tierset situation.
The season 1 tierset is so good and has good skill expression.
Season 2 toer just seems boring aswell as annoying. Always having to verdant embrace others is sos bad for gameplay. Especially with how echo season seems to be getting more complex with more shit to embrace into.
Really contemplating of just maining something else for s2
Farseer has seen basically no play at all in PVP, Raid and Mplus. It's unacceptable tuning and needs buffs.
excited for frost mage and not havingg to heal anymore XD... no more wasted fingers of frost procs lookin like a way better time XD
I never take these early impression ptr videos all to serious. Far too many players pre-judge what to main at the earliest drop of information and yet never if rarely ever decide to wait for new info.
Like im fine with no rapture..ye its strong talent..but no smite reducing cdr is something thats fucked up whole spec. its like our smite is pointless now until its void blast and does kinda nice healing, but play mind blast/penance is bad cause sometimes we have to hold min blast into big aoe so we can heal.
preservation evoker set should be changed
healers should heal, tanks should tank and dps should dps...this focus on healers having to do dps is silly.
hopium this is only week one, when they fked up every other time...
Yes please
Hpal ❤
Its so unlucky for both you and jack to release healer videos just before the jade bond changes. scammed by blizz
after long last, my time as MW main has come…
In other words, run 4 mw for mythic
17 more videos later we'll have a healer main choice reveal in which this channel magically chooses the most op healer as their main for the season.
I don't even know what they're doing with both priest peccs
Disc priest is one of the reasons why tier sets are bad for the game.
how to ruin disci lel
Content creators are problem for beta testing timer, you are loudest but always not reprezent major of wow players. Its same problem exp to exp and patch to pach. Blizz need to work with connections to players but not only streamers, fun for you will not be for others and we stand in spot like now, worst moment of M+ from they have be made.
Bring back Glimmer???
I was already settled on maining MW three months ago. Now people will think I'm fotm rolling if it becomes meta :|
who cares what people think? only thing matters is you have fun in a game you pay to play❤
Man y beginner WoW player or what? xD i try the Shaman 11.1 patch and very good! :P U dont have skill bro this is the problem.
fuck.... meta shit! Just redesign the game. It's not LoL. talking about "fun" and have a look on the game play doesn't fit for me together. AOE, healing, dispelling, dmg making, cc... no one have fun by playing a healer. And your complain is the toolbox is not big enought?
Holy paladin is ass, I dunno how people think it’s good.
Monk in a good spot? Haha, that definitely wont last. Monk community is too small to make as much of a noise as disc if they're not meta. I predict huuuuuge buffs to disc and nerfs to MW in the weeks to come.
No
it doesnt matter how big community is, most of the m+ pusher are metaslaves, so 90% of disc now switch into mw monk
Lol healers wanted to heal and blizzard did that seas1 TWW and you giys cried
lol Enjoy your 1 hour queue waiting for a healer.
Need to create an S+ tier for the continuous, unnecessary mistweaver buffs.
Unnecessary? MW's have only been relatively good in high end pushing one season out of the last 12 or so, wake up
@ oh ok
