RLC 410 NEED TO UPGRADE FIRMWARE CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE I CAN FIND THAT FIRMWARE?
Reolink.com. Click on the Support link, then choose Download Center.
I just bought one to try. For the money it’s unbeatable. Was looking at Ubiquiti but it was just too expensive for a one camera install. I’ve loaded the latest firmware to the camera and tested in the workshop so far. Installation comes in a week.
Hi Eisbar, Thanks for commenting. I think you’ll be happy with what you get for the value. Like I said, I have several complete Reolink systems out in production, small commercial environments. They’ve been rock solid.
One of the best cameras in the market almost I'm using the cameras five years without any problem the price of it good and quality the best , I'm using the application on my mobile and even I connected to other system(another company NVR) and working fantastic .
Hello Vaskain! Thanks for sharing your experience. Reolink products do provide good quality at a reasonable price, making them a great value. They just keep working. Have a great day.
Hm I got this camera with sd card. Can't go over 5000 bitrate or the video files get corrupted....
Hi Peter, thanks for commenting. The problem you describe could be a result of the SD card. The first thing I would do is try a different card. Make sure it’s a high card with class 10 rating. Have a good day. Good luck.
@@QuikTechSolutions Hi yeah I tried another card a samsung endurance card that is made for this kind of cameras but that does not help. Everything above 30fps and 5000 bitrate might get corrupted. Not all files but some of them. And the higher bitrate the higher chance of error. Guess i need to return it and get it exchanged. It should be able to save a 30fps 8000 bitrate to a card right?
Technically yes. The max bitrate for the hi-res stream (clear) is 8192. Just curious, are you using .264 encoding profile?
@@QuikTechSolutions yeah I tried the high and baseline and same issue. Recording 24/7 to a pc works fine in 8000 bitrate. So its all connected to saving the video to the sd card. And files that are saved to the sd card and then uploaded to ftp has the same error. It shows up as a 30 megabits video file but it won't start. I don't know really if it's a huge difference from 5000 to 8000 bitrate though
Will the app and camera work with no internet connection? (Assume my android device is on the same network as the camera).
Hi Thanks for commenting. On your own network yes, but you lose remote access without Internet.
@@QuikTechSolutions That's what a VPN from my phone to my Edgerouter is for. Then I can block the camera at the gateway. Too many remote camera exploits out there (either hacks or manufacturer backdoors). Might be a decent topic for you actually.
Thanks this was really helpful!
Thank you! Glad you found this info helpful. Have a great day and thanks for commenting.
Hello, I recently ordered 2 RLC-410 5MP cameras. I'm wondering if they support WiFi wireless
Thanks for your reply.
Francis
Hello Franjo! Thanks for commenting. The RLC-410 5MP is a POE hard wired camera. It support not support wifi. However, Reolink does have a line of Wi-Fi cams. I have videos on my channel for the Argus 2 and the E1 Zoom, both decent wireless cams.
Good review keep up the good work 😊
Hello Bob. Thanks for commenting. Have a great day!
Hello thanks for helping, i have some questions i recently bought this camera ,i want to know if can i use a tradicional power adapter ? How Many volts, 12 volts ? I understood the only i need is the power adaptar and connect the cable to a internet Router , is it correct? I don't have the nvr can i do it just with that and get a sd card? Thanks
Do You know if there is restriction with the cable internet distance , what's the longest apropiate distance. Thank You very much
The general rule is not to exceed 100m.
I usually power these cameras using a POE switch. I’m not sure on the actual power adapter requirements. Your best bet is to check the manufacturers website for the specs.
What are you guys using for Storage for these Cameras? I want to avoid the camera storing video on the camera as if someone takes the camera they take my footage also?
Hi Chris! Thanks for commenting. Typically connect the cameras to an NVR. I use either the Reolink NVR or the Synology Surveillance Station. Have a great day!
@@QuikTechSolutions where it said FTP can I off load the footage to an FTP site?

Great job
Thank you Gerry! Be sure to check out next week’s video comparing the RLC-410 to the RLC-510A. Please subscribe, share, and give the video a like.
Does it work without an NVR ?
Yes it works without an NVR. Have a great day!
@@QuikTechSolutions Great. Thanks for your reply! Can you help me to confirm if the RLC 410 5mp supports RTSP and ONVIF without using any NVR or computer running 24/7? Because I wanna buy the RLC 410 as a standalone camera for monitoring my kids.
Yes it supports both RTSP & ONVIF. I did a comparison video between the 410 & the 510A. The specs are outlined in this video. Btw, the camera will work without an NVR. You can view it using the Reolink app.
Thanks.
@@QuikTechSolutions Thanks for your quick reply. You are amazing!
Here’s the link to the video if you wish to see the specs.

You don't show any video outside, to see the quality of the camera. Very bad camera review.
This was more of a first look, setup, app overview etc. Sorry you didn't find any value in all of the info offered up.
I agree. At one point, I fast forwarded the video to see if there was any outside footage.
