    I just bought one to try. For the money it’s unbeatable. Was looking at Ubiquiti but it was just too expensive for a one camera install. I’ve loaded the latest firmware to the camera and tested in the workshop so far. Installation comes in a week.

      Hi Eisbar, Thanks for commenting. I think you’ll be happy with what you get for the value. Like I said, I have several complete Reolink systems out in production, small commercial environments. They’ve been rock solid.

    Hm I got this camera with sd card. Can't go over 5000 bitrate or the video files get corrupted....

    • @QuikTechSolutions
      @QuikTechSolutions  3 роки тому

      Hi Peter, thanks for commenting. The problem you describe could be a result of the SD card. The first thing I would do is try a different card. Make sure it’s a high card with class 10 rating. Have a good day. Good luck.

      @@QuikTechSolutions Hi yeah I tried another card a samsung endurance card that is made for this kind of cameras but that does not help. Everything above 30fps and 5000 bitrate might get corrupted. Not all files but some of them. And the higher bitrate the higher chance of error. Guess i need to return it and get it exchanged. It should be able to save a 30fps 8000 bitrate to a card right?

    • @QuikTechSolutions
      @QuikTechSolutions  3 роки тому

      Technically yes. The max bitrate for the hi-res stream (clear) is 8192. Just curious, are you using .264 encoding profile?

    • @SperVxo
      @SperVxo 3 роки тому

      @@QuikTechSolutions yeah I tried the high and baseline and same issue. Recording 24/7 to a pc works fine in 8000 bitrate. So its all connected to saving the video to the sd card. And files that are saved to the sd card and then uploaded to ftp has the same error. It shows up as a 30 megabits video file but it won't start. I don't know really if it's a huge difference from 5000 to 8000 bitrate though

    Will the app and camera work with no internet connection? (Assume my android device is on the same network as the camera).

    • @QuikTechSolutions
      @QuikTechSolutions  4 роки тому

      Hi Thanks for commenting. On your own network yes, but you lose remote access without Internet.

      @@QuikTechSolutions That's what a VPN from my phone to my Edgerouter is for. Then I can block the camera at the gateway. Too many remote camera exploits out there (either hacks or manufacturer backdoors). Might be a decent topic for you actually.

    Hello, I recently ordered 2 RLC-410 5MP cameras. I'm wondering if they support WiFi wireless
    Thanks for your reply.

      Hello Franjo! Thanks for commenting. The RLC-410 5MP is a POE hard wired camera. It support not support wifi. However, Reolink does have a line of Wi-Fi cams. I have videos on my channel for the Argus 2 and the E1 Zoom, both decent wireless cams.

      The general rule is not to exceed 100m.

    • @QuikTechSolutions
      @QuikTechSolutions  3 роки тому

      I usually power these cameras using a POE switch. I’m not sure on the actual power adapter requirements. Your best bet is to check the manufacturers website for the specs.

      @@QuikTechSolutions Great. Thanks for your reply! Can you help me to confirm if the RLC 410 5mp supports RTSP and ONVIF without using any NVR or computer running 24/7? Because I wanna buy the RLC 410 as a standalone camera for monitoring my kids.

      Yes it supports both RTSP & ONVIF. I did a comparison video between the 410 & the 510A. The specs are outlined in this video. Btw, the camera will work without an NVR. You can view it using the Reolink app.
