    If you want to start your detailing business (or simply detail your personal cars) with no access to water, what are you going to do?
    You could take it to a self-serving car wash, run it through a car wash tunnel, etc... However, what if you wanted to do it yourself?
    In this video, the main topic is performing a wash or wash and wax without access to water by only using Optimium No Rinse.
    I wanted to make this video to point out there are plenty of ways to get the job done even if you don't have all the "right" tools and products that you'd like to have.
    Enjoy!

    I have been a religious student of your videos and the one piece of advice I've ran with is that you don't need a bunch of stuff to start detailing for yourself. I detail out of the trunk of my car. I use the customers water and power without any problem. I use basic products mostly from the dollar store or Wal-Mart. And I get results. My customers needs are always met and they turn their friends on to me. I am slowly building up because of this golden piece of advice. Thanks brother.

    Man I love what you do! It’s nice to see another detailer who isn’t so focused on paint correction. Being able to clean both the inside very well as well as the outside is something that is relevant to such a large group of car owners. Anyways thanks for the videos man! Keep up the great work

    Hey Oscar, first off thanks for all your amazing content, tips, tricks and endless support. I know you like to use Super Clean for your APC, I also love using Super Clean but only ever used it for rubber mats and pedals hahah I had no idea it was this versatile until I started watching your videos, now I'm excited to use it in more areas. My question for you is what do you use for aluminum?? You stated in this video while cleaning the wheels/tires you were using APC and that your APC is 10:1 Super Clean, in my experience Super Clean and aluminum are not compatible. Once you've diluted it does it not effect the finish or do you use a different product? Thanks in advance.

    I'm not a professional, but I watch many of your vids to learn how clean my own car. And for viewers who think you're talking too much, they can just fast forward 15 seconds. How dare ppl complain when they're watching free content.
    So anyway, what do you think about using an auto dust mop to remove dust before washing? Unfortunately my car gets parked in front of my house, so it does collect dust though I only drive it like three or four times a week. Could initial dust removal using a duster cause problems?

    • @DetailGroove
      @DetailGroove  6 років тому +2

      Yeah, I know! Haha. But that's just the world we live in :)
      If you're actually going to wash it, just wash it via a rinseless wash. I can't see the dust causing much problem in the wash process. I'd rather just wash it than use a dust mop of some sort. Or another option would be use air to blow off the dust. Or simply rinse it down with water

    • @MacAutomationTips
      @MacAutomationTips 6 років тому +1

      Yep, I do the rinseless wash using the multiple towels method. But I thought the initial wash might be better if I removed the dust first.

    hi Oscar, I have been detailing my truck and was wondering how I can keep it nice when I live on a dirt road, also I have friends in my car a lot and found makeup on the seatbelt straps any recommendation on how to remove that, thanks

    • @DetailGroove
      @DetailGroove  6 років тому +2

      It really comes down to maintenance cleaning. You can apply a sealant or take it up a notch to a ceramic coating, but it will simply come down to you washing the car to keep it clean :)

      1) The paint already has swirls and scratches. 2) The paint is not going to be polished. 3) The car wasn't that dirty to begin with. 4) I'm sure it did add very light swirls and scratches, but just anything you do will do that

    Hey. I just started my detailing business. My first client was a used car dealership owner. He had about 90 cars on his lot. I charge him 100$
    A day for about 10-15 cars a day. The second day that I was working after he paid me he said my price was to high and that I should be washing the cars for 3$ a car and be doing about 30 cars a day. So yesterday was last day washing cars for him. Because in my eye there’s no way to give a good quality wash and dry and interior cleaning for 3$ a car. What would be your suggestion for me moving forward.

    • @DetailGroove

      1) If a car has never been properly washed, waxed, or polished, what difference does it make that you take ANY precautions to reduce the amount of swirls you put in the paint if it's already trashed? 2) You can perform the same quality was with a rinseless vs traditional was method. 3) There are so many methods in the detailing industry that people do simply for the fact they've been around for a long time

      I buy most my stuff from AutoGeek or Amazon. I primarily buy Meguiars. You don't need dozens and dozens of products. This is what I use for the most part: detailgroove.co/resources/

    So what was in the spray bottle??? I'm starting a detail business. Well, adding it on to my cleaning business to try it out. This video is helpful.

    Do you find using a APC is safe on all types wheels?

    • @DetailGroove
      @DetailGroove  6 років тому

      As long as you don't let it dry in the heat, yep. No cleaner will be safe if you let it dry in the heat

    Excellent process, very cool to see an entire exterior detail from start to finish, great job. Have you ever considered a steam cleaner, I know they are expensive, but seems like it might save time and money on chemicals. Would like your opinion and reasons why you don't like steam as an option.

    • @DetailGroove
      @DetailGroove  6 років тому +2

      Thanks for the kind words! I assume you mean a big enough steamer to wash the exterior? 1) I have a small van, fitting a ginormous steamer means I would need a bigger van. That's a fat no. 2) Saving money on chemicals is close to $0. I use MAYBE 10oz of actual cleaner in that entire process (not the water used to dilute said chemicals). 3) Just a personal preference. It in opinion, would not make the detail any faster or efficient

      Honestly, your best off going with a coating if possible. If not, go with Chemical Jet Seal

      I don't use them for the day. I really don't understand why detailers literally throw those towels away forever
