Thank you. We have a good bit of Live Oak around here. It takes a while to dry but is excellent firewood. It provides 36 million btu’s per cord vs. Red Oak’s 24 million, or White Oak’s 29 million. It is heavy, tough wood though.
Thanks. I’ve been really happy with the splitter and the whole setup. It definitely makes my work even more enjoyable and efficient. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@MDoodie11B1P Yes they are. Three bags make up a full cord. They also have loops on the bottom so I can flip them into my trailer and lift the bottom loops and dump it out in there. It beats stacking and dries faster too.
Hi. I am really appreciating every minute I can be out there when it’s not raining. Woodyard therapy is good for the mind, body and soul. Thanks for watching.
Great looking Oak you have there, nice splits. How do you like the 16 foot conveyor? For what you’re doing would there be any benefit to going with a 24 footer?
Thanks. I really like the conveyor. For my purposes I can’t see any advantage a 24 foot would give me. I could see if you were making big piles how would help but I don’t ever do that.
@@HalfAcreWoods Hi. Thanks for subscribing. I’m doing my best to stay out of the mud, but there’s not much chance of that this year. But, I’d rather be in the mud than a cubicle. So, I can’t complain. 👍🏻🔥🪵
@ C and M equipment in Gold Beach, Oregon is a Wolferidge dealer. I don’t have any experience dealing with them, so I can’t necessarily recommend them. But it may be a good place to start. I don’t know if they keep stock or not.
@ @DanielAtkinsFirewood check out this guy’s channel. I’m not sure exactly where he is, but I think he’s up there someone and knows a lot of the firewood community
Great looking wood! That splitter slices through like butter!!
@@dextertopaz Thanks. It was some great looking wood and it was no problem for the splitter. Thanks for tuning in. See you on the next one.
Good video…live oak…thinking this is the first time I’ve heard that species mentioned on a wood channel.👏🏻🇺🇸

Nice splitter and splits, too😉👍
Thanks. I’ve been meaning to say I like your logo. I’m not sure if it’s newish or I just never noticed, but it looks good.
@BigWoodMountain : Thanksgiving. I changed it about a month ago. Figured it was fitting for the channel.

Did you check the oil level in the engine before you start each time
@@philliphall5198 I don’t check it every time to be honest, but I check it fairly regularly.
