Ranger really raising the bar. What's not to like? I can see these becoming very popular. Your upgrades are making another good radio great, Matt. 👍💪👊👋 😑🦗
@@TheRadioGarage - LOL! But, they all sound so good. Sounds great and has everything you need. You do good work TRG. If I were buying a radio today I would grab one of these. Excellent buy and with your Tune & align, it will be sounding great for years. And I still have one more to send to you. :-)
1) any radio using a standard crystal locked PLL will be stable enough for SSB, 2) the crystal oscillator may also used to derive the frequency display.
Awesome that’s as stable as my 797 seems to be with the drift fix you did and if this radio doesn’t need the fix then ranger most be getting some higher quality parts for a change
a couple of questions/comments. First, if you want to show that the radio is dead on frequency using a tone on SSB then you need to show that your 1000hz tone is actually 1000hz. i know that there is nothing nefarious going on but some could call you out on that. next, the frequency stability you are speaking of is usually more of an issue when the radio is first powered up from cold. the test is to see the frequency change or not change as the radio warms up. What board is used in this chassis? the reason i ask is that it would tell me what frequency mods are available. also, if you're willing to disclose it, what final are you putting in there for the upgrade?
Yes I understand the test isn't perfect, I'm not running a lab. Just wanted to do a simple demo to show it doesn't drift wildly. Thank you for your input.
Will this radio fit in the semi cubby? And would i be able to hook it up to the trucks power supply in the cubby? Or does it need to be hooked up to the battery? Thanks

Yes they are definitely trying to produce good solid radios. They do indeed read the comments and then make adjustments based on the feedback. ☑️👍✅️

What's the price and thank you
Very nice!
When do you expect them to be back in stock? I’m interested in one.
👍🏻👍🏻
Wow I want one
Is the bass and treb. For receive only? I'm guessing that it's not for transmit am I correct assuming that?
Yes you are correct. Can be converted to a echo though upon request.
So is that factory installed echo and it's disguised with bass treble knobs on the front?
That’s what I thought too 😅
But needs to be modified to activate the echo. Bass n treble by default 😩
👍😁
@@TheRadioGarage ..what final are you putting in there for the upgrade? 2030+ or 540?

Yes fits in the cubby, same size as a cobra 29. Can hook it up to factory power posts.
