Gotta tell you something. I spent some time like I mean SOOOOMEEE time browsing videos about guys lectoring you on how to play the piano, what to do, what's the theory but each has something. You my lady are the complete package. Profesionality, content, quality, confidence, knowledge and compassion. I love how simply and easily you express your music art and talent. It's truly awesome that someone like you is here. I go back thru your channel and watch every video, you understand how music works and can present it to us in a magic way that simply charm and motivate. I've had so many gaps in my musical knowledge and watching your videos teach me in fun way. I usually do not comment like I'm a teenager with celebrity crush, but you have my full support, I click subscribe, I click like everywhere and I cannot wait for more content. BTW I've been looking for some nice explanation of augmented and diminished chords, have you done something on this topic yet? Oh never mind I will get there on my way thru your channel 😃😇🙏♥️
AWWWW Thank you so much for your kind words!! We chat about more complex chords inside the members area at pianote.com but i'll look into doing something for UA-cam in the future as well :)
Peace Ninja it’s never too late to become a Swiftie! 😉 Some people have an era(s) which they identify more specifically (“1989 Swifties”) or are an all-around Swiftie (ME! pun intended)! ☺️
Yeeeeaaaaahhhhhhh you absolutely need to do more cover performances like that, maybe even release them as a separate video. The whole thing was amazing and it was shot and edited really well too.
Lisa, thank you. A) for your professionally sound, clear and engaging teaching style; B) for your artistic flair that shines through all of your videos. I've been swept away by your earlier catches of vocal performances. So, to be honest I went to the end right away. Please, sing more to us.
I can not praise enough of the effort of explaining this accompaniment techniques so lucidly and beautiful. Thanks for pianote team for the generosity of explaining it in such adigestible manner.Hope to see many such accompaniment tutorials
Yay! A song tutorial. I now see the need to learn to sight read. I loved the atmosphere with the cozy lights. It felt dark but warm at the same time! I almost thought you forgot us today 😭. But i know Lisa would never forget her audience. :) Thanks for the extra gifts
You are so engaging to watch. I never played piano in my life but bought an electric piano this weekend just to figure out how to play this song, which I think is so amazing. YOUR video is SO helpful in figuring out how to play....
Thank you, for your straight-forward teaching, Lisa! I am a piano teacher and although I can play anything I want at a professional level, watching your videos inspires me to use the chord strategy with my piano students. Thank you for all the tips and tricks!
I appreciate how accessible your videos are! This key signature is kind of complex (for me, at least) but you explain the concepts in simple terms that are easy to follow :) It makes learning the music a lot less intimidating!
It’s funny how the first person to perform a song can often capture it better than any who follow. Right after listening to this song for the first time I listened to the Taylor Swift version for the first time. She did an admirable job matching your version!! Tough luck for her! 😂

I've watched a few of your videos but I didn't know you could sing. Wow!!!!! Great lesson, so relaxed and I must say your posture is excellent. My old piano teacher used to stress the importance of posture! I loved this video, (even though I don't really like the song!). Thanks a lot.
Wow, I'm so glad you came up on my suggestions! I'm rusty with the piano, but thank you for the sheet music for this song! Huge Taylor Swift fan across all her genres/albums, so I can't wait to start sight-reading this and add it to my list of songs by Taylor I can play. ☺️

Hi! I've just purchased a piano because i decided that i want to learn to play the piano, but i have no idea where to start. Do you have some tips for beginners like me?
1) Buy a digital piano with touch sensitivity(or an upright piano but it would cost a lot more). 2) There is a video by PGN PIANO on UA-cam where he explains all of the basics of music theory needed to play the piano. Follow that. It'll help you. 3) Learn sheet music. Very important! It might seem very boring and also very hard but it will pay off in a few years. 4) Try to have fun. Don't learn songs which you don't like to hear. Learn pieces which you like and which would interest you. 5) Don't blindly follow the midi of a piece but try to understand the theory behind that(that's why you should learn sheet music). 5) If you can afford to get a (good) tutor then ignore all of my points and hire a tutor to teach you.
Ive been new to playing piano as well. Its been a month with at least 2 hours/day 6x/week practice. Giving you an advice as a beginner too, this are the things that I studied first to at least have a grasp in the piano 1. Familiarizing the position of the keys (lots of drill exercises in uoutube to practice on) 2. Hand coordination (im still enhancing this skill to myself, but what im doing with is some arpeggios? ) (right now i can say that im in 7 out of 10 hand coordinated. Its very difficult lol) 3. Some basic note scale. (Try to familiarize and memorize the note scales. For me, I first memorize the C Major scale since most beginner songs you can play in piano was in that scale) 4. Try to play nursery songs or kids songs ( a great way to practice and also great way to see your progress as you can say to yourself that you are actually playing a song in the piano) 5. This is the best and exciting part. Try to learn one song for a week that is very familiar to you and you really LOVE. Try to find its simplified or easy version so you can learn it and play at your level. ( for me, I currently can play Someone you loved, some Kpop songs, and some naruto ost.) (These is great way to get the passion in playing the piano burning) Then after these, learning the music sheets, the music theory and that sort of stuff will come next. Coz if you start with these, you will get easily bored. Or its just me hahaha Anyways, hope these help.
@@plapla2506 Well said. The first scales which beginners can start on is the C Major scale and the F Major scale. You will be surprised to see how many songs (majority of pop songs) revolve around the F Major scale.

What a concept. The left hand as the chord player, and the right, as the incidental. This is going to be tuff, I think. Right now, I'm so used to my left, being a bass player, right as the chord player, me singing melody. This kind of thing, keeps me interested.
Hi Taylor, yout piano playing, singing and teaching is simply wonderful. .. I love watching your videos ! Thank you so much, everytime you make my day 🥰🤗
This was a GREAT tutorial and I am really trying to follow it. Thank you!!!! Gorgeous song. Your vocals are perfect, Lisa. The only thing is the way you sing the word “favorite.” It’s just a matter of personal preference: I prefer the way Taylor sings it. She sings it in two syllables and you sing it in three syllables, so to speak. You made that part your own and that’s great, but I will follow the original on this tiny part. Sorry to pay attention to such a small detail. Thank you for this truly helpful and awesome tutorial!!!!! 🤩🤩
Wow Lisa ! I never realized just how nice your singing voice is. I sometimes chuckle ☺️ when I watch your great tutorials 🎹.... but was in awe 😮 when I heard you sing that entire song 🎤.... wow 👍🏽
