Absolutely beautiful machine and setup.
Usually we use harvi tools on harder materials like steel and titanium but for aluminum we like to use helicals. Even though I run a 5 axis that noise never gets old lol

@titansofcnc I was looking forward to the boobastic sale as well. We wanted a Doosan Lathe with y-axis for our company. When i contacted Doosan sales rep, he had no idea which machine were on sale and they couldn't find us any HTC for under $111k. We were highly disappointed.

Good evening everyone! What would be the best and safest Cam software to work safely with a Dosan 5 Axis? We bought this model from her "DVF6500" arrives in September, and we are in doubt about which Cam .
I like that he said 5 axis simultaneous when his actually only doing 4 axis simultaneous at max xD ( his running it as a 4 plus 1 and not a 5. The A axis was completely locked all the time ( 4 axis with a digital angle indexer) didn't see the A axis move as much as 0.0001 at any point)
Some of the cuts had B and C moving...which makes it Full 5th.

Adjustments to your stock to leave and rest machining would eliminate those, what I call, feather cuts.

So these days it's Master am over Fusion?
Master have always been over fusion ( mostly because it's like 85% Cam and 15% cad where fusion is more like 50% cad and 45% Cam and 5% metal work/bending/welding. So master have more resources and focus to put into there Cam fints why it's Cam is so much better)

I was really looking forward to the 25%-30% discount on this machine, turns out that discount doesn't apply to this machine :/ fml, super disappointed
I contacted Doosan on your behalf... I would be disappointed also. 65 models, figured the DVF would be included.
So I talked to Doosan and they said they would do something extremely special for you. DVF is a brand new machine and very price competitive so it didn’t qualify. They will contact you.

Thanks for the prompt comment. Yes i was told the same. Sales rep said there are over 300 Doosan models so the promo only applied to 65 or so models, the DVF series not being one of them. Through the boombastic show the DVF episodes were ones i paid very close attention to so it was a bummer to discover it’s not part of the discount.
But it does look like a special deal might be worked out. Hopefully it goes thru 🤞🏼

Full 5 axis? Where? The A axis was at 90 degrees the whole time, it was just 3+1 which is cool but you couldnt false advertise.
They are some pretty weak cuts. Lots of wasted time and for an endmill that size in a roughing op in aluminium.
Not impressed with this machine if thats how you need to run it
Toolpath is not optimized for this workpiece. Poor 5axis control. It is using the tip of the tool for steep surfaces instead of using the 5th axis.
Well he said they didnt run it hard, so they could run it dry. For the camera.
@@deth3021 Yes but I think they dont change the toolpath. It is just a slower feed rate.
@@OrderBringer41 I wasn't really sure what they meant exactly, just though they may have user lighter cuts, to "kiss the finish", as they would prob need to to get a similar finish without coolant.
But I'm not a machinist so what do I know.
@@deth3021 I believe they set their machine for a particular work piece, for 500 of those for example and start running. When its time to film, i think they slow it down. Maybe they are also taking lighter cuts as well as you mentioned, totally possible. But in the video, the end mill cuts air instead of material most of the time. It is not optimized, that is the point we are making.
