Last Monday I fished Mountain Creek past 150 Bridge. Had a really good day with 7 keeper size and 3 non keepers. Topwater up close to the bank. Water was clean past the bridge, no mud. Going back again in the morning starting in Little Creek.
@landonmoore76 Thanks Landon. My last video I had GoPro malfunction and I lost most of my catches. Although I don't always comment, I enjoy you videos and pay close attention....
I like ur thoughts on braid with moderate action rod. I use 30 or 40 lb braid with a moderate action 7 foot crankbait rod. Never had good success with mono on ploppers hard to hook fish on a long cast.
If you'll stop setting the hook the instant they hit top water baits and count to three before you lay into them, I guarantee youl start landing more. My dad was a top water king and he swore by this method.
I'm definitely setting the hook too fast. It's hard to get a good set setting down in a kayak. Going back and watching the videos helps me see what I'm doing wrong
Congratulations on the tournament. Looking forward to the video.
Thanks I finally caught some good fish yesterday

Yeah same for me usually the fish will hit the bait further away from the boat. I lose some but hook most bites
