Wow...talk about being tough minded. Most people are not that psychologically tough. I can’t imagine anesthesia residency and babies at home. Mad respect.
I had my second child 3 months before medical school. I remember doing anatomy flashcards while I breastfed in the middle of the night. It was hard, but women can really do anything.
Im 25 and have applied for medical school. I have 2 kids. This has inspired me to just go for it. Im extremely worried because im a single mom but i have a strong support system. Im going for it and absolutely nothing is going to stop me. Thank you so mudh for this video
I have 5… ages 18 years to 7 months and I’m just starting nursing school. I want to go to medical school in the next 4 years to train to be a nuerogastro specialist. It’s gonna be a long hard road but I know I can do it.
Thank you for this video !! I just finished middle school about to start highschool, and i also want to become an anesthesiologist. I still want to have a family and not just focus on work but i didnt know what was a good time.
This video really put things into perspective... I've been watching too many tiktok videos of Stay at home moms struggling to raise their kids.. they have no jobs, not going to school, and already fully supported by their husbands......Meanwhile there are people like you who can manage kids AND doing something crazy like going to med school which by itself is already challenging.
Great job and kudos to u and hubbie for making it all work out! Our kids are 16 and 18 and finally the door opened after 10 years of working thru finances kids mortgage payments not to mention repeating upper level sciences to get the grades I needed and mcat score
Thanks for sharing your story! I think one of things that really shone for me in this video, apart from how amazing you are, is how important women’s choice of partner is for how she is able to achieve her goals
So inspiring! I had my first baby as an intern and now gearing up for twins in my CA-2 year. I love to see that you made it work because sometimes it can be such a struggle. Thanks for sharing your story. And yea im probably done after this too! 3 and done lol
I am finishing my bachelor degree, about to write mcats and planning to apply for med school the end of this year. I have one son and just found out I'm pregnant. I am not feeling as confident that I will be able to manage with 2 as I was with 1. I don't want to give up but it's overwhelming. At the same time theres nothing else I imagine myself doing career wise. Do you feel that your kids have missed out because of your career? Thank you for sharing. Women need to empower each other to remember thats it's okay to be a mom and have career goals. Theres so much shame around it sometimes. But I also want to be realistic about my kids care. I would choose them over anything if it came to it
As we come closer to Mother's day, let us not forgot the strong Mothers for their unbreakable strength to not only pursue accomplishments and dreams, but also take care of their young!! 🎉🎉
I’ve never related to anything more! I’m a 24 nicu nurse. I got married at 20 with my high school sweet heart. I want to go to medical school but idk when I want to have children! And I’m scared of having them late 😊
I know you said you got a lot of help from your partner and mother. Can you just expound on how you went about studying because I can imagine with the help mommy duties were not on pause. Big hail to you btw I cant imagine the amount of hard work and sacrifice required.
I'm looking at starting med school. I share custody with my son. I have him every other weekend. Worried about if it's going to work out with med school. And if my future residency placements will all work out cause I can't exactly just up and move away.
I’m a mom and pursuing medicine. My kids are 7 and soon to be two. I’m praying I make it all the way. I start my undergrads spring semester. I’m terrified honestly
@@3anesthesiame40 thank you so much. I have a great feeling about this journey. I am soooo proud of your accomplishments. I watch your videos every night to stay motivated. I pray God continues to bless you all tremendously
