    Thank you for this. I just brought one to cut up some wood, and the instructions are useless and even so bad, its dangerous. I didn't know what blade was what, how to fit it. I needed to see it in action and your video was spot on! Thank you and I now feel happy to use it (But I will take off the battery when I change blades - I felt nervous when you did that!! 🙂😳

    I got one today. Wasn't planning on it. I just needed batteries and I bought 4 tool set that comes with a drill, impact, light, and that saw which in includes 2 batteries and charger. It was literally cheaper buying a 4 set tool with batteries than just a 2 pack battery. It was on clearance for $129 while batteries cost the same price.

    The difference between the battery you just got in this video and the older top of the line battery compared to the one below it is that the top battery talks to the brushless tools in a way while the ones below that won’t talk to the brushless tools but they still will work

    Great review. I got this sawzall and have been using it with a 2ah battery. Mine does good for about 15-20 min of straight cutting but then the thermal protection on the battery shuts it off. I wonder if others have the same problem.

    • @juanzamarripa3778
      @juanzamarripa3778 Рік тому +1

      Because you’re running it straight and it’s overheating causing it to go into protection mode

    I had to find a video on this Sawzall to say what I just did. I've had this Sawzall for about a year now. And today I really put it to the test. My mother inlaw has a pipe leaking and it's from a tree. I have a chainsaw but I need to take it into the shop. And I never have time. The base is only 12 inches. There was power lines in every directions so I couldn't just let it fall. So I grabbed my ryobi and a 4ah lithium plus battery. I didn't have any problems and I had to make quite a bit of cuts. It took me two hours. I had some problems but it's probably because of the cheap harbor freight blades. Real cheap. Stick to Diablo. It's a 105 out. And the battery lasted just about to end of the base when I got all the limbs cut. Half way through I had to get another one. A regular 4ah one. I went through two bars cutting the base. I even bled on the tool because I got a nose bleed up on the ladder and didn't give two donkey turds to come down and put a tampon in my nose cause it got broken in a bar fight a couple years back. So there is blood and tree gunk all on it. Didn't burn out in 100+ degree weather. Great damn tool. Wish I did a video.

    I'm a ryobi guy but the dewalt looked like an old ass model. a new dewalt tool with new dewalt battery would probably outperform the ryobi

    larger amp hour dictates longer runtime not les power.

    • @Dan-wb3ed

      Not neccesarilly true. Higher ah battery will typically have lest voltage drop therefore outputting higher current which equals more power. Depending on the tool and the battery might not be noticeable, but some tools such as a circular saw that require more power will perform better with a larger battery. Idk how noticeable it will be between say a 4ah or larger, but if you use a 1.5 ah battery and 4ah on a circular saw I bet you notice the difference. I think 4 ah is considered the standard needed with most more demanding tools, technically might run with less. But not optimally.
