The light I use is the Cajun Voodoo Plus and I would highly recommend it. It isn’t heavy at all and very bright. The one my boy has on is one of the GearOz light…it’s very similar to the Kohree light.
If you back a couple months ago we done a video called “hunting on a budget”. We do a short review on there because I had just gotten the Cajun light. If you need to see something more than that let me know.
How effective is boxing them when they come back? Mine occasionally does the same and keeps hanging around me, I lose my cool, pop her, and then she hunts like like her tail is on fire, but I prefer not to hit my dog if there is a better way.
I personally believe it depends on the dog. I wouldn’t hesitate to use the E-collar on my older dog…he would get the hint and get gone. But with this pup she seems to be a little more skiddish if you discipline with to heavy of a hand. And I’m still getting her comfortable with the collar and don’t want her scared of it. I feel like at this stage I just have to tread lightly with her correction until we can get her mature enough to handle it.
I was proud to hear this explained. It is always what I did with any dog that quits when they shouldn’t. They are put in and not allowed to bark in the box. And it is the only thing I have ever needed to do. When they can hear a race or two and fight or two with game, and are NOT ALLOWED to participate, they learn real quick to keep themselves away from the box. I do the same principle at the tree. If a dog is loose or disinterested at the tree (or maybe a little too young even, and I don’t want it to experience fear or pain in any way), I tie him way back, where he can tell what is going on, but is not allowed to participate, even when the game comes out.
I was eating supper with my dad today and I saw a raccoon digging through the barrel where we burn our garbage in the backyard. He got the .22 and shot it. Recently near me people have been having a lot more issues with raccoons. I hope this sends a message to other raccoons to stay off my property

We were on vacation last week…looking forward to hitting the woods hard with this pup now.

Keep it up! Great to see some of America's youth out!
Thanks man. My boys love hunting and fishing. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Awesome my brother, thanks for sharing, keep looking up!
Thanks brother!
Good hunt fellas, summer hunting can be tough.

I’d like to know where this property is located lol. I’m sure some coon hunters could help with that.
Sounding good
Thank ya…just wish we could’ve shown the coon on camera. Tough hunting this time of year.
